In this video we teach you how to install a Lutron Maestro dimmer light switch. Lutron Maestro Dimmer switches are single pole dimmer switches that can replace your standard light switches in your home.
To Install Lutron Maestro light switches you do the following.
1. Turn off the power to the existing light switch through the circuit breaker.
2. Confirm the power is off. You can use a non contact voltage meter: amzn.to/3f5HGBk
3. Remove the cover plate from the light switch.
4. Remove the screws holding in the existing light switch.
5. You can no remove the light switch. Take a picture of the existing wiring so you can wire the new light switch.
5. Remove the wires from the back of the light switch.
6. Remove the lights switch.
7. Install the new Lutron Maestro light switch by inserting the wires per the picture you took.
8. Wrap the Lutron Maestro Dimmer light switch in electrical tape.
9. Screw the screws in to hold the light switch in place to the junction box
10. Reinstall the cover plate.
11. Turn the circuit breaker back on.
12. Congratulations the light switch is now ready to use. Check function and operation.

Mine doesn’t dim. It’s wired exactly the same but goes through a dc power inverter prior to the lights.

Thought I must've done something wrong but after watching this, I did exactly what was done here; however, every couple of times I turn the dimmer on, it starts strobing and the dimmer LEDs start flashing up and down. I also checked and the LED bulbs I have installed are on the compatible list for this dimmer. Not sure what's going on with this one.

Wat? How does not connecting the ground, still ground the plug?
You installed it without a ground wire connected so it’s not properly grounded...

I live in an area with conduit. The electrical conduit is the ground. Explained at 3:45 in the video.
