DesignerHeadToToes I know that it isn't the case but this and Logan are movies that I could see happening in the same universe because of how realistic the approach to their respective themes is.
I agree. It feels like most of the movies Iron Man is in these days are all about unrelatable super villains and costume heroes. Real cruelty and violence we see in our own world is missing from the new movies. (I'm mainly taking about the movies where it's not specifically about Iron Man. The other iron man movies are little less gritty, but still have the ten rings terrorist organization you see here.)
The thing is this is the first time he's Iron Man so watching it you think wow this is badass he made a suit he can fly just took out a tank and out flew some jets... so it'll always be a great movie but I also love the newer ones where he upgrades his suits but since he doesn't fight tanks that's probably why it doesn't feel as good but still is
This is the coolest scene in all of Marvel. It's got just the right balance of reality, realism and wonder. I also love how the suit repulsors are slow-ish to charge and fire, the tech takes moments to engage, and the suit is mechanical and heavy. So brilliantly done.
This being the first installment of the MCU did NOT do that well, compared to other franchises. Dark Knight I think just about doubled the domestic gross of Iron Man. But MCU got the last laugh. I for one will never look at Christopher Nolan's DK trilogy as the definitive Batman anyhow. But RDJ and how he carried the MCU franchise is part of many reasons why MCU>DCEU.
I think the reason the suit looks so good is because it avoids the uncanny valley issue that the newer suits do. When something looks too clean, and too perfect with no visible imperfections. Regardless of whether it makes sense or not, our brains are programmed to recognise that as unusual. This suit is covered in visual imperfections that make it look like it's actually present in the scene. It looks REAL.
Ah, back when the Iron Man suit felt heavy and mechanical and Bad Ass! Now they feel more light and almost plastic like. I still love the character, I just like this version more.
+Taonas Totally agree with you. His motives also were more "human", that was a man fixing his own errors and you can feel his rage. Now it's Inspector Gadget who can pop out of his armor and call it by making "metal hero" moves. Maybe he's evolved wayyy too fast.
+David Linkan that IS the character. He evolves fast. He is a genius. Just do not like how they feel weaker thats my only complaint but his suits evolving makes sense seeing how much of a genius he is
I agree, it's just that he is evolving way too fast IMHO, even for a genius. Look at his holographic workshop... In IM1, it's just a table; In IM2 ( six months later ? ) it's the whole garage that goes holographic. Look at the Iron Legion in IM3... how many suits did he built in a few months ? 35. Then the Hulkbuster, then the Friday suit that just doesn't feel mecanical anymore since it can do pretty much everything... I miss the limitations that made the suit "real". It's becoming hard for some suspension of disbelief here... my two cents. :)
Can we all just appreciate that random unnamed tank driver who somehow managed to hit a man sized object traveling over 140mph that’s not only at least 350 feet in the air, but probably at least 600 feet from the tank
This is a perfect film. Here's why In this scene, It's not just about saving the people. He wins because he came READY to face the weapons he himself created. The IRON MAN is born because he had to escape that situation. The entire suit was made to become invulnerable. Every single shot in this scene is a payoff from the first act. It happens right in the middle of the movie. Which is PERFECTION.
Actually, powered armor has been in development for awhile. At least the exoskeleton is. Right now the problem is the power source, as it doesn't last long if not hooked up to a constant stream of energy. Considering technological levels are always advancing, we should see combat ready power armor within our life time. Granted it won't be invulnerable, but you can't win them all
The problem is... that tank so obviously wasn't an AA platrform... so... yeah. Unless you're suggesting that there was an AA platform somewhere else that we didn't see... which the movie gives no indication of... yeah... this comment is a no.
