- Part 9 in a series following the journey of Frodo Baggins, as described in J.R.R. Tolkien’s ‘The Lord of the Rings’. The company finally leave the darkness of Moria, and head along the Dimrill Dale, before arriving at the Golden Wood...
January 15th: 6.5 hours travelled, covering 16 miles (Dimrill Dale to Nimrodel)
January 16th: 8 hours travelled, covering 32 miles (Nimrodel to Central Lorien)
January 17th: 4 hours travelled, covering 16 miles (up until noon, rested at Cerin Amroth)

Please, please, please continue this amazing series! In case the character level is a problem, I would be happy to let you use my main account to fulfill the journey (I play a hunter being at lvl 125 at the moment). With it, the only demanding part should be the Morgul Vale :) Unfortunately, the Emyn Muil are still not on the map and I have no idea if this will happen in the near future.

Another great video, can't wait for the next! I remember when I first emerged from Moria, the feeling of finally being out of the long darkness and into the beautiful golden forest. One of those game experiences that almost seem to transport you!
That is one of the best moments in lotro...especially if you're in Moria for some time. :)

I haven’t said this before and I am kind of late, but thank you so much for these videos. I was having an especially hard time reading Lotr because I couldn’t quite see all of the location in my head. These videos do a great job at showing them off, thanks a lot!
Me too, specially since english isn't my first language and a lot of words that tolkien uses are old or I just don't know them, specially when it comes to geography and plants and all that so this is kinda helpfull

Thank you a lot for this series, it was so beautiful made! It's sad it is incomplete, but this must have taken a lot of work and the ongoing chapters would have added the problems of Emyn Muil not existing in the game and the dead marshes being split up. I've have done most of the journeys following the fellowship in game with a kinship that recited the books at the matching places and can only recommend trying that out... or just rewatch Frodo's Journey on this channel :)

I just found these the other day and have really enjoyed them. Several Easter Eggs I had never noticed playing LOTRO over the years were pointed out, much to my delight. I hope at some point you pick these up again and continue the series.

Well damn and blast. I just stumbled upon these wonderful video's only to find they end here. They were fantastic. I have been playing this game since the start and you showed me at least four locations I did not know about, like the troll cave and the ropes from the river crossing. Nicely done sir...nicely done.

These vids are excellent reading aids for the geography! I just got into Tolkein and never seen the movies yet, so these helped a lot. Sucks that this is the last vid for this series though.

Is there a Chapter 10?
Hi, me and some buddies want to journey to gondor from bree. We are all level 20 and wonder if there's a safe route. We have picked up the free expansions with the recently added discount code, however I am not sure if we can go through the mines of moria. We tried going over the misty mountains to no avail, so what would you do? next we may try the gap of rohan or caradras but itd be nice to know if it's even possible without dying a million times
Level 125 player here. First things first, there is no safe way to Gondor for you. That being said, you can still make it. I recommend googling "chicken play". Players already made it to Gondor and even Mordor running solo as level 1 chickens. There are excellent guides where to go to be as safe as possible. It is still pretty hard but not impossible. I mean, even if you dye, you respawn nearby and not in the Shire as those poor chickens do :)
