Clockwork - Philipp Klein (Epic Music / Steampunk Music)

- Clockwork is a steampunk piece and the first track I composed for my epic music album "Legacy". The ticking, clicking and sound of my clock and it's clockwork inspired me for the steampunk rhythm and the musical concept of time. The work title of this piece was "Time" as well, but I changed the name to "Clockwork" later as the previous one was the same as the Hans Zimmer Soundtrack title from Inception. :D

Muchas gracias amigo , puede que lo utilize en futuros proyectos...
A clock is a rather simple object.
That keeps track of something as complicated as time.
Exellent line, bravo!
Well it's really not a simple object (because everything inside is really FUCKING small) but the line is pretty cool so it's ok
@@martialv4168 relativity simple
A clock is a rather complicated object.
It measures length, as would a stick on the ground.
How then to ignore the beauty of something whos simple role requires a minimum of well-machined parts, a ruler which an artisan might exhaust their entire life to perfect and still be off by that ever-infinitesimally-slim margin, it is a crime which I could never fathom to do.
A stick will not shrink over the course of measuring a pyramid. It will not lengthen as you shake it about. With no thought to its design, it is consistant.
A heated clock might be slow. Gravity could make it be fast. Magnetism could disable this ruler entirely. These forces, which you cannot see, can all disrupt a measuring tool's capacity to perform its singular function, and yet a well machined clock persists. Truly, it is the tale of a knight who faced a dragon new every day, every hour, every second of his life...
and emerged, always, victorious.

Niko Alexander the soundtrack for “Dunkirk” was heavily based on a ticking sound , in my opinion one of the greatest movie soundtracks ever made.
That is true
Yes I'm searching so frickin long for good music with clock ticking.

I listened to this song while writing a short story for school... and just this morning, as I gazed at my report card, I could see a shiny "A+"! Thank you so much for the beautiful music, Phillip!! :D
Ooh, I love stories, what’cha write about? :>
@@jalaiclay6843 Ooooh, Nice!!! Well, it's kind of a strange concept... I wrote about a young woman who has her entire life force connected to a beautiful, golden clock! The main antagonist ends up stealing said clock, and the entire story revolves around her trying to get it back, while simultaneously trying to keep him from destroying it... it was super fun to write! XD

That is in the top 3 quotes of all time without a doubt.
We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.

1:06 When the Tsarevich returns
We all are a clock. Our heart beats. Endless. Restless. Until the day comes where it comes to the last beat. This is the day our time is up.
Not gonna lie, everyone who writes all these beautiful lines into the comments make me tear up. I always found the gentle ticking so soothing even though time ticks life away. Time is a curse, yet so beautiful. The time of our lives runs out and the only way to keep track of it, is to have a look at a clock. A mechanical device with beautiful details and its insane precision that shows us how the time runs out of our lives.
Why is this era of science, power and principle so easily overlooked? This piece and a few others are perfect examples of how this style of music could be expanded upon into wonderful pieces like this. Good on you sir for such a magnificent overture.
Thank you :)
WHY THE HELL DO FORTNIGHT VIDEOS GET MORE VIEWS THEN THIS MASTERPIECE?!?!?

Philipp Klein - Composer it’s deserved. That’s why. It makes me feel a lot of different things... I like it
It's funny because I'm here from fortnite. The end event, one of the soundtracks for that event had a clock ticking beat. But i agree with you.
its pronounced forknite

This song is simultaneously one of the most beautiful and anxiety inducing songs I've ever heard. Maybe I shouldn't be listening to it during finals week.
There's just something fascinating about hearing clocks sound in an orchestra.
The felling of your life and time as well as the ever unknown future *fills you with DETERMINATION*

This was in my high school play, and I really wanted to find it because it gave me writing vibes! And I finally found it!
This... Is beautiful...
The integration of the clock ticking, winding it up, and seemingly to adepts its speed to which speed the clock is ticking.
This is, in my opinion, a masterpiece.
If steampunk had a theme song, it would be this. This is the first song that I found that fits this aesthetic so well without sounding too fantasy like
Remain calm.
The regent endures.
Alexei lives.
The Holy Russian Empire shall endure.
There is much work to be done.
Omg he didn’t like yours I don’t think he likes Russians.

