As a British Muslim, Dental Surgeon. This is a criminal and legal matter. The young men resisted arrest and assaulted the police repeatedly. They should receive heavy sentences for their unacceptable behaviour. This should not be made into a communal or religious matter. The policeman was also in the wrong for kicking the teenager in the face and stamping on his head and should also be punished as such use of brutal force can lead to serious injuries if not death..looking forward to the conclusion of the investigation. The police need to learn grappling techniques where they can disarm and disable aggressive people without the need to kicking them in the head and causing potentially serious injuries.

As a retired police officer with 30 years on the front line well said, I entirely agree with you.
Unfortunately the officer will be thrown under the bus no matter what. The politicians are scared to death of these communities as are senior cops.
I worked in Bradford for a number of years and even back in the 80's and 90's groups of a certain demographic would use large numbers to try and intimidate you. Even attending an RTC in a certain areas would see loads of them turning up to try and intimidate other drivers to defend one of their own, regardless of fault . They were a pain .
I once drove my traffic car into a car park and was purposely followed and blocked in by several car loads of them. They stick together and have been emboldened by years of appeasement. I remember several occasions when being briefed for certain events we were told to do our best to not make arrests if at all possible.
Bosses would readily sacrifice officers for the sake of community tensions, so mob rule seems to work for some and I fear it will in this case.

Essentially, police are not above the law, but are subject to it. So the enquiry will centre on whether excessive force was used. You all welcomed these people from this community and they have taken undue advantage of your hospitality and now when they worked hard thru the night to increase their population, they now want to establish Shariya law. You all are so rattled by these incidents. Imagine what we have been going thru all these past years in our State of Jammu and Kashmir. Today also it is happening and our brave army is taking it very seriously. Pakistan is the main culprit for creating all these trouble and chaos any where in the world. Why did Hamas attack the Israelis ? Israelis responded and reacted accordingly. If anyone attacks my home or your home and threaten the safety of your people, what are your going to do ? You are going to react and defend. This community is very dangerous and threatens the safety of everyone. UK and all the European countries MUST stop this community. As you said, the migration is planned, and I do agree with you. What do you think the Imams give sermons about in their Masjid on Fridays ? This is what they do. You are not out of line. Tim, as an ex AFO if someone tried to take my weapon they would be lucky if their testicles were in the same place as when they started. You are literally fighting for your life and the lives of others. It infuriates me that the focus is on the offenders’ injuries and how they are recovering. Nothing about how the officers’ are doing. Nothing about what the offenders were doing to draw the attention of the police. I think this could be a watershed moment for the country. Unfortunately I also think it will lead to yet another weakening of law enforcement.

Because of 2 tier BS my niece has NO eye. Hopefully the 'officer' can buy her a new one for her 27th birthday. Tim , ex Royal Navy here , the police need to use force sometimes overwhelming force to stop others , having been involved in the Malta riots in the mid seventies helping the Maltese police in relation to the Mintoff riots , no one can comment unless they have been confronted with direct violence against you , fortunately even though I had an SLR I did not have ammunition, typical British rules of engagement, radio the ship if your need it 😳 I can assure you at certain points when we had people charging at us with swords , pickaxe handles etc if my weapon was loaded I was so scared I’d have opened fire , that guy was lucky that he just got kicked in the face , and stamped on.

As a women I don't think women should be in the frontline on the streets as police officers. Women are better with details and would be better at cyber crime and CCTV footage etc.
