All this ancient artifacts are what make possible my pasion, making animation films.
Back in 2010 Irene Iborra and I made a zoetrope mixed with an instrument and a washing machine. We called it Carritropo:

i dont know if you could but i think it would be really great if you could make a video where you make a cheap ball in socket armature that doesn't require special tools to make, so people that want a good armature to start stop motion animation but don't want to pay a lot for one can make their own?
It is a good topic, I have in mind something to do about it, it's posible to make armatures just with common tools, just more tedious and imprecise. Let me think.

Love your videos. Both inspiring and discouraging... I do cheap miniatures and stop motion in my tiny shop. Taking any advice from here typically means around step 2 I need to : find the nearest amazing, massive, fully stocked machine shop with industrial machining tools and then drill into your metal scraps you found in the alley. What about with regular peoples’ tools? A vise, a drill, some clamps, saws? How do you have access to that kind of machine shop? does stop motion really pay that much on its own?

+Mucin Yun it is not only the materials but the tools. Steel, aluminium, brass depending on the function and relarionship of each part.

Please, can you tell me what is the white thing in the centre of wheel? Is it a piece of paper?
White, there is nothing white. In the center there is a motor, an axis, the cilinder that holds the rods and a blue thick paper cilindrical to hide the armatures of the other side and make easy to see the animation.