Using this to write a dystopian novel.
That's so cool. I would love to read it once it's finished! 📖
You might also like my track which is just called "Dystopia". It was inspired by George Orwell's 1984. 🎶
Oh my god, thank you.
listen to Verify your clock and Burgundian lullaby for that dystopian feel.
@@PhilippKleinMusic I kind of want to use this for my new series Maghexia: Spiriti Unite!
@@firewarrior9999 What's yours book about?
A bit of an adventure: You are walking through a dense forest, the sun barely touches your skin. You suddenly hear the distant ticking of clocks and movement of gears. You investigate and emerge to an open field. Two one eyed machines the size of skyscrapers are buried in a nearby cliff, yet ahead of you, you see a spherical head, no life left in its only eye. Suddenly, the eye glows a brilliant yellow, as the ticking grows louder. The figure's clockwork arm rises from the earth. The machine is getting up. Gears clicked and circuits connected, until finally, a rust covered clockwork machine, the size of the other two robots, was awake.
That's just what I pictured when listening to this.
bro this is so underrated
Now I need to read a story based on this.
This captures perfectly the feeling of the day you turn 30.
Alexei, where are you?!?!
this would make for an awsome video game trailer soundtrack :D beginning reminds me of solkriegs lavender town remix
This is my first song I heard from you and I’ve been playing it over and over because it has a good beat and rhythm to it, the winding and of the clock and each instrument complimented each other in a harmonious way. I love orchestral music and this one is no different, but it does stand out as being a steampunk themed song and I played it while my family were having family bonding time and they dug it, both my parents loved the sympathy of instruments coming together and creating a very good steampunk feel to it, so you earned yourself a fan. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Maddy! Check out the extended version - there's an additional passage in it 😁🙌
Philipp Klein - Composer

I've been looking for obscure, strange music like this; thank you!
This track has helped me with my writing on a series. My second story arc is dark/steampunk themed. I got a lot on the ancient archives chapter.
imagine: - A little boy who can imagine his world and build it around him: castles, belltowers and cities, in that world he has a lot of friends and good people who care for him. but he is growing and as he is becoming a teenager his world starts to crumble and disappear. he has to stop time to save this wonderland but if he does the real world wich he lives in with his so loved parents will stop too -
Thanks for this, have a beautyful life
It was beautiful, really. Those hands ticking down. Stephan could watch it forever, winding the little clock up every time it showed any signs of slowing. And outside, the world changed, grew, died and was born again. He didn't care. All that mattered were those ticking hands.
That moment when you hear this and own a watch that looks straight out of a steampunk movie.
Time is the most complicated and mysterious thing in the universe. Some say it does not exist but controls the existence of all things.
I keep a pocketwatch on my desk, a Gruen model from the 1920s, a guild model. I wind it up whenever working on something difficult.
The song opens a gateway to time and creativity.
Where your creativity can change the world.
All it takes is a little bit of Time.
My steampunk obsession has been taken a step further, thanks for this amazing masterpiece! It’ll definitely help to keep me inspired with more ideas for my fandom!
I'm currently writing my steampunk book and was looking for good soundtracks for it, everyone was good, but this one is just gorgeous.
Well guess who appeared, huh?) 3 chapters done, still a lot of work to do, but hey, I love my book and of course will keep writing it. 😊

I think this song is simply WONDERFUL. EPIC AND PERFECT....
When the clock strikes 12 I return to 802,701 A.D. This time I save dear little Weena.
This was absolutley fantastic! Marvelous.
clock sounds in music scores really do a thing for me. its just so pleasant to listen to, and calming as well.
A clock is such a powerful tool with the ability to alter the world by just looking at it.

I love this song so much! I’m starting another music project and I will base it off of clocks and steampunk styles; thank you for this amazing piece and ideas! 🎶👍
This is truly beautiful to listen to! Your use of clock sounds as the transitions and background metronome just add so much more to this piece. Very amazing if I may say so, I only wish I found this video sooner.
It would be great if there were an extended version of this. I could listen to it for hours.
This is amazing! The winding gears are a really nice touch.

I was waiting for you, Alexei....
I'm imagining this as the theme for some story involving an enchanted pocket watch that can be use to speed, slow, stop, or reverse time depending on what combo of dials the person uses.
I heard the first few seconds of this and immediately got an idea for a story

This piece of music is perfect for one of my D&D character's baclstories.
This is waaaaay too underrated and I know it's old, but I only recently discovered this and I'm glad I did
There is a story manifesting in my mind listening to this music.
Had a Scottish ancestor with 7,000 clocks in his house. Thanks for creating the song.
Beautiful and powerful, You did it very well!
Would you believe me if I said that this perfectly fits the intro to a video game I'm writing? I haven't even heard it before.
We see the owner of a manor get ready for a walk out in the rain. He contemplates whether or not to bring a certain ring, and the screen splits into two, where one version takes the ring and one version doesn't. Through some short scenes and narration, we see that bringing the ring that day leads to a murder.
Then the clock rewinds (0:57) and we're back in his bedroom. He hasn't yet taken the ring and the narrator asks what it is that causes us to choose one thing rather than another. We're transported through his forehead into a maze of clockwork representing his brain. As the camera flies around the machinery, the narrator is making us question whether we have any semblance of free will.
Then the camera flies into a smaller section where we find the title card. (2:30)
Then it moves upward, backward, and zooms out, showing us a pocket watch held by a butler. We fly backward into his eyes. He is standing in front of the manor. You can now control the butler.
It's a murder mystery focusing on clockwork, magical watches and a limited form of time travel.
If I ever make it a reality, I want this song to play in the introduction.
