    Just picked one up at Walmart for $26. Looks like a winner! Thanks for the review.

    Thanks for the video. I am going to order one. Good luck at MoParty. The Hot Rod Power Tour is rolling through my neck of the woods and my budget forced me to make the call and pick one. Have fun! Please take lots of videos of the 1320’s!!

      I’ve had to make those calls this year too so I understand. I’ll definitely try to get some good vids from this weekend. Thanks!

    Hey Chris, this question is not related to this video. Considering the "BAD Shifts" you had this year, have you considered shifting manually? Would manually shifting your car be more predictable and reliable? Thanks

      I’ve thought about it but haven’t tried it yet. I doubt I’d get my best times that way but it’s worth a try to at least see how it goes. Next time I get a chance to do a test n tune or rental l I’ll have to remember to try it.

      I think I'd be very difficult to be super consistent run-to-run shifting manually. My '21 and my '22 1320's have never had a bad/weird shift, but then again I am racing at full weight running at Las Vegas (always high DA) with a best ever time of only 11.8 seconds...@@Scavenger1320

    Hey Chris, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a cat-back exhaust. I couldn't pass it up at $640 delivered. It's the MBRP 3" race, no mufflers and no active exhaust valves, just straight pipes with a big x-chamber and nice quad tips. I just hope it doesn't run slower, but if it does, I can return it to stock in under 2 hours as I removed the OEM system in one piece with no cutting. Sounds incredible in person; my phone mic could not even come close to capturing the sound, but here it is at and just above idle: czcams.com/video/rGsiHbhHOVQ/video.html

      Saw that, definitely sounds good even through the vid. I’m not hearing any raspiness which is what I don’t really like about mid-muffler deletes. I was hoping to make it out to Vegas for MCATS in March to maybe hear it in person, but the date doesn’t work for me. If there’s any other events like that around you let me know. I’d still love to make a trip west if I can sometime

    Random question. I noticed on your Amazon page you have the Pittsburgh torque wrench listed. Do you ever use the inch-lb wrench for fasteners?

    • @Scavenger1320
      @Scavenger1320  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I use it for the bead lock ring bolts on my drag wheels but that’s mostly it. Oh, and I used it on the exhaust manifold bolts on my Ram when I fixed the broken bolt issue. Most of the time though if it’s not bolting down something critical and doesn’t take a lot of torque I just use my old calibrated elbow lol

    Hey Chris, hope everything is okay, your video posting seems to have slowed down a bit. I have another exhaust question for you. I commented on a youtube video by trickmasterpc, asking him if the new magnaflow he installed came with a provision to eliminate the active exhaust valves. Turns out they do not. They also do not sell you the system without the mufflers or quad tips; I guess they want to keep the price up. Anyway, have you ever heard of any issues at all with locking the valves open, or deleting them all together? (done properly of course to prevent dash lights) This dude tried to tell me that it will cause cat and 02 damage, as well as reduce power. I told him he didn't know what he was talking about! Am I right?

      I’m all good, life has just been hectic. I’ve got footage for probably 20 or so vids, just got to find the time to finish and edit them. I remember when racer x first got the magnaflow kit it was brought up that they wouldn’t sell just pieces of it and you could only get the full $3k+ kit or whatever they’re charging now. There’s been no issues with writing the valves open. Mine have been wired open for years now. I do have the z auto plugs though, but I know several others that just did the whole " remove the springs and wire the valves open for free “ trick and no one has ever reported any issues with it. And yeah, that guy didn’t know what he was talking about. How could wiring open valves to a position they go into anyway cause any damage? And loss of power? Ridiculous too considering the valves open up 100% at WOT as it is. Sounds like he heard something somewhere online and is parroting it without thinking about it

    Hey Chris, Scat Pack exhaust question. Do you know anyone running the cat back full muffler delete Magnaflow X-Mod system #19536? If yes, did they run faster, slower, or no change in the 1/4 mile? I'm looking at it, but don't want to change from stock unless it actually helps at the track. I'd really like some more sound, but NOT if it doesn't yield a measurable performance gain. OR, just save a ton of money and just delete the mid & rear mufflers with same size straight pipes? Keep in mind, my car is only track driven, zero street use, so I don't care about interior drone. If the performance is enhanced (i.e.shaves off at least a 1/10th or two in the quarter) as well as giving a more aggressive sound. I'm hoping you know some results, I don't want to experiment on my car. Thanks Chris~ Anthony

      I hope you don't mind me jumping into comment. Exhaust cat backs are usually not going to yield any HP/TQ gains unless they are accompanied by headers, cats, and a tune. Any restriction is mostly going to be in the exhaust manifold. Cat backs and cut outs are mostly done for sound. I did headers, and cats on mine, with the factory cat back. You do need a tune to really benefit though, otherwise it's just sound with little to no difference. Mostly psychological. As to whether or not it's worth it. It can be, if you want to max out your 6.4 build

      Thanks for replying Patrick. I have an 8 year Mopar warranty, so no tunes for me. Cat back stuff would not void the warranty, tuning would for sure. My 2022 single seater 1320 is only used for drag racing, no street use at all. I was hoping I'd gain a little in the 1/4 and get a louder more robust exhaust at the track, however, if there is zero gain I'll just leave it alone...@@PatrickReagan

      I don’t have any good info for you unfortunately other than what I’ve “heard”, which isn’t exactly reliable. I know racer x got that system on his wife’s shaker scat a long time ago that there’s a vid on, but he was sponsored by them and I think he only did a dyno test. I’m still planning on doing an exhaust test but at this point it doesn’t look like it’ll happen until the first weekend in December, possibly November. My test though is just going to be on removing the stock cat back system. Just waiting for a daytime track rental where I can get a bunch of runs in, then let the exhaust cool down enough to remove it (while filming a how-to of course) and then getting a bunch of runs with the exhaust dumped. I was told by another 1320 owner local to me that every time he opened up his electric cutouts to dump his exhaust he consistently lost a tenth of a second, which is why I want to test it.

      @Scavenger1320 So your going to open the exhaust right after the cats? I'm looking forward to that test very much. Do you know any scat pack racers who have keep the stock exhaust pipes (retaining the factory H-pipe connection) and only deleted the four mufflers? I'd really like to know how that sounds, and more importantly, performs in the 1/4 mile. That would be an easy inexpensive mod.
