Very nice video with great camera and editing work! Do you know any websites where one can find small single villas for $337 ?? I've seen many but never at this price!
How did you manage to get ok Bali homestay for $150 a month? I am quoted £240 on website.
Jesus Christ the way to heaven to your Father in Heaven God
It’s truly amazing how far $1 goes in Bali. It makes me really second guess what im doing here in the US.
It is crazy isn't it!?
You think so maybe is good for you ,but in reality is no place like home I love USA 🇺🇸 and it’s nice when you make all that wonderful money and live the American dream and can afford to be able to travel and see others countries, I think if you can work in Bali and have a job and get pay like the locals with their local pay rate minimum wage good for you, let not confuse how much money we make in USA and how much abundance we have , at this moment my family and I are in Australia and still thinking is no place like home 💕
@@SiempreFlor sorry but even though we make more money american supplies are still wayyyyyyy over priced by a lot, bali makes less money but there stuff isnt as over priced for them compared to america also the view is also soooo much better then america sorry but truth hurts
@@trilliee5993 then if youre living in America maybe you should leave???
@@SiempreFlor if you are skilled and lucky as an expat you can make more money here and live better. Your home is provided so you don't pay rent, you can actually save your money and have a nanny and maid. But most importantly, have an adventure.
I love Indonesia. A beautiful country with a very humble people. 👍
We really love it there as well!
and the kids sorry teens from jakarta that smoke and play mobile all the time.i was one of em
@@kopikapceban4167 You can only find 1% humble people in gaming community, the rest are dbags and fake.
@@silentwaterfall1552 yeah
my dad iphone 10 got lost and a local got it and bring it to his house. the next day the local came to the house and try to sell the iphone my dad had and that what you call humble and lived in bali in bali for 5 years and now i am moving ok
Even the more expensive options are cheap compared to America! I am very excited to start traveling! I feel like I spend $100 just to breathe the air everyday.
I know! You will really love it there!
You can actually start building, say a pension saving amount to around US$ 200-300 thousand, then retire in Indonesia (preferably in the more western friendly regions with great scenery such as Bali, North Sulawesi, central & east Java, Yogyakarta, Bangka Belitung, etc) & enjoy life without much fuss.
look out Jenny and Brett, spurs is hot on getting your money out of the USA and into Indonesia haha.
By the way, $70 000 lasted me about 18months, so not sure how long one would hope to live in retirement.
+steve vo $70.000 lasted about 18 months..?? where do you live dude..?? thats a very expensive living..
But if u working in bali, u will hard to pay all that stuff mentioned. The minimum salary standard from goverment was low..
Damn. This video is really making me want to travel to Bali. Good stuff, Jimmy and Tah!
Irvin ! We literally thinking about going back there again nest year !:D
I've been reading your posts for a few months and what really impresses me is how much the quality has improved over time. That's not only on an audio-visual level but the presentation as well. Tai you seemed a little camera shy on the early videos. But now you are brimming with confidence and full of energy. Jimmy you do a great job too. I'm a frugal person and admire those who spend their money wisely not on stupid stuff. Dude you have even me beat in the cheap skate dept. But more power to you if it helps you keep on traveling.
You both are sincere, obviously love traveling the world and are always improving the quality of your content which makes you one of my YT favorites. Keep up the good work!
hahahaha Thank you so much! We have to be cheap to continue this!
When we go looking for restaurants, the fastest way to search for the price ranges is in terms of the "Nasi Goreng Index", NGI in short. The only thing you have to do, is to look at their NGI. If the nasi goreng is above 25K, the rest of the menu will probably be expensive as well. :)
Such good information! Thank you so much! I noticed we did this as well!
lol
If I remember correctly, nasi goreng is rice right?
Fried rice +egg +small chicken meat+spicy=nasi goreng
@@xyzabc5879 yeah, used to love that. it's definitely a classic, that's for sure.
I just left BALI.. This video is completely accurate. However I think in the rice terrace near Ubud they were asking for donations... Maybe like 10 to 50 cents USD. Which is still crazy cheap
Ahh again this was from one year ago so not sure if that has changed
I just came back from Bali n I went to see rice terrace just from behind coffee shop , I didn’t had changed to go to large rice terrace coz it was raining ☔️ but still nice to see .
Incredible drone footage! You guys are great.

Aww you should go! Its so beautiful there!
THANK YOU for showing all the prices - that's your point of difference. And what a stunning shot of Tah, walking up the rice terrace, nicely done.

Aww Thank you so much Robert! your feedback means a lot to us we are glad you like it !:)
Great video. Love the drone footage as well as your eye for a stunning composition.
Definitely the main thing I struggled with while being on Bali for over a month was not being able to cook. Eating out all the time just became a drain when all you want do i relax in the comforts of your own home, maybe with some friends, round a table and enjoy your own food. Eventually I found a place that had an outdoor kitchen and started cooking all the dishes I loved having at home. Theres only so much nasi goreng a man can eat lol. It was a delight to my own carbonara again. Thanks for the video. :)
hahah we always get a kitchen because of this! Cheaper and easier!
Fantastic photography and editing and really helpful and interesting advice

Pretty accurate. Accommodations vary on peak or off seasons. But long stay are reallt affordable. I used to live there with $600-$700 and live quite comfortable life by Indonesian standard.

Those american dollars also better be pristine. A little tear or mark will render it useless.

Bali can be pretty bad when on a budget, however when spending the $$$$$s, it's amazing.