Yeah... the thing about that is, at this point, the only SUPER (TM) munitions the audience knows so far in the MCU Tony has developed for the military... is the Jericho, which is essentially a tactical nuclear device or a MOAB without all that pesky radiation or tons of potentially hazardous chemical residue. If Tony did develop a shell for use in tanks to give them better AA capabilities, whatever, but there's no reason to think that he has since most of his munitions seem to consist of license built small arms and a few conventional missile systems with his name on them and nothing really proprietary and/or potentially groundbreaking, all things considered. But, I admit, this is a very likely possibility, certainly more so than a gunner and tank commander managing to time that shot against Tony quickly enough to knick him with a fucking HEAT or sabot round and have the effect it does on the MK-3. Ah, but that's where another key issue comes up, doesn't it? Even if we accept that the shot Tony was hit with was some custom, proprietary Stark Tech AA munition meant to be fired from the barrels of tank guns and that Favreau and the writers just shot themselves in the foot without giving us a shot of the interior of the tank… the problem is that a normal tank does not have the targeting capabilities necessary to hit a target with as small a profile as Tony in his MK-3 moving at the speed Tony was right before impact (Mach 0.18 if you watch closely like I did for the purposes of a massive versus battle that I’m working on right now) combined with the distance Tony was away… even if they did have these special AA munitions. Contrary to what films would have you believe, it’s really hard to hit moving targets, especially when you’re a vehicle designed to hit much larger targets at much smaller distances that don’t typically move very fast, certainly not a tiny bit over 138 miles per hour (which is what Mach 0.18 translated out to). From this, we’d also have to conclude that the T-series tank that evidentally blows Tony out of the sky was also modded out to have the necessary targeting equipment to make such a shot possible in the first place… which would be really ironic, since I didn’t know Stark Industries, which is said in the film to be a key player in maintaining American military dominance was allowed to sell targeting equipment that lets tanks designed for ground combat play AA platform... to the Ruskies which is where the Ten Rings would have had to have gotten that T-series tank in the first place. At that point, though, the AA shot idea just falls apart, whatever value over the HEAT or sabot round idea it may have had.
The sound design was massively on point for this. The whirring of the servos as the suit moves gives it a real sense of weight and solidity. The nanotech suits and rapid assemble ones are cool but this felt like REAL Iron Man.
How crazy would it be if the kid at 1:59 ends up becoming the MCU's version of Riri Williams? Imagine it: that kid gets inspired by what Tony did that day and dedicates his life to understanding the Iron Man technology and ends up becoming a variation of Ironheart. Edit: lmao nevermind

I recently watched the entire movie and it’s amazing to see just how much of a home run Iron Man was to kick off the MCU. They had one shot and nailed it…great movie!
For me, I think Iron Man 3 is the best movie of the trilogy, but I also loved Iron Man 1. Iron Man 2 is kind of an entertaining mediocre film - it's not one I'll revisit anytime soon, but there's stuff like the terrific action scenes, Scarlet Johannson, Don Cheadle and Sam Rockwell in top form
MADARA200 other then the really poor storyline and plot as well as butchering the Mandarin, but wtf was iron man's suits made out of lego or something. literally could sneeze in the damn things only for it to fall apart.
Actually this film used more practical effects than cgi. That's why, I'm so sad that civil war's ironman cgi is little bit awkward even though I loved the movie
So many reasons I loved this movie, one being the tangibility. It didn’t feel fantasy or sci-fi. It felt like a really smart dude came up with some really kickass gear and decided to do some good with it. _”I am Ironman.”_ can’t beat the beginning of it all.
Mark III: punches guys 30 ft in the air, takes tank shell with little consequences, kills a dozen bogeys in seconds. Mark 46 or some shit: has trouble with steroids mcpatriotshit with a frisbee and robowanking arm man.
Yea especially with the sound effects of the suit like the robotic movments of the joints and the heavy metal weight of the sound of when he lands it feels more tangible and like something that could exist in real life
zombiewafle They Nerfed him because they knew he would one day have to fight Cap and Bucky and they would have to win the fight. They basicly nerfed him so they can have drama in order to make a new movie!
i really think this scene is insane because it shows real people being saved from not monsters, aliens or dudes with super powers, but from actual and realistic terrorists, something that exists nowadays a lot
Stix N' Stones I’m glad they turned to the more comic book theme because you can’t have a guy just go around in 10 movies just “beating up bad people” the story advances and so will the stakes
@@alexlee2581 while this is true, ultimately, it really feels like superheroes went from saving lives to just fighting whatever big bad was happening at that time.
