Bonjour folks (I am in France currently, watching Little'un swim around in the sunshine!)... Hope you enjoy the new video!!
Have you been to Jollibees before? If so, let me know what you thought about it!
You should easily hit 10,000 plus subscribers soon - mon ami
Not been here I use Greggs more than anywhere.
10 k, so soon, bet before you go home ❤ We only have boring fast food chains in Germany 😢 I think its BK, Mcd and KFC only ... we have Mangal Döner all over Cologne 😂😂😂
💕😀xx happy hols Greeno. And to littl ‘un too. X
I am a Brit living in the Philippines, and we had Jollibee yesterday for our dog Lulu's 12th birthday. Her favorite words are "Chicken Joy". Filipino's love sweet sauces, which I am not keen on. Good quality food, glad you enjoyed most of it and would go again.
Yeah, I want to try some more of the menu items - really interesting! Happy Brthday to Lulu !!
the gravy is actually meant for the fried chicken that's why its a little bit runny. 😅😁
Right, gotcha (gravy is good on mostly everything though 🤣)
still.. it shouldn't be runny. that's not how the original Jollibee gravy is like.
Jollibee! I grew up in Hong Kong and remember them well from there and from visits to the Philippines on holiday. As a child having spaghetti with chopped hotdog sausages in a sweet tomato sauce with a piece of fried chicken on the side (one of their classics in the Philippines) was the height of exotic eating, simply because it was such a weird combination.
They have the spaghetti on the menus here too!
The Jollibee in Hong Kong is still outstanding. It's light years ahead of KFC.
Congrats on 10k Greeno! Imagine being staff at that place and hear 'ding dong' for 8 to 12 hours, bet they go home and sit in absolute silence 😂
Hang on, my screen shows I haven't even hit 9.5k subs yet - can you see something I can't ? That ding dong must be maddening if you work there mustn't it !
@@GreenoEats Ahhhh my mistake! Sorry I mistook another comment to mean you'd hit it already. Most definitely, must be maddening
10k soon Greeno .....
Fingers crossed!
DING DONG - 10K Subs for Greeno!! 👊 Top video as always Sir, the food looked ok to me! All the best ….Smithy
Is that a Terry Thomas "Ding Dong" or just the tannoy Smithy ;-) ha ha. Hold your horses too, I've not hit 9.5k yet, let alone 10k!!
@@GreenoEats it’s on its way!!
It's saying that you've hit 10K @GreenoEats
@@Goonerette75 I have now 🙂
That chicken looks good. Love the look of the gravy aswell. I think the noise just goes with the vibe of Leicester Square. All part of the London experience! Great video as always. Pineapple juice looked nice and refreshing.❤
Pineapple juice made a really nice change from the usual Coke, Sprite etc. And yeah, as a Dorset boy, everything in London is loud ha ha!
Jolliebee branches in the Philippines already figured out fixing the noisy order status thing by introducing a cookie-like device that they give to you after you order, it buzzes and lights go blinking when your order is ready to be picked at the counter. Nice review!
That would be a much more agreeable system!
I think that's great value for the middle of London, will definitely try it, thanks Greeno.. nearly 10k 🎉❤
Yeah as fast food goes this was decent, and for central London inexpensive. Just take some earplugs!
I'm new to your channel Greeno but what a delight to watch you are! Brilliantly presented. Loved every minute of it.
I'm currently ploughing through your other videos. Greetings from London 🤓🇬🇧
That's very kind of you to say, much appreciated! I hope you'll enjoy the upcoming videos (and some of the back catalogue too!)
@@GreenoEats 😁😁
Saw one of these in Liverpool when I was up there but never went in - went into the one in Cardiff absolutely loved it - it’s a smaller branch so no annoying call outs. But London is my nearest so the next time I’m up there I will go in
Worth a visit if you can endure the endless "ding dong" !
Been willing you to get to the 10k for ages! Congratulations! 🍾
Yes, just got there... Will celebrate with a nice glass of wine 🍷 And then onto the next milestone!!
Just subscribed. Good video as always Greeno 👍👍👍
Welcome aboard, glad you enjoyed the video!
