- Thanga Magan (English: Golden Son) is a 2015 Indian family drama film written and directed by Velraj. Produced by actor Dhanush, it stars himself in the lead role, alongside actresses Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson.
he film opens with Tamizh (Dhanush), his wife Yamuna (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) and his mother (Raadhika Sarathkumar) moving into a new home which is not very comfortable. Tamizh leaves them with his friend Kumaran (Sathish) after settling them in the new house in search of a job. All the companies are pleased with his resume but are hesitant to give him a job due to the occurrences in his past job. Finally, out of need, Tamizh becomes a worker in a roadside biriyani shop. He comes home for the night after he gets drunk. He then narrates the reason for him becoming like this through a series of flashbacks..... Watch it

My observation (apart from all the masala elements):
Samantha's entire life revolves around her husband, her in laws, tiffin box and probably her unborn child. She has no opinions. Very importantly we don't learn much about her in the whole movie. What I can deduce is that she is very dutiful and compliant.
Oh the carrying home scene is just so perfect! Wish I had a husband who did that ❤️❤️❤️

Love is between the individuals only but when comes to marriage its all abt the family and community as well unless you wanna run away and get married. she has her dream and he has his too. plus he wasnt in the right mind becoz he lost his friend a moment ago. If you say, you cant lie to your parents to love somebody, then i assume you have nvr been in a relationship coz not all parents will approve of their kids having love relationships.
