Yankee i think many of us would be interested in a video about (how to save 100k for stacking). In my current situation that is well beyond pie in the sky but some inspiration wouldn’t hurt.
Remember, I'm 56. 20 years ago I couldn't do this video. However, there are MANY MANY reasons I can today:
1) God's blessing (which I don't deserve)
2) Excellent parental training (they taught me SO MUCH!)
3) Education (a practical useful college degree)
4) Hard work (MANY long hours of toil--especially before children)
5) Living at or below my means (avoid consumer debt like the PLAGUE)
6) Saving HARD (I'm a saver and only spend significant money after much deliberation, consultation, and prayer)
7) Wise investing (contrarian, value-focused, low speculation, no gambling, etc.)
8) Generous giving (at least 10% of everything I earn)

In many cases, the truth can be pretty bland. But it's still the truth.
Living on less than one earns is the very 1st step in building wealth.
This is what we have done. Neither my husband nor I have a college degree, but we worked hard, we always lived below our means, kept debt low, told ourselves NO on things we wanted, not always but a lot. Now we are retired and we are able to travel and do the things we want to do!

and invest some of their savings to grow their wealth. My wife and I do have college degrees and worked hard in school to excel at
our chosen professions. We also lived below our means, saved a lot, and invested quite a bit as well. My wife retired after working
as a teacher, principal, and district administrator in her 30-year career. I taught for a couple of years and then went into industry for 32
years where I worked as a lab technician, quality control chemist, R&D chemist, and finally as head of our R&D dept. She retired at
age 51 and I retired at age 55. This was possible because of our approach to personal finance and good money management. We
both wanted things that we did not buy so that we could fund our kids college expenses and our retirement. We now know that things
don't bring happiness but that having freedom from debt and employment is a lot more valuable. We go where and when we want, help
family / friends / neighbors as much as we can, and donate to a few worthwhile local charities. Life is good for us and we like to share
some of what we now have with others. But, as I am sure that you know, it didn't just happen. It was made to happen via time and
effort.
@@aaronhopkins6697as a 23 year old, i’ve had jobs where I work over night away from home so i’d do nothing on my off days and save a ton of money so ive always understood staying home = saving money but at the same time i want to enjoy my life and dont want to die with tons of money and no memories
The bank takes weeks to get large amounts of cash out and ask you 100 questions. To me, that's pretty scary.
My local CU branch takes 3 days to get me the usual $6-8k that I request from time to time because
they don't have enough on hand for some of their customers to do this and for check cashing purposes
and have to get it from their main vault. They call me when the cash is ready and I drive into town and
pick it up. All they want from me is my photo ID so they are sure that I'm the account owner. I appreciate
it that they are taking care not to hand out my money to anyone else but me. It was a little more hassle
to get a $50k wire transfer going but there are more government regs on wire transfers than on simple
cash withdrawals. Fraud is an issue in this, particularly when an older person makes such a request.
They don't want my money going to a "Nigerian Prince" or some other swindle.

@@themoose5419 I know about scammers have older people taking funds out but when someone asks to just close their accounts and want it in cash why got filed reports out and pay taxes again

We are on the same team even if I am a Houstonian. I'm $112k into silver since April 3rd. Going to be putting close to $5k a month into silver until it becomes untenable.
I just topped off the stack to 400oz of silver, 6 oz gold and 2 oz of platinum. I keep a nice stack of cash 20-25k and I’m feeling like I’m just starting. The more I stack the more I feel I can sleep safe knowing I can weather the upcoming storm.

Great video again!! I've got a tight budget because I'm retired but I'm trying before I started "stacking" if I can really call it that! I was blowing about 250 to 300 a month now I'm buying silver with that and just staying home a little more. When I hit 100 oz. Mark I'm going to start buying gold. Great plan, Jim. We paid off our house back in 2014, sold it in 2018, had to get a bridge loan,
and bought a home out in the country. Once are house in town was sold, the bridge loan was
repaid, so no debt for us.
My wife is a tremendous shopper. When her 2007 Dodge Caravan was getting on in years, I told
her that she should buy a new or newer one and that if she did I would pay for it and she could
pay me back half of the cost. I did this because of love and also because we drive this car quite
a lot for family uses. Anyway, she's now down to owing me only $3500 on it and it will be paid off
by January 2023. She got a terrific buy on it too, as it was a lease return car in really excellent
shape and with the features she wanted. We got this in 2019. Since then the value of this van
has increased by about $10k, thanks to a tight car market and used car prices rising sharply.
Not that we are interested in selling it but just to show that it was a really good buy for us.
Thought about paying off the mortgage until I realized that I am actually paying less and less each year due to inflation and a good interest rate . Still , it always feels good to eliminate that payment and eliminate the burden . Congrats !

