Sir ,,plato thinks best men and women guardians ' offspring would be best assets for ideal state ,,is it not against his idea of selection of guardian on the basis of superiority of virtues irrespective of class,sex and birth ??

Very informative sir this topic teaches us lot about sciencentific, psychological & philosophical factor as well ❤️ afterall even these thinkers are also keeping their pov with deep analysis with different perspective so it's hard to find truth I think it's just like the difference between logical mind #(concious) (truth, realistic, fact based) & subconscious mind which doesn't knw the difference coz it's invisible , imaginary, illusionary + belief system)

Sir,,soldiers and producers are performing their social duties what is best suited to them but are not governed by reason as they have courage and temperance (respectively) as their dominant element.... Aren't they just individual ,,if it is then how ideal state is possible as plato says "state is nothing but individual writ large " or just individuals form just state.

it is not that they r not governed by reason, their dominant spirits are courage and temperance; for Plato ideal state is law less, coercion less, force less living in bliss where each one is doing what one is best suited for...no competition, no jealousy, no conflict of interest....of course such ideal state would be unrealistic, an utopia...
