“Yug Sahastra Yojan Par Bhanu ! Leeyo Taahi Madhur Phal Janu !!”
This means that Sun (भानु) is at a distance of Juug Sahastra Yojans (जुग सहस्त्र योजन- Distance Unit in Hindi)
According to following conversion practices that are in use as per Hindu Vedic Literature-
    1 Juug = 12000
    1 Sahastra= 1000
    1 Yojan = 8 Miles
    Thus
    12000 X 1000 X 8 = 96,000,000 miles
    1 mile = 1.6 kms
This further implies that distance is 96,000,000 * 1.6 kms = 153,600,000 Kms

U see we are caught up in vile times as for democrasy it is permissible use force to restrain people like Hiroshima and Nagasaki on innocent people by using the nuclear bombs...therefore violence continues unstoppable...but at the same we aught to look at ancient times of Mahabharata War during Vedic governance...the war took place in a battle field by soldiers on soldiers without destroying the innocent people and the buildings as is done in modern times because at that time people had compassion for innocent non combatants and the environments but today we became monsters!!!

And it doesn't matter who is the servant and who is lord... we are all part same ultimate energy... we only have to respect and love each other with an honest heart. Thank you for making me relise that in words... i understood that idea, but that was in an abstract form.. you explanation give me clarity to that thought. Thank you 🙏

Prof. Sutton is very respectful towards the tradition and it is extremely appreciative. I see scholars of Hinduism tend to study the religion to criticize it and cause great deal of unnecessary offense to the practitioners. Whereas Prof. Sutton understands that the topic he is dealing with is a living tradition and shows enough civility towards it. He recited the whole Hanuman Chalisa with a certain tone that was very near to the way the text is recited.
I listened to Prof. Sutton first time because someone giving lecture on Hanuman Chalisa was a surprising thing for me. I think I should listen to more of his talks to increase my knowledge about my own religion in a civilized non-controversial manner.

On question of interpretation of Monkey question of one gentleman.
There is also an interpretation that Vanara sena means a community named Vanara.
There are similar communities like Naga, Matsya, etc.
Matsya avatar for example can be interpreted as Matsya community helping Manu and his community in floods.
When the mythological stories spread the world view of community changes. Thoughts ideas and people take different images / shapes to explain one world view point,
References also get lost. Hence way of interpretation changes.
The interpretation what Dr Nick gave is also beautiful and is what is considered by many including me.
Hanuman is most humble being having powers of divine. I think Hanuman is the only devotee that is revered more than the Lord. More Hanuman temples in India than Lord Ram temples. No Lord Ram Temple is without Hanuman. But you have Hanuman temples without Lord Ram's Murti (Ram is only in sentiments. You see Hanuman means you have seen Lord Ram)
Show me one such devotee in the world

Another example to add to the point made in 43:09 is that Hanuman sided with Sugreev and not Bali and chose to be in excile than be a minister.

I think Hanumanji shows that different human-like primate species co-existed simultaneously with modern humans.

Just two minor errors were there like , it was Rambha and Brahma who curse him to die if he rapes again ,Vedavati curses him the she would cause his death in her next life . Secondly, Mandodari does mention the laksham rekha in the Ramcharitmanas while counseling Ravana to make amends of Rama .
