I always carry two Band-Aids in my bag when wearing new shoes, and carry a back-up pair of shoes that also work with my outfit, just in case. Some shoes seem fine when trying on at home, but turn out to hurt somewhere when I walk a lot, as when shopping. I try to break in new shoes by wearing them for several half-days or days at home first, but I don’t always get the chance to do this.

For me, fabric choice is all about avoiding synthetics/plastics. If it’s not 100% natural fiber, I just don’t buy it (I include rayon/lyocell in this group because they’re breathable and non-allergenic and made from plant fibers, but are manmade). That’s one reason I love your channel, your focus on top quality wardrobe items (genuine leather items and fine jewelry, too). So, I love the brown trousers made of linen and lyocell. I iron my woven-fabric items well, then just don’t think about the creases I get when wearing them. Ironing is so important to properly smooth and shape a garment, in addition to removing creases. (I generally steam my knits instead of ironing them).
Love national fibers! Except for outerwear. Especially with water and wind resistant jacket.

I really need to explore Vienna more. I think as a tourist you are more ambitious to visit all the cool places than as a resident. 😅. I also used to be very interested in Hapsburgers.

I would say that the two parkas are different. Longer is better for heavier rain and cooler days. the shorter one ideal for the opposite.

My beloved late Mom and I could shop for an entire eight hours, with just a lunch break. I can’t imagine doing that nowadays, shopping is so tiring, especially for the feet and back. Shops are also so overheated that I can’t stand it for long, even in the lightest clothing. It’s tricky right now, I can hardly wear a linen dress and sandals when it’s 50F, raining and with a cold boreal wind. I keep my home at about 64F and most shops are closer to 80F, it’s miserable. The fitting rooms are often even hotter and have no ventilation. I’ve gone almost completely online these days for my wardrobe, but returns are a nuisance, for sure. Any I have to do require driving and parking, living as I do in the California ‘burbs.

Do you know the numerical size of the black linen shirt and elasticated waist linen pant set you tried on? It looks like they come in sizes 2,4,6...The set looked very polished on you. Thank you for the shopping experience. I would like to order the COS linen set, but I would like to have a better idea about sizing before I place the order.
shirt 34, it is very oversized (I am normally 36/38). The trousers have just arrived and I got them in 36 just like those in the store BUT they are a bit too big and I wished I had gone with my true size which is 34 (in Cos trousers). In the store 36 was perfect 🙈.
