Rugrats began with a birthday episode and ended with one, too.
This what TvTropes would call "Book Ends".
I think Didi depended on Dr. Lipschitz a little too much lol.
Curtis Arrington Yeah definitely. She was a typical new parent that needed all the help she could get but it wasn’t really all that good help funny enough.
Curtis Arrington yes
@maltese 0217 They were on the fence about parenting for a loooong time. XD
I think it was a spin on how many Americans relied on Dr Spock
The best part is when he finally appears on the show he turns out to be a complete hack. He had no idea how to deal with a couple of crying babies. The first three seasons are great to re-watch as an adult, it's a lot more clever than people thought.
It's funny how both the first and last episodes were about a birthday! And I loved Kimi and Chuckie!
I like Kimi too she is as cute as a pikachu and i can just tell that she got her cuteness from her mother
I want someone to do this on my birthday! 0:26
@@TheAlanWilcoxAsh (4Kids): WAHHHH
I Love Tommy Pickles
Chuckie Finster is Tommy Pickles’s Friend & Kimi Finster is Tommy Pickles’s Girlfriend. 😏
Chuckie: Where is the ball, Tommy? Where? Where?
Tommy: There!
Fun Fact: Chronologically both Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys ended with the film Rugrats Go Wild but both series’ respective final episodes aired over a year later June 2004 within days of each other.
Dan Nigro Tommy’s First Birthday Aired on August 11, 1991.
Rugrats, WIld Thornberrys, and Hey Arnold all ended within months of each other because Nickelodeon decided to put all their chips on Spongebob
Rugrats later had two episode specials titled ''Tales of the crib''
I watched Rugrats Go Wild!! My favorite part was when Spike was swimming in the water and gets hit by a wave. "Now that *BITES!!*" Lol.
but what about the direct to video Rugrats Tales from the Crib from 2005 and 2006
“ *I WANT MY* - hi, my name’s Susie, what’s yours?”
*I Want My Pizza*
I WANT MY DADA
I WANT MY DOLL
Rugrats was more than just a cartoon to me - it was an integral component of my life growing in the 90s, and I was totally obsessed with it for most of my childhood (at least to the end of the 90s.)
❤❤❤
"The mailman's coming soon. Are you gonna bite him?"
Back to the memory lane I love rugrats so much
Do you have a favorite Rugrat?
NickRewind Chuckie
mine will always be kimi. ^^
Phil, Lil, and Susie.
lol yes it tommy
Which Rugrat is YOUR favorite? 🍼
Chuckie
I have 2 favorites. Kimi and Susie
CatDog
Kimi
Susie and chuckie
Stu was way ahead of his time, inventing the "Hover-rama" in the first episode, basically a drone in the early '90s
I miss the rugrats so much this show will forever be a 90s Nickelodeon classic!!!
They were airing it for 20 years here in Ireland. (PS: They still did a few reruns of Season 8 and 9 in 2020)
@@savinotubeproductions8795Wait, What?
Rugarts been around nearly as long I've been alive. Man I'm old.
And this show is coming back in the near future
Koral Davis a reboot and a live video movie
Nickelodeon is doing a reboot of the classic. It will start in 2020, when the reboot please don't expect the same story line or design like the original. Like for example the new reboot of DuckTales.
The rugrats are gonna be adults in the reboot
Let's hope fortnite dies in the near future
@@katherinelong5411 I expect it to have some continuity, given that Arlene Klasky, Gabor Csupo, Paul Germain, and a few of the writers from the 1991-1995, and 1996-2004 runs are returning.
I find it funny how rugrats first and last episodes was a birthday episode
Yeah 😂
Actually Kimi takes the cake aired in 2002, 2 years before the final episode
The first and last ? Nickelodeon is doing a reboot of Rugrats in 2020. Which is great nearly 30 years and they are bringing the series back on TV.
As long as they don't change the art style. Shows now a days are so poorly animated. Look at everything on cartoon Network right now.
@@fridaynightnicktoons6885 This reboot is unfortunately going to be live action.
we do not want tommy pickles doing the floss
you forgot nick turns everything into the baby of a train wreck and a dumpster fire via fortnite dances
@@GenieVillain26 no I wanted it to be animated 😭
Blackwolf100 Revolution it could be worse. Tommy doing a default dance
First episode starts with a birthday and the last episode ends with a birthday. First episode of Tommy’s first birthday and the last one is the birthday of Chuckies little sister Kimi.
Yep.
Tommy in the first episode, he sounded just like Edd from Ed, Edd n Eddy.
No he didn't, whatchu talkin about?
YowLife Productions His voice from the early episodes.
@@Abbimation. If you mean the cadence, then perhaps you're right, as both Tommy and Double D had a more raspy voice in the beginning of their shows.
However, that would be the only thing they kinda had in common, their voices are totally different.
YowLife Productions That’s really what I meant, they had raspy voices from the beginning, but at the end of the day, they have different voices so their later voices aren’t common.
but they have different voice actors
The first word of rugrats: happy
The last word of rugrats:Kimi
Actually,They were Good Morning Champ. This line was cut in the latest releases for some reason.
4:03
I remember watching the Behind the Scenes footage of the Rugrats, and darn!! E.G Daily, Kath Soucie, and a few that did baby roles mastered the crying cues in the booth! That took a lot of time, energy and guts to handle that!! Wow!!!
Saddest episode was when Chuckie found out his mom passed away😢
😭
What? He Got A New Mom
Don't Look A Me For No Reason
thats is indeed rather sad but it is relatable but he did get a new mother when his father married Kimi's mother
4:00 What makes Tommy's first cry unique from most others is the lead-in.
The first episode shows Tommy wearing a red shirt with overalls.
Oh, he looks so cute
I’m getting all grown up the complete series
I don’t know why, but I always LOL so hard when Betty says “Hey old timer. How the heck are ya?” while slapping Lou on the back a little too forcefully causing his glasses to go askew. One of my favorite Rugrats moments. 🤭🤣😆😂
I've watched the final Rugrats episode in 2004 and I haven't the feeling, that's it, Rugrats is over. 😭💔
I'm Bringing Back A 1990s Nickelodeon Show
Think What It Is
3:26 chocolate pudding at 4am
0:32 is so much fun and you have ❤
4:00 that face you make when Pokémon Cards are out of stock in 2021 🤣🤣🤣
Tommy had plenty of stock cry sound effects, but of course, the one that debuted in "Touchdown Tommy" is what everyone thinks of when Tommy cries. Also, I always thought of "Moose Country", the one where Chuckie had his next freakout, as something of a sequel to "Barbeque Story".
3:30-3:47 Always get a kick out of Lou talking about walking FIF-TEEN MILES!!!!!!😁😄😆😅😂🤣
Nickelodeon began going downhill for me in 2000, but the final nail in the coffin was when the Rugrats ended in 2004.
thats the problem with hollywood when they start a new studio or tv channel they are the next big thing but then after a decade or 2 they start to finally lose their touch
@@TheAlanWilcox No necessarily lose their touch but play it safe. Focused on generic or reuse story lines.
@@TheAlanWilcox School Bus Tantrum aired on February 9, 2023.
I can't believe they beheaded reptar for his last appearance
Do The Wild Thornberrys Firsts and Lasts!
Maybe next week or so (Monday, Wednesday or Friday)
nicktoons fangirl yes please!!!!!
I’d love to see that
So basically the firsts were Tommy's birthday and the lasts were Kimmy's birthday
Yep.

