So, I've just got a few possible mistakes on my part I'd like to address. 1) The grapple system I mentioned could be totally wrong. I just remembered hearing the game functioned that way from some video a long while ago. But, after going through the footage and watching other Origins videos, that may not be the case. I don't really know, but I am still pretty confident the system is different. 2) I didn't mention getting to Alfred in the destroyed Batcave because it was really easy and the segment would have been almost pointless/not have flowed very well. Unfortunately, that was also part of the footage I lost, so I can't technically prove it, but it was possible to get to Alfred without gliding, it just took a little jumping on some rocks near the Batmobile. 3) I'm actually fairly certain it is possible to complete Arkham Origins without gliding. I watched a 100% speedrun the other day and it looked to me like gliding was never necessary. That said, I still won't be doing that video, mostly because I'm just too proud of this video to make this a 2-parter where the second part is mostly uneventful (hence why I'm not making a separate video for CCH). 4) There is no 4, but anyone seeing this clearly cares about my content, so I want you to decide which challenge I do next. Reply to this comment and let me know if I should do another no-glide run of a currently secret game or another Arkham City challenge with a currently secret parameter. lol don't try to attempt gotham knight because it gives you 2 characters without capes, but if you want you can try to not glide with characters with capes

I remember doing this challenge last summer. I got all the way to the Firefly fight but for whatever reason my game glitched out and Batman turned into Joker with the Red Hood helmet after I died during that fight and no matter how many times I restarted the game refused to return me as Batman. I was on PC and had actually just turned my glide speed to 0 using console commands, so maybe that had something to do with it but I was seriously pissed because I had legit flashbacks to the lift area you struggled with in this video.
Well if only there was a mod that makes batman do no damage until you reach combo 5 / 8 Or if you could damage enemies only when doing crit. Strikes And in stealth/predator sections You could do only beatdowns... (Beatdown strikes will give you the yellow number to do tkdowns, And more importantly...any damage)

I’m not sure if you already know this about the drop trick in the Pipeway of Pain segment at 15:02, but the reason that it failed the first time is because you didn’t hold forward when doing it. From the tests I did, holding forward when dropping makes you grab the ledge every time, while not holding forward causes you to miss the ledge every time.
Another reason I think arkham origins stealth is harder is because enemy detection is way higher. I got seen in a section where it automatically hid you from enemy sight, and standing up drew the attention of like 30 armed guys when i was already behind something. Another example is while I was flying, two snipers that were looking down saw me in the air. Sure they were facing the same direction, but they were looking through a sniper scope, downwards.

Regarding the glue grenade vs electrified water I imagine the issue would be the grenade part not the glue. The electricity could short them out so they don’t deploy the stuff.

Ok so I was just playing origins for Xbox and at the same place as the collapsed deck at 6:33 I had done a running jump to the single pole sticking out of the water then jumping of of that to the platform with no gliding.
With the Spider-Man tech in the GCPD section, if you kept the enemies alive on the edge would you bet able to drop on them or does it go into a glide motion?
That’s actually a really good question. I think with how close you get with that strategy, it would turn into a drop attack. If I remember next time I play Origins, I’ll have to give that a try.
Man... I know you arent a fan of the Fromsoft games but I cant help but think that you'd have a ton of fun doing a Batman themed fist or fist weapon only challenge for one of them. Especially if you did Elden Ring because it is more accessible than some of the others even if it has some straight up BS moments
Correct, but that was for experimentation, which I don't count. Only the final clip of me getting through without gliding counts towards the challenge.

That was a practice attempt that I rectified by immediately grappling back to the initial location. I did not glide on the actual attempt as the footage shows.

I honestly couldn't tell ya. I would assume it's backwards compatible, or maybe on the PS store, but I'm still back a generation of consoles.
