Wheel horse is Phenomenal mine has the beefy 8 speed uni drive with 1.125 axle shafts with welded Differential . its a 1984 wheel horse 4-14-8 .droped a 670cc predator in it. Always making improvements little by little
Yes wish we had wheel horses out here but we NEVER get any forsale :(
Moved from Alberta to Australia about a month ago, wanting to have cheap unique fun offroad at a leisurely pace. Didn't think I'd get hoofed in the nuts so hard with the homesickness like listening to a Berta boy talk about offroading in the mountains while sitting outside in winter wearing plaid and a Guinness toque.
Hey thanks for this channel,you just gave a 69 year old gear head a new hobby. Iv been playing around with a rokon for the past 6 years rebuildt the gear boxes once cause o where and tear.i can get in and out o tight spots pretty often,but these rock mowers look like a nouther level o fun😂 happy trails

Just barely have been getting into these beautiful machines. I was lucky enough to get my hands on multiple different garden tractors already and I think I'm going to make the 8-speed wheel horse my off road machine! indestructible machines.

Swap one on. So glad I found this channel because I wanted to make an off road rig with mine and now I have a pretty much full built model to follow 😂
I love it! Nothing more true than just picking one up take it out it breaks you take it back home fix it beef it, and repeat and then you have a solid unit eventually lol 😂

For my first mower I built a 20 horse craftsman gt with a 633a that goes 30 mph but I felt like I wanted to start crawling after I came across your channel and recently bought a 25hp gt5000 again with a 633a i don't really like the bodies but it's the least concerning bit it

Im starting over after my old craftsman lt broke the front end what is the best belt setup it had a bottom shaft engine to a side shaft diff worked great but Is there something else that's a good choice

The best mowers to use for a mud mower offroad romping Tractor build HANDS DOWN is the 2001 to 2005 Electrolux (ayp) manufactured Floor Pan tractors (Craftsman LT1000, LT2000, DLT2000, DLT3000, DYT4000, Poulan Pro/Poulan LT, Ryobi LT & Husqvarna LT YT) and 2006 to 2017 Husqvarna manufactured Floor Pan tractors (Craftsman LT1000, LT2000, LT3000, Poulan LT & Ariens LT).. (The 2nd gen floor pan frame/7th gen frame Lawn Tractors/Yard Tractors) Those tractors are the best to use & The BEST Engines to use in those tractors is the Briggs Intek/IC 40ci & 44ci V-Twin Engine and for trans the Peerless 820-016 trans!!!

What would it take to get a gravely 1238 off-road ready?
If I were the build one I would do an old wheel horse or an old craftsman with the eight cast-iron gearbox preferably rather than aluminum one

I just got a John Deere 214 garden tractor with a Peerless 2300. You mentioned you run a 2300. Also, what size pulley do you run on the engine and transmission?

What size is Musty's rear tires you said 25 for the height and 12x4 for the wheel but what's the width of the tire? 25x?? - 12. Love the vids, been watching for years.
They are 25x8r12
But I squeeze them onto trailer rims that are 4” wide to narrow the tires!
Works well
With the trailer tires you don’t get much for offset Like factory 12” tractor rims
So I run a 2” -5x4.5” wheel spacer