It's supposed to be live action

0:00 was the best moment of my life!!
classic rugrats was the best nicktoon ever and it's spin off "all grown up".
Every time I hear Chuckie in the later episodes I hear Bart Simpson 😂

Then we move 10 years later to all grown up
I would watch the last episode all the time as a kid not knowing it was the actual last episode..
Because its not a proper series finale, I think the all growed up one is more of a finale

Christine Cavanaugh voiced Chuckie between 1991-2002 across seven seasons and the two films then Nancy Cartwright took over the role for the last two seasons after Cavanaugh's retirement in 2001.
0:13 Happy birthday Rock Paper Scissors
I Saw Butch Hartman & Tom Saville Making Animation From Jimmy Timmy Power Hour In 2004!!!!!
Love Rugrats!!!!!!!!!
1:28 Hey Tommy, your Uncle Drew is narrating the Reptar commercial!
In that episode they go to the movies but they don't see Reptar instead they see some bear movie and then Tommy tries to find the Reptar movie but instead ruins the entire movie theater
Lol
Lol
Classic Rugrats is the best I like seasons 1 to 5
Anyone know where the music from the begining is from??
The movie trailer for Reptar is so cool, I would definitely see that movie if it was real. 1:26
AHHHHHHH RUGRATS I LIKE THIS!
In the first episode,Angelica was animated with rubber hose animation.

What about All Grown Up?
"All Growed Up" was a great special for the 10th Anniversary of " Rugrats" and "All Grown Up" was a great show!
All Grown Up was a spin-off from Rugrats. They only talking about Rugrats
They said original series
All grown up is fun though.
Maybe next week or so (Monday, Wednesday or Friday)
Rugrats Is My Second Favorite Nickelodeon Show. My Number 1 Is Hey Arnold.
Your Right, It's Just A Break
I’m crying about the show ended
I never saw the final episode of Rugrats
SebasTheClassicCartoonNetworkFan Hah, same.
I did
Jorge Cruz Was it good?
That's OK, Neither did I
Nickelodeon,You need to update the first episode of rugrats. Before Tommy wakes up, you hear Stu say "Good Morning Champ!". This is cut in the Paramount+ airing.
It is funny how the video says Rugrats Oringal seires like the reboot already happened.
I don't know what the Rugrats reboot is about
I thought this ep aired Oct 2002 and the last ep was Bravilest Baby/Gimme an A. Maybe I’m wrong.
