They changed the drop-in to react mainly because they don’t produce lunarlon anymore. React is probably a very similar foam just re-named for a few upgrades, but they can’t put the lunarlon name on it because that’s technically a dead product

lunar lon was stopped being used in performance because it wore out quickly it’s still used on other shoes to this day but just not on top performance models

Kinda sad there’s only 47k coming out, Kobe 8’s are probably my fav Kobe model, both for looks and comfortability.
They were state of the art 10 years ago, and still (IMHO) the best low cut Kobes out there. But the truth is if you want the best version of this type of shoe now, look at the Way of Wade line and particularly at the 808 2 or 808 3. My birthday is in a few days, and I'm not getting these Kobes, I'm getting the 808 3.

As a diehard Kobe fan as a player and of his shoes I love that they’re re-releasing but these just really aren’t it - triple white will get dirty so fast even if worn just to play on the cleanest of indoor courts as I do with a lot of mine…would rather have the reverse grinches later this year over these more tribute collectors item but still think they’re clean…the limited number also makes it less desirable imo as backward as that may sound…great video!!

Kind of depends because if u go up half it’ll probably fit better but u might have a little bit of slippage if you have two slightly different sized feet. I would go tts to be safe

The point of this colorway isn’t to hold it as some sort of display. It’s to honor Kobe and ppl can do that through hard work, the stains and scuffs will show that. Work always shows when it matters

Yeah, it's your money and you can do what you want but somewhere there's a kid dreaming of playing in that shoe "like Kobe would want" and he'll never get the chance just because you have money to burn. Nike sucks for making these limited. I'm sick of them just as much as I'm sick of resellers. Buy the shoes, uses the shoes and then move on to the next pair.