Just purchased another 4 oz buffalo's on the dip, but im glad i bought most of gold when it was $1000 an oz. Silver seems to high with premiums right now, but i have plenty bought from the past. I like your videos. for shtf i have 300 of halves, quarters and dimes each
Great plan Yankee, I'll be moving some FIAT out of the bank for liquidity myself. Make sure you prepare by stocking away some food.......I see bad things on the horizon. There is literally a shortage of everything now, and the one thing that would push everyone over the edge is lack of FOOD.

Yankee I agree, I am a old silver buyer so well over you in silver and now stacking gold only. If it goes side ways I think this time silver will be the over all winner because of the future manufacturing direction planned for the world and the fact long term whats going to run out first SILVER supply . I all so don't hope it happens in our life time, we really need to see how it plays out does cash stay, do we go with some type of government cyrpto and how it's set up and how they handle the cash thats out there. If it does us or our kids will have to smartly have to determine if the gold or the silver goes first or at all after the reserve cash we stashed is gone. 😈

It's good advice! I'd keep at least 3 months worth of living expenses on-hand in cash, but the rest I would definitely throw into Gold & Silver. You really need to ability to be outside of the system because I think eventually we'll be forced out of the system or forced to make a choice that we can't make. I think we're getting closer and closer to that point, though I don't know that the first imposition of a CBDC will directly represent that choice. I think that will come a bit later, but all of this is a precursor for what the Bible talks about in Revelation.
I think we have witnessed the underlying technology needed in Revelation 13:17 that will be used with CBDC.
I think that is the most awesome idea that someone who has the ability do should do and I applaud your putting your money where your mouth is. I can't stay away from buffalos😇🤩💥

Not sure it matters but after selling a couple rental properties, we stacked gold and silver hard. But I always keep our gold and silver purchases to just under $10 000 at a time to keep off their radar. Usually 3-4 gold ounces at a time and up to 50 ounces of silver at a time. I’m sure u have a good plan.

@@billm.3449 You got me on that one, Bill, as I have NO idea. 40+ years ago I figured out that I
could not retire simply by saving money. Inflation was more than the Fed and US Gov were
admitting and I knew that inflation would eat half or more of my savings. Because of that,
I read and studied all I could find on personal finance and how to invest properly. I read
books and magazines on personal finance and eventually started investing. It was slow
going at first and it was odd that making my first $10k via investing took about the same
amount of time as earning the first $100k after that. Anyway, saving is good if it is used
to provide a stake to start investing or is directed towards some life-goal. I decided to
combine saving with investing for a 1-2 punch in improving my financial future. None
of this caused me to rely on others and pay them for their work. Instead, I did the work
and received the benefits as well as some losses. But those losses taught me more
about investing than any gains did. They taught me that no one was riding to the rescue
with flags flying and bugles blaring. I got to eat my own mistakes, which was what
convinced me not to make many of those in the future. Not that I didn't make a mistake
or two along the way but I didn't make a habit of it. Not repeating any of my mistakes
was a huge benefit in terms of building wealth and a successful financial future. From
what I have seen, people generally make 3 basic mistakes with investing: 1) they refuse
to invest at all and miss generating a substantial amount of wealth for themselves; 2)
they do invest but not with any real conviction and end up simply throwing money
at whatever investment strikes their fancy at the moment; or 3) they have unrealistic
ideas about what investing can do for them and how quickly it can do it. I see some
of #3 in a lot of disappointed PM owners who seem to have expected a lot from PMs
and they wanted it to happen quickly. PMs are not a get rich quick scheme. They are
long-term assets that work well over time but not so well in the very short-term. As is
often the case, it is those unrealistic expectations that color their attitudes towards PMs.