Ambience aside Greeno, that meal looked pretty good for fast-food!
Another great review and love from 🇨🇦
Thanks, appreciate it!
Great video, 10k soon Greeno!
Cheers Gary. Fingers crossed the 10k comes soon. I'm coming for ya 🤣🤣😉
Greeno, you could have eaten somewhere quieter in Leicester Square like the I max cinema during an action film maybe😂
Ha ha - it was like peak Heathrow Airport in there!
Nice vid! Come to the Philippines sometime! :) I really hope they open a Mang Inasal back in the Uk, it could be the next main thing on evenings out. It’s a huge fast food chain here in the Philippines like Jollibee, but all based on “inasal” which is Filipino aromatic roasted chicken, as well as ihaw-ihaw which is sweet and savoury marinated pork bbq on bamboo skewers, with unlimited rice (attendants literally go around the restaurant with big vats of freshly cooked rice and you just ask them to top you up) for less than probably 5 pounds. Sisig (crispy fatty diced pork on a sizzling plate- typically a drinking food). Empanadas which are like exotic pasties, palabok (which is like a Filipino noodle version of spagbol) plus halo-halo (the Filipino multicoloured sundae crushed ice mixed type dessert with tropical fruits and purple ube ice cream). There needs to be a petition to open a Mang Inasal in the UK. I can see everyone loving it back there
Wow, the Mang Inasal menu sounds amazing! Let's start a petition to get it over here 🙂
Mang has the best chicken ever but it is cooked with no crumb. It's a great meal.
Wow nearly 10K subs. Fantastic, im pleased your doing so well. I wish there was a jollibee around my neck of the woods, ive heard good things about them. That meal blew a certain chain out of the water in my opinion. Everything looked delicious, especially that sausage in a roll. The chicken burger looked so much better than said chain, as i had one bought for me today and wasnt impressed with the flat soggy offering.A brilliant review, as usual..
Oh yes, it felt a cleaner eat than the usual offering from the Colonel!
!DING DONG! Thanks for the video Greeno.
Is that a Terry Thomas style "Ding Dong" or just the tannoy ;-) ha ha
@@GreenoEats its a mad, mad, mad, mad noise either way!
With that se ding dong thought you were sitting in an airport
Also congratulations on your hopefully 10k on your channel you deserve it.
I'm proud to have found your channel and been a new subscriber.
ANN IN CUMBRIA.XX. 😊😊😊.
Thanks Ann, already reached the 10k subscriber count now, and aiming higher now!!
This video made me HUNGRY. (3 AM rn, lmao)
Thanks for trying out Jollibee! And The gravy does indeed go well with almost anything! xD
Glad you enjoyed it.
Great vlog, got me hungry. 😋
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am currently living in the Philippines and macdo is a big rival. Jollibee does burgers too. I would say much better than it's rival. The spaghetti is famous.
I will have to try the spaghetti next time!
Gravy with everything is becoming a pain. Yuk. Earlier Gary wrote off the hot dog. A pretty good deal here Greeno.
At least the gravy is served separately, so if you don’t want it you don’t have to have it (although this gravy was delicious) - I saw Gary’s video, he was not a fan of the hot dog at all was he 😂
"It is a long way to Tipperary" song mentions Leister square. Looks like 3 of 5 if not better and looks like that you enjoyed.
It does indeed feature in that song! Was pretty good for fast food.
@@GreenoEats Yes I agree and thank you. I try to give musical reference when I can remember.
⭐️ Simple Aioli sauce. We’re proud of Jollibee 🇵🇭 and glad you liked it. 😊
The spaghetti is something else to try- you either hate it or love it. They probably have a YUMM burger (their top of the line burger).
I certainly did enjoy it, apart from the constant “ding dong” over the tannoy 😂
Next time I will definitely try the spaghetti!
I'm glad they are having such success. I'd think twice if it was deserted.
Yeah, it was really busy - fair play to them !
My wife is from The Philippines, and when the first Jollibee opened in Earls Court she was so excited she kept pestering me to take her there. We live closer to Cambridge than London, but I relented and we went. What a shock when we got there. There was a queue about 2 blocks long. I said no way was I going to wait for hours to get a piece of chicken. We ended up at Nandos.