I was thinking the exact same thing. We went from a billionaire getting kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan to aliens and wizards and mythological beings. It's amazing how far they've come with everything, and yet how great the first movie still is.
It shows us the origin of each heroes from each places that will come together for a final showdown in the Infinity War. It's just amazing how they set and connect everything up so far. We are familiar with normal humans, after making ourselves comfortable with modern fancy technology that we perceive is to be the future, MCU introduces to us a whole new level
+Asiankido Yea, the paris attacks were phoney. And before you yell troll at me, please refer to the following: Paris Attacks Hoax It's simple, there's a plethora of videos arguing its event with extensive critical thinking, and their association with the Mossad, AkA the Israeli's.
I just love how badass he is in this film. No quips, funny lines or jokes when wearing the suit. He just arrives, fucks shit up and then leaves. Edit: guys, I wasn't complaining about Disney, I think the newer films are great. Winter Soldier is my favorite MCU film.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you are still a very young person? 2008 isn't that long ago. Films like the LOTR trilogy, Avatar, District 9, the Matrix Trilogy, Spider-Man 2, Jurassic Park 2 etc. are some of the most CGI-perfect movies ever, and they go from 7 to almost 20 years back. It's no surprise CGI was good back then as well, if done properly.
I think, 1. The fact that Marvel wasn't pumping out movies all the goddamn time so the effects had time to be refined (ILM and other companies did some really challenging work on this one) And 2. The practical effects...even though they're not in as many shots as people think...because practical effects can't nearly do everything but it does give the CG something to match up to sometimes. There's a good documentary on the effects that gives a real suit/CGI suit comparison, that talks about how Jon Favreau was totally fooled by the animated suit and how well it held up.
From a story and character perspective, it makes sense that Tony would constantly improve and refine his Iron Man suit over the course of the movies… but man, this version was probably the coolest.
+Joseph Capellan not being funny but in Civil War Cap and his boyfriend both attack Tony at the same time and Tony messes their shit up. motherfucka blasted buckies arm off and nearly left him dead with cap and bucky having to carry eachother out of the base after the battle
I did, tony was a great character ,he had quite the development and his actor was a perfect fit for him , I do not believe that I will see this kind of quality from the MCU anymore , and I am satisfied with that , I loved this movie , it had character development , suit development , obstacles and everything that is necessary to do a good story.
Endgame sucked compared to infinity war. We wait 10 years and the best they came up with was time traveling? Where was Adam warlock, or stranger? He'll where was eternity? Silver Surfer? Mephisto, Death? Wolverine? Psssshhhh
I miss that robotic voice... I understand why they stick with Robert Downey Jr's voice because of various reasons relating to money but that voice is so fucking awesome.
to be fair. This suit is apparently very hard to take off, meanwhile his later suits can open and let him walk out. Structural integrity was sacrificed for showmanship.
***** The mark 42 was destroyed by a truck and the mark 46 was smashed up by a guy with a shield that's weak compared to the mark 3 which shrugged off a tank shell and the mark 6 which survived combat with Thor a god who can lift continents.
Ushio01 Yeah. Mark 46 is like Mark 42, and the previous armors combined, to make a perfect armor. But guess what, Disney NERFED and made him underpowered.
