Thank you very very much for sharing this knowledge. SUBSCRIBED. I Own NP300 D23 Thailand production. 17k millage now. Leaked rear axel oil seals on 7k millage;Replaced front driver side abs sensors after 10k (it gave abs warning on the dash); excessive steering vibration while braking going down hill 16.5k millage (my place has 20km of winding downhill roads), it gave me goosebumps, made me feel like don't want to press the brake paddle anymore. Will be watching your channel for the rest of 7 years owning my 1st navara since 2015 Starting today. Nissan only give 3 years manufacturer warranty.

Just bought a new Np300 ST, was sceptical and a little nervous, never had a diesel but I got a really good deal, done my research prior and continue to research to stay on top of these things before they escalate. Had a look at mine, appears to be some distance away, but I will check constantly to make sure there is no rubbing.

Great tip, thank you. my hose was about 2mm away from the flywheel but had a clip on it which I pushed back into place & secured with a cable tie. Thanks again.

I had this issue, about 5 months ago, under pressure the hose reaches the pulley, then cuts and grinds a small hole into the rubber, I saw my coolant running out a day at work and got really worried. Carried the van to the Nissan in my country and they made me pay for the damages. Because they had no explanation of how the hose was being cut. Had to drain and replace coolant also.

Just had this issue with my Navara, Nov 2017 reg, 12000 miles, air con pulley sliced through the radiator pipe, fortunately noticed before it got too hot, and checked... All I would say is that on my Navara, the hose was on the left side of the engine, not the right as in the video... Nissan fixed the issue under warranty, and the new hose has a bracket to hold it away from the air con pulley.

Had 2 of these now a manual series 1 ran it 187,000km on out back corrigated roads in Aus. done a rear main seal and a set of shocks. for the hard work fully loaded gross 2.9t thought that was pretty good. Changed to an auto getting lazy, done 40,000km in 6 months same roads no issues yet. But i do all my own maintenance cant afford to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere may not see another car for days.

This happened to my np300. The pully kept rubbing down the hose, until 1/3 of the coolant ran out and even lubricated all of my hoses. I lost power steering because of this, the coolant is an oil based one, so when the vehicle is not in motion. I.e at a traffic light, I could not turn my steering left neither right.

Just for fairness we need to see both sides of the Nissan argument, I have done 45k in mine problem free and for what it cost new (Tekna auto) worth every penny I'm really pleased with it and always take mine over my wife new Cayenne this must say it all, it's a Swiss army knife of a truck and reasonably priced in my humble. mine goes over fields and suffers potholes it's never cleaned but I do have it serviced by Nissan dealers I don't use independents for the record it helps if there is a problem if you have been loyal to the brand once again in my humble opinion.

My coolant hose rubbed through last night 1500 miles from home in the middle of Croatia! I thought clearance was OK but seems I was wrong.
Being looked at by Nissan European assistance but has to be taken to Nissan dealer as cannot be repaired on campsite, and we have demountable camper on the bed. Nearest dealer 60km away. Being recovered to there on Friday to see if thay can fix before we drive to Calais for ferry. If not apparently Nissan will fly us and our SCUBA kit home with truck to follow once fixed, no one in Croatia will hire a car for one way trip to UK.
Apparently Nissan fix nothing abroad at the roadside not like cover in UK and non Nissan repairs can affect warranty.
Up to point orange engine management light came on Navara made no fuss transporting us, camper and SCUBA kit to far end of Europe.

Des, if the lower radiator hose is secured properly with the center screw halfway along the hose running parallel with radiator my guess is it should never rub but i have an idea if this is removed when changing the oil filter and not re installed it may indeed rub on the pulley. Would this maybe be the case?

I have a concern regarding an issue in NAVARA D23 np300 MT Oct 2017 built.
When it runs at a speed of 120kms/hr, it creates a vibration in the body. Although its mileage 2,400+ only
It was already checked by the dealer but found NO solution to the problem. They also checked the under chassis parts, wheels etc. Including the propeller. What could be the real reason. If ignored and no action taken what will happen if I continue with that speed.

I have that very model. It's a great truck, comfortable, smooth, well appointed and quiet at normal road speeds. However, take note of everything NP300 that Des says, especially about the timing chain. I don't plan on towing with mine so the timing chain problem is not an issue for me. Also, Nissan continue to leave their trucks chassis' open to corrosion by not coating it properly. Again, not a problem for me, as I live in Spain. Enjoy your new truck.

Wildtrak is a nice looking vehicle, had a 2015 Ranger XLT which had a couple of transmission faults (shut down while driving!), eventually traded in on ST-X Navara...smaller engine but the Navara seems a better all round vehicle than the Ford. Just done 101,000km problem free, costs less to service/run too. Each to their own I guess.

Doesn’t it have a 5 year warranty? Why hasn’t he taken it back to Nissan free of charge?

he doesn't know what hes talking about, you dont need to shut any doors or press anything on on your key, you just press the ignition button once without using your feet on the clutch (again he said brake) and it does power, radio etc.. another press on the ignition button and it puts into position 1

You are talking about cars somehow without dealership guarantee, so I believe customers did something wrong and dealer avoided to pay for repair. Just to remind you, that every Navara has 5 years or 160.000km guarantee, unless you follow service rules. So stop lying, please.
