Word, ebay has some stand alone cages pop up now and then, I just got another gatekeeper cage from Amain Hobbies, $48 minus the panels and interior. These make for fun durable rigs, thanks for watching. I anticipate the Gatekeepers might not be around much longer. With this long of a sale on them the next logical step is to discontinue them. 👊

Your insight into what it takes to build these buggies is greatly appreciated! I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted to do a Shreddy build something like the Meg. Ultimately I just want something with some paddles made for sending. Your content always helps make those ideas seem closer to reality. Thanks!
Dope work man. I can’t wait to see those guys ripping. It’s amazing what you can do with these plastic cages and a little imagination. I have one a guy built with a grom cage and two element ifs kits. It’s awesome.

I’m doing this to my DR10 this weekend. Bought it with no intention of actually doing the no prep drag thing, but more just as a project base. I’ve been trying to decide what to do with it, and boom. Here we are.

You know I never really looked at slashes but I would start looking at other traxxas buggys for a bumper that I could kit bash. These bumpers come on the DB10 but are in the SC10 parts bag, get creative and see of you can source a traxxas bumper that you can modify or kit bash!
Pretty sure you could make it work. I'm not familiar with the Slash but they are similar. Just be creative and don't be afraid to chop the crap out of your cage lol. Good luck
I believe so, same basic chassis, I don't know how well it will handle off road terrain compared to these because there not made for off road. But it should work just the same 🤙😎
@@DoubleClutchProductions yeah I was gonna do just a sand buggy build only, no off-road use, since I have a gatekeeper cage and extra DR10.. figured I’d cover up the spur/pinion area, throw some F/R sand tires and see how it does..

Looking at trying this on my rustler was wondering what front bumper are you using ?
It comes with the prosc10, it's the stock trophy rat bumper, the prosc10 used to include it with the rtr.
Can I do this with a high center of gravity slash or would I need to convert it to a lcg

Just cutting and zip ties to attach it.

Whatever you need too. If you rewatch I point out what I cut on the gatekeeper but it's the same concept.