Kay Rey OH SHUT UP! IRON MAN IS A WEAKLING?!?!? IN THIS HE TOOK OUT A BUNCH OF TERRORISTS!!!! IN IRON MAN 2 HE FOUGHT AN ARMY OF ROBOTS!!!!!! AVENGERS AN ARMY OF ALIENS!!!!!! IN IRON MAN 3 HE FOUGHT EXTREMIS SOLDIERS!!!!! IN AGE OF ULTRON AN ARMY OF ROBOTS AGAIN AND MANAGED TO TAKE DOWN THE HULK!!!!!!!!!!!! AND DISNEY DOES NOT CONTROL THE MCU!!!!!!!!! THEY!!!!!! Yeah Yeah Yeah, i've read that comment about the "originally meant for kids" from you like a hundred times below. But also you have to remember that Cap. Used to snap necks on the paper too, and that The Incredible Hulk was also a good movie that had no stupid jokes. Sure, Iron Man had jokes, but those were good jokes, not like the jokes from Iron Man 3 and most of the Marvel movies. And so, going on with your logic, movies filled with forced and stupid jokes for kids is better than a movie with well developed characters and story like The Winter Soldier? You have to realize that's bad even for comercial films. Also, you should realize you're fanboying right there. Seriously calling "depressing non funny serious bull crap JESUS methaphors" DC and getting crazy as bitch when we say Marvel lose the thouch to make films just to sell them to kids it's fucking stupid. For real bro, i don't care how old are you, and i respect your opinins, and forgive me about this but if you come barking like a 13 year old, you're gonna get answers for a 13 year old.
THIS is ironman. omg the suit looks absolutely realistic, the sound of bullets striking the suit, sound design so well done. the OG Ironman, The Badass one!
Older Marvel movies are better than newer Marvel movies. They seemed so much more realistic and didn’t have terrible, almost pointless, corny humor. More suspenseful; better plot development; better dialogue; etc.
This suit had weight to it, metal clanking sound effects, made Iron man menacing without saying a word. And when he did speak he had a deeper altered voice. The reason this suit looks more realistic than civil war or AofU is the use of practical effects and cgi. Now he is practically all cgi, has no sense of weight, and makes suits that ripped apart by hawk-clucks arrows
I agree totally. I was just thinking how i like this first model the best. The sounds the suit made and the voice. It looks more like iron man. The infinity war nano suit looks horrible and fake.
DivineLion "Nanomachines suit" is the biggest pseudo scientific bullshit I have ever seen in a comic book movie. The writers probably did not pass high school. If he can do that why the fuck build just a suit? He can build any weapon, way smaller and way more powerful and take out any enemy. This suit is the real deal, it will always be. This was built by a genius engineer. Infinity War suit looks more like something made by Dr. Strange.
Before Marvel was owned by Disney. This is still arguably the best MCU movie to Date. Along with Winter Soldier. Infinity War was great as well, depending on where they take the plot after.
panda in a bambo I know that I was referring to this scene and this movie as a whole(before Marvel was owned by Disney). The other two films were great as well despite being made under Disney's influences.
The fact that this scene picks up at the end of an impromptu, intercontinental, super-sonic flight just to save these people makes it even more badass.
Centurion medium tank: now equipped with anti air targeting systems and dodgeable explosive airsoft bbs. I love when movies try to use armored vehicles in their scenes.
This movie was the one for me. I didn't watch the second one, and I only watched the 3rd because my son wanted me to see it, but I knew it was all downhill after this one. The origin story, the suit development, the character development, everything that went into this movie was perfect.
not always. look at captain america movies even thoe that to my opinion the first avenger is the best, most pepole think that winter solider was the best and pepole are even saying that civil war is the best
+ERc Pteco that is EXACTLY why i looked this clip up! how i freakin wish we could. watching this pretending he was destroying ISIS was extremely satisfying haha >:)
Steve Rogers ...I'm not hating at Iron Man 1 lol. I'm simply stating that Marvel has moved away from more mature themes because of Disney's marketing towards kids...no need to be all passive aggressive...
Have to admit Iron Man is the coolest and most badass super hero we have ever had. Love the bit at 2:50 when he shoots the tank missile, does not do anything and he turns arounds starts walking the other way confident it will destroy the tanks LOL.