Thank you so much for support Jan ! We bet you will love Bali don't forgot to stop by some Padang restaurant !:D
My first visit abroad was to Bali to attend a veterinary conference in 1988. I was very cautious and apprehensive as during that time sex tourism was quite obvious in all over South East Asia, everyone wanted to copy Thailand style to attract tourism. I agree with you that Bali may be cheapest of all touristy cities as even in 1988, it was quite affordable. Bali is among the most beautiful places in the world.
Its really a magical place!
So did you sneak one in, or did you get caught out?
Just kidding lol.
typical..you see a Bali video, you see a thai girl in bikini..and you think SEX..
FFS!?!??!
You came for a VET (= animals) conference in 1988, and what do you think ? SEXtourism.!
You filthy dirty old man from india! pervert!
Did you manage to avoid those sexy young ladies ,lying and calling you a hansom man ,and wanting your body ,to drain you dry ?
All you're saying is true, i live in Bali since 1995 have a house near sunset road Seminya. And 2006 i move to Jakarta until now bcs my husband work in Jakarta. We are still back and fort between Bali and Jakarta, and i could see how much different the price are. All their fruits n veggies are a lot cheaper and fresh then in Jakarta. I love going to local market, buy fruits, veggies n meet and cook at home. We only eat out once a while. You could be ended up spend lots of Rupiah's if you want. So depending on of whats life style you wanna to be while you live in Bali.
Yea! We really love it there! Such a beautiful island
Hello! Would you be my tour guide 🙏🏽🙏🏽
This was sooo helpful! Thank you
This video alone was worth a like and subscribe. Thanks a MILLION.
I'm in Bali now and feel these prices are a bit off. I haven't seen any room for less than $200 per month and also that's pretty lucky. Most people pay at least $350.

Awesome, you guys did very good in this video!
That'st rue, you can stay cheap or expensive, its all your styles
Yes! We really try to show both sides
I have been traveling extensively in SoutheastAsia since 2004 , just came back from a 30 day trip in Phuket , must tell you guys , if you are gonna try to save money on food & drinks , prepare yourselves for some nasty diarrhea which can occur multiple times during your visit and will ruin your trip .. The best thing to do ? Completely avoid eating any kind of meat , unless you are in a restaurant in one of those resorts , avoid drinks with ice in them even at those nice resorts , and avoid any fruit that has already been cut .. If you are gonna stay there for 30 days or more , the best thing to do is to rent a place with a kitchen and cook your own food , or eat at the same restaurant that you think is clean ...
Ahh i think you are very wrong. We eat cheap local food everyday in every country we visit. Of course you have to watch out how clean the place is and how they prepare the food but you will be fine. Also i agree with you about the 30 day thing with a kitchen. Thats why we do that. Because its cheaper. Thanks for watching though! have a great day!
Divert Living yeah that person is not insightful. Basically everything he said should be applied to any country. Hell, I lived in north Europe (western nations) 2 months and there were still places you wouldn’t want to eat at.. just use common sense
So you're saying Bali not hygiene? 😂
Wow this is great, thanks for such a great quality and informative video!
Of course! Thank you so much for watching!
Love the video. 2 thumbs up. Seems like its time for a baecation
Love Bali i go about every 10 weeks you can get a room from 5$ a day to 500$
Yea its so amazing there! They have something for everyone!
Actually bill its not $500, you can find luxury villas that cost up to $3000 per night lol
If you can blend with the locals, you can save a lots of money. I mean a lots.
We 100% agree! Thats why we love staying long term
Until they ripp you off haha
Just get a good friend who is local. My buddy in Guyana would always negotiate the price for both of us while I was around the corner or across the street... I’d show up and the other locals would laugh while the person selling me whatever at the local price would hang his head.... sometimes I still tipped afterwards without my buddy seeing as he would leave first to the next thing.... looking like you are frugal and getting the same deal the locals get is one thing, but never work too hard for it; to the locals we are rich, you don’t want to look like you are trying to get over on them....
I'll go there and spend $200 USD total per month and tell them you asked me to do it HAHA u mad bro?
What y'all arguing about? I said blend with the locals, not become one of them. I'm a Balinese, I can make sure it's works because I saw many tourist doing that. You can still enjoying your stay
with low cost.

Costs per night are not the cost of living, that's the cost of vacationing. Cost of living involves a long term rental.

@@christinebodhitreeexotics356 Chicago is the murder-capital nr. 1.
Why do youlive in that shithole?
Great video and great value, thanks for that! But, to enter the rice terraces and the gate isn't free anymore. Like almost everywhere in Bali you have to pay certain fees. It isn't much, but ranges between 10k and 50k, depending on how touristy the place is. And those two are really touristy. The entrance fee of 10-20k for most waterfalls is true, BUT if you want to swim and cliff jump at some of the waterfalls, you need a local guide which starts at around 125k per person. If you don't hire a local guide and get caught jumping or swimming, you'll pay a penalty of 250k. We've seen it happen. And the guides even call the police if you think you can trick yourself out of it.
Wow thats crazy! I guess a lot has change!
@@DivertLiving yeah, not what it used to be anymore :-/
local people say some tourists died because of jumping and drowning in waterfalls, guides were enforced for security
Corruption, police kick backs.
Guides can be annoying, some bug your aura and steal your light and always trying to upsell or get something from you.
Red, They'd say anything to warrant taking your money and creating cushy jobs.
Fair enough to a degree.
