Maybe putting a ruler inside or marking height inside the boards on each corner would help identify the ice thickness throughout the season. That way you can start at 4 inches and identify if it’s been cut up too much on one side or all around and refill it
These types of videos always make me so motivated to build a backyard ice rink, but then I remember I live in the suburbs of Texas :(
The winters haven't been much better up here in Wisconsin...
@@lukeb5153 Got to go to Colorado recently and was lucky enough to skate on an ODR twice and a lake.
I can't help but wonder what his neighbors think about him.
gotta love him no?
FR same
I think they all use his rinks every year for free. I’m sure they like him. They even have a camp fire and hot room etc
Everyone in Canada had a odr rink though so it’s normal
FR
I always love virtually hanging in your backyard. Hope you can get the ice path back this year.
gatta love when Jeramy posts he always brings a smile when im feelin down
Btw. Since I last posted. I'm up from 6 pucks.. to 28. Got an indoor shooting range setup too! shots getting a lot better! 🙏 Thanks for all the tips!
My go to for anything hockey related, another great video!
For attaching the tarp to the boards do the eyelets line up with the bolts to secure the boards together? Possible to just screw them in and not deal with the zip ties? Wish I lived somewhere that actually got cold
Love your guys videos.
I know you have done a lot of work on synthetic tiles. Do you have a suggestion for those wanting to get skatable synthetic tiles in 2024?
Awesome Video Jeremey! We have something in common! We live in Barrie!
Every one of these videos reminds me I need to move out of the desert
Kind of a miss for the tarp to not have at least a fat center red line, creases, etc
Could 3d print mounts to use your court squares
that's a super sweet package... unfortunately I dont have $4k hanging around to buy one but a man can dream...
The puck slides along those boards better than it does at the full sized indoor rink I play at!
Would be nice if they included reusable zip ties, sure they cost a little more upfront but saves a lot of waste and recurring costs post purchase
Excellent Idea! We like to reduce waste anyway we can. We haven't found a solution that we love yet but we are working toward one for future seasons.
If these were 300 I’d buy it, luckily I have a pond for now but I might have to invest, great vid, when’ll the chara flex vid be out
awesome video..but filling the boards with water then letting it freeze seems like a a disaster waiting to happen.
The panels, once filled then frozen, lock together into a very solid wall with great puck play. They were designed to withstand repeated freeze/thaw cycles and have performed very well in yards across North America.
@yardrink9790 So it's inevitable threw expansion, freezing + pucks being shot at the objects you paid for to then be instructed to weaken. Your creating stress points in plastic then shooting hard rubber at them?
Why not fill with sand or something with give and dose not expand and weaken the product?
Wouldn't be as sustainable as a buissness I guess. 🤣
@@xXOAXxTempest Thanks! For sure, you could fill them with sand if you'd like. The filled-and-frozen panels definitely do not crack from repeated puck hits.
If you fill them with sand it then turns into a permanent rink. I think the idea is that this makes it possible to disassemble in the spring while still being very strong in the winter
Just dont fill all the way leave room for expansion. Duh.
he loves your videos
And to think it only costs 5 thousand dollars. Any kid can have one!
What did you do with EZ rink you had? And just a FYI you need a tuff shed for all things sport court. Cuz seeing your garage is painful 🥅🏒
100% agree, it’s on my list and I’m spending the next weekend getting my garage sorted 😁
Do they make several sizes. I would love a small one for our back drive way
Yes you can customize
Sizes range from as small as a 17' diameter circle up to 50' x 100'.
@@yardrink9790hey just wondering in the in use videos the rink is nearly filled to top. Are you able to just fill it with like a quarter to a third full so the boards work like a rink for the younlings and they can’t fall off it
I bought a house on a pond to avoid this and it has frozen maybe a week combined in 7 years. But still better than setting up my yard rink anf having never freeze either.
Bring back the old crown logo. It’s so much cooler and fresher
Can I make a back yard rink in Missouri???
hey Jeremy my sons a really big fan
Do you live in Canada?
Has a truck, uses roof of suv to move boxes... beauty
It’s really cool 13:47 13:56
Hi
What!?!?!?!
I wish my liner was $400....try 900-1200 for me
Must be a big rink!
i Love you'r vid
Next video: "Im installing a refrigeration system "
The oscillating fan has been going for a couple weeks… should be good to skate any day now!
I think Minnesota is the state of hockey not Canada
Minnesota is in US Canada is a country
Did it freeze yet? It's been 2 hours.
I put an oscillating fan on it, I think that should help
@@CoachJeremy Don't forget the ice cubes from the kitchen freezer.
Cool concept but not for starting at $3000
Hi 1:19
You can buy reusable zip ties
