Also, yes, watching the Live at Download 2009 version is an absolute MUST. So much better than the studio version. And the pit is probably one of the best places to be...a wonderful phenomenon happens at most metal concerts that everyone looks out for everyone else in the pit. I've seen plenty of times someone have a medical emergency in the middle of the pit and everyone literally crowd-surfs them to safety without question. Or if someone tries to fuck with you, you'll almost instantly have a group of strangers surround you to keep you safe. Everyone is so scared of metalheads, but they're some of the nicest, most genuine and caring people you'll ever meet! 😊❤

Also the entire thing is about the Kubrik version of The Shining (you literally quoted the correct movie lol.) And the song is about meeting people that you know hate you, work against you, and won't say it to your face. And if you ever look into Stanley Kubrik and some of the "conspiracies" surrounding his death, and The Shining, AND Eyes Wide Shut, this song goes to another level.
Kubrik called out bad people in Hollywood. Twice. In two major films. And nobody "said it to his face" that they hated him. And eventually he died under somewhat odd circumstances.
