  • Here is my Tamiya forklift kit. It comes as a wired-remote kit, I switched it over to full remote using a Spektrum DX6e.
Driving is a little rough, I don't have the expos set properly yet, so the skid-steer is a little wonky.
It uses three 10A ESCs I got off of Amazon, a small 4-ch DSMX receive, a Hey'OK blinker, a CC 10A BEC and Common Sense LEDs.
The Cab, running boards, light hangers, and wire clips are all designed on Fusion 360 and printed on a Creality CR10 with Hatchbox filament.

How do you like this forklift?

It works ok, as long as there is a perfectly clean surface to run it on. If the surface has any dust or debris, the tires simply don't grip well. On a rig like this, untilizing skid-steer, it makes control problematic at best. It REALLY needs better tires that are not so hard and that provide better grip. This is one of my projects I plan on revisiting in the near future.

@DargoDog I just got one for Christmas and I'm thinking as I build it I'll fix/make better what I can.

@@wolfpackrc It really isn't a bad platform to build from, especially given the price.