SheldonAdama17 as much as it is, I feel like this is done right. He lands quickly, there's no bwaaaaah, no one really reacts cause they have no idea who he is really at this point if I remember correctly. And then he just decks a dude up to a building. The lad
+I amAldo This suit was more like a walking/flying tank. The new suit is way faster in cqc, has greater weaponry, and able to adapt in h2h. Stark sacrificed some strengths for new ones.
There was a deleted scene that Tony was really banged up from that fight. He most likely sacrifice the later armors to be lighter instead of having endurance. Prefering speed over defense.
Mark 3 is terribly slow compared to the mark 46. Bucky would see that punch coming from a mile away. The super soldiers would be harder to tag on the ground. IM would have to fly or start out far away for a clear advantage.
Yeah... but the thing is... the Mark 3, 5, and 6 were tough enough that Bucky and Cap wouldn't be able to punch out Tony with their bare fists and would have had to use the shield or some serious heavy weaponry they didn't have.
VunderGuy Cap or Bucky would dominate the mark 5.................... When did Cap really affect Stark with just his fists? All he did was move IM around, but IM can move Thor too.........doesn't mean damage was done.
Wow, a serious CV rescue mission, no gags, no jokes, no posing for the cameras - badass one-liner "He's all yours". Where have your days gone, Iron Man?
That tiny missle was probably a small mixture of uranium , plutonium, and some other accelerant ...knowing tonys crazy mind when it comes to tech and explosives 😂👌👏
Man, this movie just has that GRIT to it, that the newer ones don't have. The other iron man movies are cool, but this is the one that's BADASS.

The little hand movement at 1:41 to turn the repulsor off is such a nice touch
1:27 definitely was the "anyone else?" Scene from Thor.
Now today MCU would vadd silly humor to this scene if done today shame MCu lost its way this started it all

Why do you think the whole world wants Stark Tech so badly?
Two things make me sad about this scene.
1 - the tank gunner was on the wrong side

Props to that tank for taking him out of the sky. Not easy for a tank to take out a human size jet.

This scene here is at least 10 times more BADASS than 90% of the new moves. No wit, no oneliners, pure fucking IRON MAN!
Mark III: punches guys 30 ft in the air, takes tank shell with little consequences, kills a dozen bogeys in seconds.
Mark 46 or some shit: has trouble with steroids mcpatriotshit with a frisbee and robowanking arm man.
omfg exactly!!
There is no Mark 46 at least not in the movie
*movies
Mark 46 is the civil war armor from a cinematic chronology
+SuperUnunquadium if this suit was badass , wait for the bleeding edge armour in civil war
I miss this Iron Man. Felt like he had true weight and power in the suit. Now we get Plastic Man.
zombiewafle
Yes
zombiewafle very true
Yea especially with the sound effects of the suit like the robotic movments of the joints and the heavy metal weight of the sound of when he lands it feels more tangible and like something that could exist in real life
OK Hulkbuster plastic man... casuals
zombiewafle They Nerfed him because they knew he would one day have to fight Cap and Bucky and they would have to win the fight.
They basicly nerfed him so they can have drama in order to make a new movie!
I LOVE THE WAY HE SAYS “he’s all yours” and then everyone looks down at him
And he even managed to pull off the “heroes walking away from explosions” trope. Nice.
i really think this scene is insane because it shows real people being saved from not monsters, aliens or dudes with super powers, but from actual and realistic terrorists, something that exists nowadays a lot
It's a comic book movie
Exactly this is why this movie is the best among every marvel movie. It's more real world oriented.
« Realistic terrorists » You got to be fucking kidding me
Stix N' Stones I’m glad they turned to the more comic book theme because you can’t have a guy just go around in 10 movies just “beating up bad people” the story advances and so will the stakes
@@alexlee2581 while this is true, ultimately, it really feels like superheroes went from saving lives to just fighting whatever big bad was happening at that time.
Rewatching this scene, I didn't realize it was so dark. Still one of the best MCU movies out there.
Agreed. I think Iron Man 3 is underrated. It was great. It showed Tony can still kick ass without the suit.
