The unpainted back is perhaps the most egregious cost-saving measure from McFarlane. Please stop!

Superman with the mask and armour, makes him look like an alternate universe Cyborg Superman.

A sssneaky, sssneaky, sssnake😂. Was unsure about this wave but they look great from your review. And I’ve seen some comments mentioning how these are reminiscent of the action figures we’d get as kids where the hero would have all those necessary gadgets and armor, but this time there’s a story to it!

So, they did one with Superman, one with Aquaman, one with several characters that included Atom (Ryan Choi)...They can keep making them. As it is, keep going with one Wave for Wonder Woman, another for Green Lantern (Hal), Flash... And then, whatever they want.

The one that included the atom was the flash wave

The Supes in this wave is Henry Cavil's wet dream.... a Warhammer/Superman Crossover

These are as good as last year's Batman page punchers line

Awesome review I have already picked up # 3 and 4 of the set (both are Platinum editions) Plan on picking up the other two soon. Love the page puncher sets!!

This is a case for where yeah I get these looks come from a comic created to show off these looks. I just very much dislike the Supermen looks. Especially for Val Zod's first figure. Val Zod covered in these weird belts is just this specific comic only. They aren't lazy with the sculpting(paint is another story) but it's like trying intentionally to make something I won't like.
Zod - I'm fineish with this. Looks good, but I personally would like another proper zod with the tiny hands. When it comes to monsters, Mcfarlane Toys knows how to do it.
Brainiac - Also a situation where i'd like a proper Brainiac. Good looking drone. The premium is creepy as heck in hand.
Wave wise I don't get a sense of a good Superman wave. More like Mcfarlane put an S on some other brand and said it was Superman. In contrast to Flash and Aquaman's PP waves. Like Mcfarlane said Superman wasn't good enough.
But that's me. It's not a lazy looking wave, just looks that don't appeal to me.

I think the Val Zod extra armor is slightly different.

Didn't think I would like these as much as I do. Was lucky enough to find platinums for val-zod and brainiac at retail.

Val needs a dark blue wash to bring out more of the details.

Also Val Zod was not armored in the new 52. Great vid as always!

The platinum Val Zod is definitely the way to go. At retail, he costs the same amount as the standard. Plus, Clark and him could go full Road Warriors on Braniac.

Thanks for this review. The only one I like is the Earth 2 Superman. Because the cloth cape is cool, and some of my Black friends would of loved it, as a kid. I'm glad they made it for them. Thumbs up as always!

So many DC characters and MCF gives us these? I'd only get them if they're given to me for free. I won't spend anything for these.

Honestly, this is my least favorite wave McFarlane has ever produced, Page Punchers or otherwise. I just hate the armored look.