Maybe the queue will have died down a bit by now 🙂 Go on, give it another go!
it's a joke KFC rip-off, i went to Manila PH and tried it and *NOT RECOMMEND*
You're better off with chooks to go.
In the Philippines, you get given a number on a plastic thingy and the Jollibee staff bring your food to you. You don’t have to go collect it. However, it’s just as busy if not more so. Queues are long. The food is always sweet tasting, Filipinos love their sugar. A tip is to order your drink without ice, it is chilled anyways so why only get 1/3 of liquid when the cup is full of ice when you can get all liquid by just requesting no ice when you order. How I know this? I retired to the Philippines…..
Ah so you are the Jollibee expert then huh :-)
@@GreenoEats hardly an expert. But you get to know the ropes 😁
You hit 10k, good on you Greeno!
Yes indeed! On to the next target now 🙂
HI Greeno.Congratulations on getting 10k members.
Well never heard of Jollibee looking at what you had seemed Ok as you say it is something different to what the others do and if you are from the Philippines it is food from home.again thank you for sharing and looking forward to your next place you go to.
Not quite hit the 10k yet, but fingers crossed it’s just round the corner!
Not quite hit the 10k yet, but hopefully it is just around the corner!
I’ll definitely try this one if I’m in the area and want a quick bite. I like the sound of the pineapple juice!
The pineapple juice was a nice change from my usual Coke Zero 🙂
Chees on a hot dog no onions ketchup and mustard great review keep up the good work
It was a bit unusual, but tasty!
I saw you 1st time on Gary Eats and subscribed to your channel.
Glad you enjoyed the collab with Gary, and come to find my channel!
Im another brit living in the philippines .. I would say Jolliebee when I first came to the country was for me personally the best as when my wife got me from Manila my first meal was a Tuna pie and chicken joy.. after 19 hours flight... It has decreased in Quality over the years personally for me.. but I still love to get it once in a while .. as far as the pricing a lot cheaper in the Philippines then in UK i feel paying 16 quid bit of a rip off.. Its usually quite busy in the resturants here but its generally the time of day... I know a lot of visitors will be Filipino as they are possibly over seas workers and there proud of the country and thay have every right to be ... good video
That’s interesting, thanks for the insight 🙂
New to the channel - food looks good! Sounds like there was about 800 people in the restaurant with you though so fair play for sticking with it 😂
It was like trying to eat in the middle of Heathrow Airport!
Wishing you all the very best. I hope the accommodation costs here in Londonium are not breaking your bank. The Swifty fans have raised hotel prices by 300% at least. Normal prices will be resumed from Wednesday. The Empire at Leicester Square was where I tried the Travolta dance in 1980s. We only live once.
Hotel prices in London have been crazy since about March !
@@GreenoEats Please come back
Thnx heaps for sharing! Loving the traffic lights scoring. .... 😀
Appreciate that Derek!
That delicious gravy is used to dip One’s piece of chicken joy into
I’ll dip anything into gravy 😂
I’m glad you tried Jollibee,it’s one of the places I will get a spicy chicken sandwich from,I don’t think their fries are all that special,so I get the mashed potato, with the gravy, here in the States gravy only comes with the mash.Individual pieces of chicken are dark meat only here,to get breast meat you need the sandwich.Pineapple drink is okay, bit sweet, and the peach/mango is good though again sweet.I don’t eat hot dogs so don’t know if we have them, or not.I was disappointed you didn’t have their spaghetti as it’s a famous Filipino thing,I have never tried it because it’s sweet, not my thing. Now you must try my other go to chicken sandwich choices,Popeyes,Chick-fil-A,and lastly Wendy’s,all spicy chicken sandwiches, but they have mild too.Enjoy France!😊
I've been told by lots of people that I should have had the spaghetti, and a rice dish - gives me an excuse to go back right!
It's fast food junk, but it looked better than average. I think the score was fair ... It is what it is ... Good video.
At least it was slightly different fast food junk, and less greasy than what you'd get in your average chicken place.