KNIGHTOFTHEWIND THEHEDGEHOG No iron man 3 is shit
KNIGHTOFTHEWIND THEHEDGEHOG agrreeeedddd
This is the best MCU film of all time
It’s really not realistic though. War on terrorism is far from being that cut and dry.
R.I.P IronMan!! Gone but never forgotten! We will miss and love him 3000!
The absolute best scene in the best solo iron man movie. That first punch that knocked the terrorist flying is just phenomenal!
"He's all yours" that voice! I wish they would've kept it throughout the movies. Kind of like how black panther sounds only when he's in the suit
Kai Michael I LOVE HIS ACCENT!!!!
Is it me, or did he sound like the master chief?
It’s crazy to see how far the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come.
I was thinking the exact same thing. We went from a billionaire getting kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan to aliens and wizards and mythological beings. It's amazing how far they've come with everything, and yet how great the first movie still is.
Infinite Athletics yeah, it took time and major dedication and care. Not just shitting movies out like DC
Savion Smith which is sad because there was a time when DC didn't do that. Think The Dark Knight and how much time and effort they put into it.
It shows us the origin of each heroes from each places that will come together for a final showdown in the Infinity War. It's just amazing how they set and connect everything up so far.
We are familiar with normal humans, after making ourselves comfortable with modern fancy technology that we perceive is to be the future, MCU introduces to us a whole new level
pittland44 sadly, the only great movie before disney came along.
Im going to say, the guy in the tank did make a great shot. Flying target
"He is all yours" that telling ironman is not an ironman but a justice saviour ❤❤❤
I wish iron man was real to save my country Afghanistan
wtf
You can.
Yeah brother you don't need an iron man to save your country when you yourself can become one.
Hey, you don’t need a suit to be a hero!
Move to another country
watching this again after what happened this week in Paris and Syria and Russia....
if only Iron Man were real....
he is
+Asiankido he will be soon
+Asiankido Yea, the paris attacks were phoney. And before you yell troll at me, please refer to the following:
Paris Attacks Hoax
It's simple, there's a plethora of videos arguing its event with extensive critical thinking, and their association with the Mossad, AkA the Israeli's.
+huntingbird30 please, no more stupid conspiracy theories...
+Asiankido dude russia is good at invading too
Man, i need to watch this film again. It's been YEEEEARS. And who knew how far the MCU would come back then? Crazy.
“He’s all yours.”
Man the way he said it was so powerful and full of vengeance. Badassery level 9999+.
I just love how badass he is in this film. No quips, funny lines or jokes when wearing the suit. He just arrives, fucks shit up and then leaves.
Edit: guys, I wasn't complaining about Disney, I think the newer films are great. Winter Soldier is my favorite MCU film.
This is before the Disney purchase
Ghetto Lisa Shut the fuck up, without Disney we wouldn't have MCU.
Steve Rogers MCU was still around before Disney came and ruined everything. -_-
Eats shoots and leaves, like the dictionary panda!
GameFan078 Are you stupid ? MCU came in 2008, Disney in 2009. Idiot.
Why does the cgi look like it just came out today? This movie came out 8 years ago this is some god tier cgi
actually the most parts were not completely cgi
+Batman
the almost scene used practical effect,, the cgi used to complete it,,
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you are still a very young person? 2008 isn't that long ago. Films like the LOTR trilogy, Avatar, District 9, the Matrix Trilogy, Spider-Man 2, Jurassic Park 2 etc. are some of the most CGI-perfect movies ever, and they go from 7 to almost 20 years back. It's no surprise CGI was good back then as well, if done properly.
It was pretty ahead of it's time.
I think, 1. The fact that Marvel wasn't pumping out movies all the goddamn time so the effects had time to be refined (ILM and other companies did some really challenging work on this one)
And 2.
It’s weird knowing spider-man in this universe during this scene is around 4 to 5 years old
From a story and character perspective, it makes sense that Tony would constantly improve and refine his Iron Man suit over the course of the movies… but man, this version was probably the coolest.
Literally the first thing we would all do if given an Iron Man suit.
