- BACK HOME AT OUR PHILIPPINES BEACH LAND! And things are changing! The guys have cleared a new area that we may use to build something... a nipa house perhaps? Well we aren't sure yet, and I look forward to hearing a few suggestions!
This is just a raw video back home in Cateel. I catch up with Mama Rose and Mike, enjoy some delicious cassava cake, chika-chika, and well...

Build a covered surfboard “garage”, the other side can be a cabana with outdoor shower. Rent out surfboards to surfers. Sell coconuts for refreshments. Set up an internet cafe. Make some money from your property. Good luck, Kulas. Love your blogs.
Freshwater pool , on the cleared land , I grew up on the beaches of Australia surfing and to come home and swim in our pool after surfing all day is the best feeling

I am so happy that Higadan Cream Sand Beach is developing. I actually asked the niece of my friend who went to Cateel to check you all out someday and they said soon they will. Wow, that machine is going to make a lot of guests happy. Congratulations Rose and Mikegyver. 👏👏👏 Look at all those surfers like Siargao. Soon you will have a surfing fest there. It is amazing how fertile that land is. Meantime, I can't grow anything in my backyard. When my Canadian friends asks me how we grew anything in the Philippines, I could not think of an answer. Things just sprout on their own

That tree is called Talisay in Tagalog.It is excellent shade tree.It's broad canopy looks like an umbrella.

Build a concrete two story that will serve as storm shelter. No matter if it's tiny as long as there's an enclosed room for you to cover if there's a surge.
Maybe closer to the highway, awayfrom the seashore. Solid, strong edifice to withstand the strongest storm experienced in the area? Just a thought. Stay safe always.

Hi Kulas! Love watching your videos. I don't have any original ideas to add to those already given below, I just thought of your past laag-laags to different beach resorts, and these are my thoughts:
1) Defend the Boards from falling coconuts! A small, sturdy shelter maybe close to the water pump corner, not necessarily water proof, just coconut proof.
2) Picnic Hut with strong posts so hammocks can be hung for sleepovers, maybe 2-storey?
3) Shade trees like the Talisay trees near the picnic hut.
4) Fruit trees are great, but be sure to select trees suitable for your propery's soil type.

11:19 - Kulas, in any resort-like-residences in the Philippines, there are always a Nipa hut with benches surrounding a center table with a BBQ pit nearby to cook the "pulutan" and a fire-pit for a bonfire.

Having watched your vlogs since 2017 upon arrival here in kelowna reminds me of how Philippine weather could be. Yeah its rainy season. Filipino life is routine life. We tend to be excited about amihan then holy week the fiestas then the coming of rain coz its school year and when thw ber months came thw lingest xnas in thw world. Hope everyone can fly again back ssafwly to Pinas. And yeah i hope this expensive qyarantine heresucks. Missed u pinas.

Hi Kulas, regarding the area cleared by Madman I suggest you make a Fire Pit using bricks or similar material and put benches made of coconut logs around. It would be a great area for BBQ, pulutan with beer especially in a clear moonlit night with some sea breeze… Wow 🤩 I can just imagine!!!!

Except for maybe some grass, I would leave that space open (unless you really need another covered area).
You can send the paddle boards back to the manufacturer in Cebu to be repaired. And you better make a surfboard stand that's protected from the coconuts. Now you have two boards for repair.