It's only 'junk' food if it was cooked with poor / processed ingredients and cooked in the wrong type of oil (trans fat or old oil)
Fried chicken or burgers can be just as 'healthy' as any other home cooked meal if you source your meat from the right place and cook it right.
@@ThreeFiddy1701 that’s true
Try the spaghetti, palabok and adobo rice if they have that there.
There are certainly more options I can try at a later date!
❤ more Filipino foods and am sure you will get more subs🎉
There's not a lot of Filipino food around in the UK unfortunatly, not that I know of anyway
There are loads of places like this I haven't been to, need to get out more I think
I have a whole list of them I need to get to!
There was a artificial tree in the bar where the buffet was with a tape playing with the sounds of birds. And like jousting tent looks to it ,it was called the josting tent bar .there was another bar called the armoury bar and there was a mout bar that led to the main restaurant. There where 2 flours with guest rooms all up to date with on suite bathrooms. It was very up to date. A lovely place. But they worked us to hard and that is why I left . We worked every day sometimes from 5.30 to 12.30 very long hrs.
Blimey, sounds like a tough job! I seem to remember a bit of a craze for themed restaurants back in the day
Hi Greeno. Got onto your channel via Gary Eats and am enjoying the upbeat, fun reviews. Well done.
Welcome aboard Rob 🙂
Looked decent.
Thanks for another great video.
I went to Slim Chickens when I visited Manchester a couple of weeks ago and it was good. Upmarket KFC really. There seem to be a few chains now doing similar.
Cheers
Phil
I liked Sim Chickens myself - felt less greasy than KFC, and I loved the range of sauces. This place also felt less greasy too - and some nice, slightly different menu options.
Great review greeno thankyou ..very good meal for the price 👌
Glad you enjoyed it Christine!
I remember going to Leicester Square back in the 60s, there was a dance hall there then a big band.. take care
Happy days huh 🙂
Jollibee have two other branch in Earl's Court, London and Reading. Their fried chicken are better than KFC. They have two types Chickenjoy meal deal . One is ordinary and the other is spicy. I had spicy Chickjoy meal deal of two pieces of chicken, sticky rice and gravy with a soft drink. You can have fries or spaghetti as a side with the Chickenjoy.
Yeah, I have to go back and try the spicy chicken and the spaghetti one - maybe not in the crazy noisy Leicester Square branch though!
Hi Greeno, it's KPWHU with my changed user name 😆 I've never heard of that chain. The food looked OK and as you say obviously a great favourite with those from the far east. Hot dog seemed to be a bargain. I see the scoring system is already being modified 😂
Well the scoring system is out of 5 - So I guess any number between 0 and 5 is valid ha ha !! Hope nothing untoward has happened leading to the change in name.
@@GreenoEats Ha ha, no, it was just someone said they thought it was a radio channel.
For fast food it looked solid. That gravy might have passed the drink test. Did you get your meal quickly and would it have been cheaper to just get it takeaway(often places have different prices if you eat in)? Noise level and how busy it was would have been a hard no for me.
I didn't see any price difference, but ordering on the screen meant I had to pick as the first option "eat in or takeaway" - so perhaps there was?
Literally in the middle of London a hot-dog for 3 quid, amazing?! One slightly bigger in O2 with fries was £15 when I went their a few years ago! I didn't buy one, just saw the price! The chicken certainly looked less greasy than KFC. Looks like Reading is the nearest one to me, would make the hotdog expensive, lol!
I guess they will have to look to expand if they think other locations will be as successful - Reading seems to be an odd place to put one though!
All in all that looks really good and I enjoy the fact it is something little different to McDonalds or Burger King, the pie sounds really nice. I like mango a lot ❤ Wish you a great holiday time with all the big and little Greenos in France, enjoy good bakerys and restaurants ❤
We may have partaken in the occasional baguette Jessi ;-) It did make a change from the usual fast food chains, nice to try something different !
Looked alright. Might try it at some point. I had hoped you’d try one of their signatures: the spaghetti. Apparently they’re famous for their sweet tomato sauce.
Yeah a few people have said I should try the spaghetti, it looks like I will have to go back sometime!!