Kill ISIS and end the war between the world and them
nah i would fuck off and blow off everything
Not Spiderman nah
lol you guys are mixing fiction with reality and its dumb
Kraft Punk hey we've all had our times when we daydream
This is why I'm TeamIronMan
Same 😏
Cap beating the crap out of Tony's latest weak as crap suit is just part of the reason I'm team Cap. Also, the fact that Cap is absolutely correct.
+VunderGuy Cap only won cause of plot. He had help and it was his movie. One on one Ironman stomps his ass.
+Joseph Capellan not being funny but in Civil War Cap and his boyfriend both attack Tony at the same time and Tony messes their shit up. motherfucka blasted buckies arm off and nearly left him dead with cap and bucky having to carry eachother out of the base after the battle
Nathaniel Ellert I laughed at the boyfriend part.
After Endgame you will return to watch this.. you reading this is the proof
I did, tony was a great character ,he had quite the development and his actor was a perfect fit for him , I do not believe that I will see this kind of quality from the MCU anymore , and I am satisfied with that , I loved this movie , it had character development , suit development , obstacles and everything that is necessary to do a good story.
Sky Traveler yes
Endgame sucked compared to infinity war. We wait 10 years and the best they came up with was time traveling? Where was Adam warlock, or stranger? He'll where was eternity? Silver Surfer? Mephisto, Death? Wolverine? Psssshhhh
I'll miss you, Tony Stank.
Please put a spoiler before.
I miss that robotic voice... I understand why they stick with Robert Downey Jr's voice because of various reasons relating to money but that voice is so fucking awesome.
why id they change it?
I'm with you on that one. That is the voice of a true iron man!
No reason to have it. At the time, no one knew who was in the suit. The world now knows Tony Stark is Iron Man.
artsohc Yah thats probably one of the reasons but its just so damn awesome D:
Who's voice is that anyways?
2:54 And that ladies and gentlemen was how the word badass was created
Nicole Perez cool guys don't look at explosions. They blow things up and they walk away.
@@christophergarcia3695 great sentence
The Absolute BADDEST Walk Off EVER!!!!!!!
By far the best movie in the MCU.
2:56 the walk. This damn iconic walk always gets me.
Ah the good old days when the Iron Man suit didn't break apart when a guy touched it.
to be fair. This suit is apparently very hard to take off, meanwhile his later suits can open and let him walk out. Structural integrity was sacrificed for showmanship.
ironman.wikia.com/wiki/Mark_46
I'm sure that Bleeding Edge was also very durable, and like Mark 42 as well. It's the Bleeding Edge Armor.
***** The mark 42 was destroyed by a truck and the mark 46 was smashed up by a guy with a shield that's weak compared to the mark 3 which shrugged off a tank shell and the mark 6 which survived combat with Thor a god who can lift continents.
Ushio01
Yeah. Mark 46 is like Mark 42, and the previous armors combined, to make a perfect armor. But guess what, Disney NERFED and made him underpowered.
+SilenceInd exactly!
I miss this kind of Iron Man...
THEY!!!!!! +SwordsmanMercenary good one
+KKEntertainmentofficialyoutubechannel If Disney "DO-NOT-CONTROL-THE-MOVIES" please tell me how they went from this to beat one of the best and hardest villans with a dance off in one of another child-friendly movie?
Just Saying. BTW, yeah, is your Caps Lock key stuck?
2:23 - That moment where they all turn their attention to the piece of slime laid low at their feet...kinda chilling, but totally deserved.
***** Yeah, kinda makes me wish they showed how much they beat his ass!!! Hopefully ropes and spikes were involved. :D
Eirika sacredstones eing the middle east I like to think they stoned him to death.
I wouldve handed them the rifles the soldiers used and said in their language "Protect what is yours."
SwordsmanMercenary Pfffft.. Boooooring!!!
