I used to make corsets so I understand the "wiring" situation with the bandeau top. Basically the boning is made from plastic, so it bends when you sit and then it bends out of shape. In proper corsetry you use what is called a spiral rod, which has many tiny spirals forming the bone, so when you bend the bone bends, and it never goes out of shape. You could get a tailor to insert corsetry bones if you are ok with the extra expense. It shouldn't cost too much.