It's actually Banana Ketchup. That's why it's sweet. 😊
Never heard of this company, ever. To be fair though, the food and your description of the flavours seemed to be top notch. I'll try and see if I can find one on my travels. Enjoy Francais and don't let them force you into eating amphibians limbs! Hopefully hit 10,000 very soon Greeno, and it is well deserved. 😉
Keeping clear of the frogs legs and snails!!
In the US where Jollibee has many locations, Jollibee has been chosen by quite a number of food reviewers as the best Chicken fastfood restaurant despite almost zero media advertising outside of the Philippines.
It's the biggest fastfood chain coming from Asia with over 4500 locations for its different brands, which include 1500 plus Jollibee stores worldwide.
You just can't have a decent conversation in these places, our local Nandos is horrendous, but must admit the food looked pretty good. Thoroughly enjoyable review, cheers 😊👍
Glad you enjoyed the review in spite of all the background noise!
Good video pass often so may give it a shot, was it quick?
Very quick service - just take some earplugs!!
We are addicted to chicken!!!😅😅😅😅
It is good mind!
That all looked very nice indeed
For fast food it was surprisingly decent!
Ding Dong…That lettuce in the chicken burger looks like it’s seen some better days! 😂
All lettuce suffers once you put a boiling hot chicken patty on it I guess
Defo no competition Greeno.
Who needs celebs.
You are ordinary people and we love you.
Thank you.
ANN IN CUMBRIA.XX. ❤
Ha ha, pleased to hear it Ann!!
Ding Dong 📢 the next train arriving on platform 7 is for the Manila...it sounded just like the old British Rail announcements 😄....seriously though being a fast-food joint that looked pretty dang good 👍
The food was good, the announcements... Well not so good!!
There's a Malaysian chain called Marrybrown which is similar. i don't know if they are in London yet, or if you have to suffer a cacophony to eat there.
Seems they are only in Malaysia
@@GreenoEats I'm in Australia and there's one near me. I saw something about a branch in Northern Ireland. Maybe they'll arrive soon.
👍Greeno, looked ok may try when I go to London, noisy though would annoy as well
Apparently they have another branch at Earls Court, so that might be not quite so noisy?
Not sure abroad but Jollibee has a 996 work culture in the Philippines
Do they? Certainly couldn’t get away with that in the UK
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Jollibee is from the Philippines extremely popular... fantastic chicken, gravy and spaghetti ...normally what I order in Manila
I need to go back and try the Spaghetti
went to Jollibee in Manila PH, total trash, overpriced rip-off of KFC i asked for 1 spicy piece of chicken and 1 triple yum yum burger (3 piece patty in one burger)...so they gave me a combo of chicken and rice and drink which i didn't order and also 3x single yum yum burgers which i also didn't order. the price was more expensive than my home KFC yet their exchange rate for money is more than 1/3 my home money.
anyway the chicken piece was flavourless, no spicyness (i hear they run out of spice often) i don't wan't f***kn rice but they gave me 3 cups of bland white rice with everything i threw all the rice in the rubbish, then the 3xyum yum burgers were the most disgusting burgers i've ever had, nothing but a telescopic piece of beef patty with some sort of sugary bread bun, wtf if i wanted a donut i would have asked for one.
worst joke of a fast food chain i have ever experienced, and the fast there was a lot of people outside who couldn't even afford it made it a worse experience.
I work in Hong Kong, and the Philippines.....and based out of bgc in manilla but from the UK....my opinion, but I like Jollibee....I try and avoid places like Makati, Pasig, and Pasay as it's way too busy.
Might not be an American chain but from what you got, pretty much it is, looked nice though
3rd time I have tried to reply Gary, CZcams seems to be doing CZcams things and making comments disappear ! Made a nie change from the usual UK fast food joints that for sure!
Great video as always ❤
Thank you squire!
I remember working at the Nottingham knight Hotel back in the 60s. I sometimes worked on the buffet. They had the best hot dog you ever had. It was a large crusty bread roll. With a giant real sausage in it. The best you ever tasted. But think it's changed hands a few times since. It stood on its own .in Ruddington ,nr the Loughborough roundabout.i think it's more built up now. .
