I took mine a mile down the road across a 6 lane hwy.
Thank you for the video. This technique works. My first skunk in a trap and when I get close to it, it raised it hind legs. After watch this video I use the blue tarp instead of the towel and able to transport it in my van and released it to the wild without that funky smell.
Excellent! Skunks aren't too big of a deal as long as your patience. Be aware next time that if it is windy out, the flapping tarp can put them on edge, but it'll still work just fine. 🙌

Dealing with one now for 2 weeks, its made a den under my lean to by my shop door and I have tried everything to evict it. They are very hard headed and stubborn creatures that won't take a hint. Last resort now gonna have to dispatch it.
A better option, if possible, is ditching the traps altogether. Instead, fence off the perimeter of the lean to, install a one way door, and after the skunk has left remove the one way door and seal things up..
They make one doors for skunk/raccoon size wildlife for just this problem.
Like your style. Hopefully your advice will help me eliminate the nasty little critters before they spray either the neighbors or my own dog, again!!!😮

You can pick up commercial skunk lures right online. Usually they are sweet smelling or a liquid grub lure works well.

The Grub Lure is highly skunk specific and makes an incredible trailing scent to lure skunks into your trap. Hope this helps.

I don’t know what to do I got 7 baby’s and a momma under my shed rate next to my house
Once the babies are mobile you could seal off the shed and install a one way door so they can leave the shed but not get back inside. They'll move along soon enough
