PVC pipe is your friend. You could have used PVC pipe and pipe fittings to create "bones" for the GNK legs. I am going to make a 1/3 scale GNK to use as a datapad charger. Yes, I will put a real mobile phone power bank to make this actually functional, and a good little companion for my Droid Depot hybrid C/R type droid.