I found part one 🙂
Never heard of that place before. I would love it, as I am mad about chicken, I eat it everyday and that chicken looked so good. I would not eat inside as that bing bong and shouting would have given me chicken rage lol.
Yeah, I would be tempted to get takeaway if I went again!
it's a joke KFC rip-off, i went to Manila PH and tried it and *NOT RECOMMEND*
It sounds like it was good food and worth it, besides the noise.... Hopefully, they will work on that
Yeah, I can still hear those ding Dongs now!
it's a joke KFC rip-off, i went to Manila PH and tried it and *NOT RECOMMEND*
Great video, have watched you with Gary, the queues always put me off that place
No queue when I went but still busy and noisy as hell!
Liked & subscribed. Found you on Gary Eats.
Welcome aboard! That Gary is a good egg isn't he 🙂
OMG how many times with the ding dongs - when i went to the same outlet at L Square thankfully it was quiet, with all that noise I'd have to leave
It was rammed when I was there, picked a bad time obviously 🤣

They're new to the UK - only 3 or 4 branches so far I think, but they're good enough to make a go of it in more locations I think!
@@GreenoEats I'm in Devon so I will wait, probably a long time 🙄keep up the good work 👏

The food was good for fast food certainly, but the constant ding ding drove me nuts! Takeaway a good option 🙂
It looked good to be fair Greeno.
Shame they don't do coleslaw, Chicken, fries and coleslaw really go well together.
Hope you're well bro.
I am very well thanks Nigel - I hope the same with you !
I've not been to Jollibees before, but I have to say that based on your video, it looks pretty decent.
I think your nearest branch is Reading at the moment.....
@@GreenoEats Yeah, I think that me and Reading aren't best suited.......... 👀

I must admit I didn't notice if they had vegetarian options, I guess not anything decent if you're going next door !

Rice & pineapple juice, ha ha
That Jollibee is nice. It tastes almost the same as the one you find in the Philippines. The ones here in the US are hit and more misses.
Apparently there are important menu items I missed, so I will have to go back sometime 🙂
its still feels a lot for it vs other chicken places
the hot dog for £3 a standard one is £2 and Ikea Hot dog is 85p.
so really most of the chicken places are close to being the same and charge around the same prices

The food, looks fine. But some of the stuff, looks a bit flat like they are trying to use as little ingredients as humanly possible. Fabulous video, always great fun.
Glad you enjoyed the video, even if it may not have tempted you to visit the place 🙂
I have had Jollibee in The Philippines, Brunei and Malaysia. The beef burgers are awful, but I think their fried Chicken and Gravy is the best I have had since KFC in Weston - S - Mare. Your Chicken burger looked great. I really don't understand why all fast food places don't have a gravy option, it can make a real difference. The background noise, screaming kids etc is why I film most of my videos away from the restaurants.
It was definitely a step up from the Colonel, less greasy. The noise was annoying, but if I had gone outside I was in Leicester Square, wasn’t much quieter!
Great video again Greeno well done
Thanks, appreciate it!
Greeno just a small suggestion why not increase the scoring system to out of 10 to give you more room to score places....Or be original and do it out of 100 😉
I thought I was being original doing it out of 5 rather than 10 🤣
@GreenoEats Doing it out of 5 makes it hard to have enough scores to separate places. Might be better to do ot out of 100 and even have a score board for your streams showing which places are in which position 😊
Enjoy your holiday with your family Greano. My rather you than me Jollibee food may be not too bad however the noise would have me walking right back out not some where I would choose to visit. You took one for the team. Safe travels.
The noise was really offputting to me - I hope it didn't spoil the video too much !
@@GreenoEats you must have a good mike as you could be heard clearly despite all the back ground noise.
Jollibee! My favorite fastfood restaurant.
I thought it was really good too !
Has to have a good gravy ,in Australia we got KFC and red rooster, red rooster is bland totally a let down weak and tasteless.
Now we got jollibee as well but now yet everywhere .love try them out if there a strong competition for kfc.😂
Looking decent for fast food .
Gravy with fast food is normally a winner, KFC gravy is great too!
Glad you enjoyed it you will have to take the girls I'm sure they would love it xx
I bet they would !
