Perfect Game, not very nice editor atm... Really needs simple Drag n drop notes onto the timeline, because super complex music would take years to make 1 song using this method...
Hi, thanks for the upload. I'm absolutely a fan of your work! I seem to always find myself doing a few rounds throughout the day. Was hoping to make my own track but it seems quiet complex. Hope to get to do some in time. I was also wondering if you're planing on adding more to a co-op game style in the future? Again thanks for the great game, huge thumbs up!! Keep at it
@@daverwob even if we can’t include album artwork in our custom level files, will there be a way for the custom background to absorb the dominant colors in the palette of our selected artwork file? (Kind of like iOS music app used to do during playback, and Spotify sometimes does)
Are there plans to standardise the chart format in MIDI form as well (and subsequently a converter to convert it back to the game format)? It'd be nice for charters who are more comfortable using a DAW like Reaper to create their own custom tracks for the game.
Can't say we have plans for that. Sorry. The .srtb files the game creates can be read by text reading programs, so someone with some ingenuity and drive could probably create a plugin that does the job.
Help! I was doing a song in the "customize" section and I accidentally hit the escape key "ESC" and now I can’t go back to continue editing, and it stays there, I was testing to play.
Hello! I loved the game, it's great! but I have a question ... at this moment can you create songs only with the same ones from the game? Will there be an update in the future for external songs? I know that may be the idea and I am sorry to disturb this way. Greetings from Argentina!

"If you want a lift off note at the end, just select the last note and move left twice with alt." I don't get this part... I'm holding alt, clicking left twice, doesn't work. Clicking left twice, hitting alt, doesn't work. Hitting left alt twice, doesn't work... What does "move left twice with alt." mean??? I'm stuck on this :(
This might be outdated info, but if you select the note tail (created with shift + 4 or by pressing 4 again when your original hold note is selected) you can adjust the tail to be a release note with ctrl + left / right. This works with beat notes also, shift + 3 for the tail then ctrl + left / right to make a hard beat release
Not a question about the editor, but is the mobile version of this game still in beta? I found this iOS page, but I'm not sure what to make of it: apps.apple.com/my/app/spin-rhythm/id1462879000 Also, are the tracks on _Spin Rhythm XD, Vol. 1_ in the mobile version or just the XD version?

We've got a long list of updates for the editor. Some are simple updates, some are more complicated but we're going to keep improving it in upcoming patches. We actually wanted to hold out until the editor was improved, but this info is still valuable so we wanted to get it out there.
Spin Rhythm XD That sounds great! I also think that it was a good idea to release the editor now, even if it’s not that fleshed out. It allows the people who really want to design their own levels to do that, and lets others know that the editor is on your roadmap.
@@PaulYourGuide nice, good luck. Jump in the discord if you need any more help, there are many very good and friendly charters who can help you with everything (especially the tempo stuff which will be difficult with an acoustic recording)
Great question. The answer is... maybe. We will have done most of the work implementing it on PC, but it's not possible to side-load music via SD card on the Switch for the purpose of editing levels.
Great game but TERRIBLE level editor... This will never encourage the community to renew the game's content. Mouse has almost no purpose, which is disastrous

A co-op rhythm game sounds awesome holy shit
How would co-op work?
You should make a mode or settings were it adds more flashing synced lighting in the background. Like a light show or something
Sprucing up the backgrounds, and allowing user-made backgrounds (even if partly prefabricated) is on our roadmap.

I LOVE THIS GAME. JUST BOUGHT IT TODAY! I'm suck at it though. But I still love it.
This game is absolutely incredible. Instantly fell in love with it ❤️
I hoped this comes to the swich, even if it doesn't have level editor I still want the game on the switch
It will!

Hitting R should re-open the editor overlay. We'll make sure this key stays on display during edit mode in the future.

If this comes out on the Nintendo Switch I'm buying it right away

This looks awesome
Nice!! XD
How do i post my levels so others online can play it?
could we get a better mouse support please? maybe being able to select the notes on the top screen and edit them there?
You can hold shift and click and drag the timeline to select notes.

They should make the editor easy to use like a standard DAW, like FL Studio's Piano Roll e.g.
We don't have the resources to create a full DAW style experience for XD, but we will be improving the editor this year.
Is this going to be the final version of the editor? Or will it be improved upon in future updates?

How do I add a custom level someone else created?
I have that same issue , I can get the audio in but not the actual difficulty levels or anything, I need help too
How do you make spinners longer?
Use Shift + 4 to place a "note tail". These create longer spins and scratches, and also can be used to bend change the shape of hold notes.
@@daverwob I figured it out, but I appreciate the help. Currently trying my hand at mapping One by Metallica.

Currently customs are accessed from the side panel in track select. There's a little pencil icon as one of the tabs.

If we can play levels that other people made on PC, you can make it were swich people can play custom levels from the creaters that made it on PC
I don't mind if the swich doesn't have level editor, you just need to be able to play peoples custom levels
