Rice is really good. Really came on as the season progressed. He didn't make bad mistakes and made plays. That's great for a rookie season. Although he does make mistakes driving, which is pretty bad
That play at 5:30, Rice recognized that the Bengals protection was messed up. That was not the route for that play. He was hoping Patrick saw the same thing so he just ran the go and luckily Patrick saw the same thing which provided a large chunk play.
Old guy here. I think at one point he led the league or close to the top in YAC. Also finished with just under 1000 yards receiving. (942).
He was the spark they needed since MVS was a big disappointment with drops. It’s just too bad he’s going to be suspended for, my guess, 6 or 8 games. Maybe he’ll be fresh for the homestretch.

I don’t think KC wants a #1 WR. They want 4 WRs with speed, create separation, and that can catch and their #1 QB can throw to depending on the situation imo.

I agree. I think their strategy, I think is getting them the most value. Instead of have one WR1, they want three WR2 and some WR3. Every WR has a role to play or some plays they are specialist at and Andy Reid has the brains to cycle through all his choices and gain Yards. The rookie TE Wiley I think has potential to breakout.
Look for TE Jared Wiley to pick up the slack, evidently he had great showing in OTAs and Minicamp

Rice is WR1 for the Chiefs until Brown or Worthy proves otherwise. He also benefits from being on the team with the best QB and best offensive minded head coach in the NFL. How good is Rice? He isn't in the top 5 NFL wide receivers but he made the most of his catches with YAC which puts him in the top 10. Not too shabby for a rookie.

will Rice even play? He has 8 pending felony counts " including six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault."
The NFL won’t suspend him until the courts figure out what they’re doing. Until the court reaches a verdict it is believed rice will be allowed to play. The court will likely not reach a verdict until 2025 which means the suspension will most likely happen next year due to the whole innocent until proven guilty thing. Even though we saw video of him doing it he still gets a defense. Most of the charges will most likely be worked down to misdemeanors. The shitty thing about America is the rich and powerful are rarely held accountable for their crimes and rice is making millions and has the backing of a multimillion dollar organization in the chiefs.
