Honestly I think they should make Mario kart just a bit more smash bros like when it comes to characters. We have Link, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and Donkey Kong characters and tracks for their respective series, so whats to say we couldn’t have more non Mario character and tracks? It would be so cool to have Samus, Kirby, Pikmin, and maybe a few non Nintendo characters + tracks.
@@WonkTheDonk Yeah that's what I find strange. You'd think they would have Pac-Man as a guest but I guess they want to stick to purely Nintendo characters. Bandai Namco solely developed the Arcade series with them licensing the Mario characters so they would have full credence to add whomever they want there.
@stuart5412 Mega Man is also a mii outfit, and he's developed by Capcom. I personaly think Pacman, Sonic, or Mega Man would've been much better inclusions than Link. (And Pacmans my main in the arcade games so....)
I wish Nintendo and Sega could do a little collab for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Characters in this collab are, Sonic, Super Sonic, and... Here is an oddball of a decision, The Worms. Yep, from Team17, they become a playable customized character set.
@@stuart541We got 2 extra characters and one of them was a clone. You dont get 8 characters slots, its work and some character's are easier to create.
Considering Sonic has his own racing series, Nintendo missed an opportunity to make him a guest racer in this game. He could even have a build based off of his car in Team Sonic Racing.

Yes and no. While this is indeed real, you must have a modded switch or emulator to play as him. I plan on updating the mod to accommodate the additions made in Wave 6.