Eirika sacredstones Common form of punishment over their and it's really a horrible way to go
This suit had weight to it, metal clanking sound effects, made Iron man menacing without saying a word. And when he did speak he had a deeper altered voice. The reason this suit looks more realistic than civil war or AofU is the use of practical effects and cgi. Now he is practically all cgi, has no sense of weight, and makes suits that ripped apart by hawk-clucks arrows
Caleb Cruel his suit is way god damn better in infinity war. Nanomachines
Nanomachines, son
I agree totally. I was just thinking how i like this first model the best. The sounds the suit made and the voice.
It looks more like iron man. The infinity war nano suit looks horrible and fake.
Luke Skywalker first model is great for nostalgia. Over all it doesnt offer much compared to the Nano armour
Strange.
I miss This kind of Marvel…
Best scene of Ironman I have ever scene
How come this looks more authentic than all recent Marvel movies featuring Iron Man, seriously
Because this was based around realism rather than "ohhh lets make it a pure super hero film built only for the fans!"
Cause disney....this was pre disney...hence the badassery
Before Marvel was owned by Disney. This is still arguably the best MCU movie to Date. Along with Winter Soldier. Infinity War was great as well, depending on where they take the plot after.
Potential94 winter Soldier and iw came when marvel is owned by Disney and gotg is also great
panda in a bambo I know that I was referring to this scene and this movie as a whole(before Marvel was owned by Disney). The other two films were great as well despite being made under Disney's influences.
Potential94 and there is an issue that is made under Disney influence?
Fuck you? There financial backing helped launch the MCU including the netflix series.
@Hassan Syed Agree
was such a badass scene!! I love coming back to this! CGI was great here, unlike the other movies...
The fact that this scene picks up at the end of an impromptu, intercontinental, super-sonic flight just to save these people makes it even more badass.
This scene is just so satisfying to watch
+SuZuKi021mr GOD I KNOW RIGHT
So true.
2:32 gotta give props to the terrorist crew in the tank, that was one hell of a shot.
Had to come back after endgame to pay some much needed respects for our Suited hero. Good bye Tony Stark,my childhood hero

Blame Disney and their kid marketing
Zatharos Marvel Studios made 3 movies before Disney. 3, and only 1, Iron Man 2008, is actually good. Fucking haters.
Steve Rogers ...I'm not hating at Iron Man 1 lol. I'm simply stating that Marvel has moved away from more mature themes because of Disney's marketing towards kids...no need to be all passive aggressive...
Zatharos You're hating Disney as if she ruined Marvel, when in fact Marvel was nothing before that.
Have to admit Iron Man is the coolest and most badass super hero we have ever had. Love the bit at 2:50 when he shoots the tank missile, does not do anything and he turns arounds starts walking the other way confident it will destroy the tanks LOL.

Rhodey: fell and crippled
Calling this right now: one of the little girls in this scene will be Miss Marvel
Remember when Iron man could take a tank shot and stand without any issues? Now a few fists to the head and it's broken.
You have to remember that that fist is made out of one of the strongest materials on earth.
Jarmo Verriet which character fist?? what the hell are you talking about
nukka200 Winter Soldier's.
nukka200 I'm wondering if we saw the same movie...
Also War Machine should have been just fine falling and landing in a soft dirt field.
Damn, not even Iron Man in Civil War is that awesome!... And this is Iron Man, 8 years ago! What happened?!?!?!?
+I amAldo This suit was more like a walking/flying tank. The new suit is way faster in cqc, has greater weaponry, and able to adapt in h2h. Stark sacrificed some strengths for new ones.
+I amAldo Are You PC bro? (That happened since 2009)
There was a deleted scene that Tony was really banged up from that fight.
He most likely sacrifice the later armors to be lighter instead of having endurance. Prefering speed over defense.
The whole movie was bs no one can punch Ballistic steel & not shatter their fist. Ballistic steel has a rockwell hardness of 60+.
+Someone Else Superhumans can.

+tyson thao 1:26 Iron Man vs. Winter Soldier without plot armor. It's a short fight.
+tyson thao Cap didnt get stronger, he just became a better fighter but I agree
