This passion project remains such an integral part of my life, that I can never seem to let it go
I noticed alot more other Persona 3 Movie videos circulating on CZcams and figured now would be a good time to reupload our project for the world to see once more.
This in no way means that ThePersonaProject will be picking the project back up (At least for now)
But for now, I wish to thank from the very bottom of my heart the cast of this project, the many people who auditioned for this many years ago, and the people who to this day still follow and message ThePersonaProject on Facebook
It is a bit melancholic that we were never able to continue the project, but perhaps that can change with a whole new cast and determination, no promises though.
But get ready to burn that bread, because I've been waiting for this (To reupload the movie LOL)

I am especially struck at the train scene where Junpei realizes his reality. The emotions portrayed hit real hard.
Absolutely, when he gave me those lines and I heard it, I had to tell him how much I loved it and how glad I was to have him as my Junpei
We're actually really good friends too, been voice acting together for over a decade.
I think out of all the cast here, Junpei was my most favorite, he nailed his personality, not to mention that is pretty much his personality irl as well haha

Makoto is so lovable with an English VA, sounds deadly, everyone else shouts out their persona’s “POLYDEUCES” and Makoto is just like “orpheus” with his blank stare, it really makes his character more unique, also I prefer Takeba’s voice in this fan made dub than her actual voice, I just feel her in game voice is too well “off putting” is the nicest way to say it.
Anyway this fan dub is brilliant and I could go on for hours why it is, I wish I had seen this sooner, it really makes me wonder what Atlus could’ve done with this themselves.
It was hard to sound so monotone being a voice actor that exaggerates every expression LOL
And I admit as well, I definitely prefer the Takeba in this fandub as it really suits a high school girl who went through the trauma of losing someone, the original dub didn't convey that well enough to me personally.

I can’t even begin to imagine all the hard work that went in to dubbing this. It truly is an honour to experience the end result. The lines were delivered wonderfully, I specifically adored Junpei’s realisation on the train. Splendid work! 😊

Yeah.. especially love how fitting Yukari's voice and attitude.. tho, the MC's voice sometimes a bit too quiet, it's hard to hear at times..
You guys did such a fantastic job, I didn't even realize that this was a fandub when I just blindly picked the dub one! I finished it and went looking for dub #2 and was sad that there wasn't one available. Someday maybe 🤞

I am blown away, as a long time fan I loved the movies, but was sad at the lack of a dub planned. This dub is so close to the professional level, the editing is great, and even the parts that I see as flaws or mistakes lend their own into making this one of the most memorable fandubs I have ever seen of any media.
The voices felt weird at first but I like how natural it is, nothing is forced... i think. I like your project you made. I hope I would see more of it.

Criminally underrated project, so glad the people in this project found success, too bad that means they can't come back to continue this project. I could totally see this project blowing up with the recent hype for a Persona 3 Remake in the making, imo you should take the opportunity while it's here!

My first experience of P3 not realizing it was a fandub at the time but the line makoto delivers at 19:30 has stuck with me ever since as an example of how much more he would add if he wasn't a silent protagonist and was instead was characterized by how much he was indifferent about death.
This dub.... it's excellent! Honestly hope you make it far into the voice acting world! This is awesome!

Oh man i can't express how much i love this FanDub, from the really accurate emotionless voice for makoto to how much Junpei's Voice Actor fits his character and all the tense and emotional scenes being portrayed amazingly.

I watched the entire thing and at some point I forgot it was a fan dub I loved it so much, the voice of the main protagonist was incredible especially during fight scenes, though I do have one small nitpick sometimes the microphones for some characters (Yukari or Junpei) would go a bit high pitched but overall great work and I will be glad to join you guys some day as well as watch some more of your projects when the time comes.

Hey everyone, this is my main youtube channel where I produce content for anime analysis/video essays
I just wanted to pin a comment here to preface on a few things about this videos reupload and other nuances with the direction in which the project was taken.
1. The reason I reuploaded the project is because I noticed all the movies were uploaded on youtube without being removed, this lead me to test whether or not I could keep the video up for others to see in higher quality than what we had on Facebook and other websites. More importantly this is a project I have grown too attached to simply let it be in the position that it was in, the amount of effort, determination and help from fellow friends, colleagues, and acquaintances; not to mention the amount of work put in by myself as a single person (Scripting, Directing, Editing, Mastering, ETC...) were far too much to simply let the video itself not recirculate.
2. Yuki Makotos inflections and emotional conveyance was a direction choice I made to replicate the emotional capability that he has in this movie as an empty slate, and to sound similiar to the subs version of Makoto. So I do apologize in advance if there are some who think that I may not be putting my effort or trying to "VOICE ACT" the character, its truly intentional.
3. We kept all the honorifics as they were also kept in the English translation on PS2
4. At this very moment, there are no plans to continue this project, but depending where the video goes in regards to retention and feedback may or may not bring the project back to life, but I can make no promises. If the project were to come back it would require alot of changes to the cast, as some of the cast members here are now professional voice actors and cannot be apart of a project that can damage their reputation and professionalism as a voice actor.
5. The Unofficial ending credits song used in the original upload was immediately taken down due to copyright, as such I had to switch the song from Chronus by "Asriel" to White Feather by "Asriel"
6. In this reupload, I made some changes to the visual quality in comparison to the original, such as disabling resampling and finding a higher quality version of the movie, in order to somewhat meet the current standards of visual quality that people expect today. I was unable... or rather chose not to redo the credits roll as it would've taken too much work, so the original visual blurs will be in there, I do apologize
To this very day, I get notifications on the group and page of ThePersonaProject praising its production and asking about the 2nd movies completion, I wished to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for keeping this project in my memory that people out there did find it wonderful, and wished for more.

@@agatsumare1846 I made sure to credit everyone who was in the dub, as the credits were made 7 years ago before they were professional, so some of the people named in here are professional now but some may be an alias.
I honestly thought this was offical, their were some VA that sounded effy but that seemed to be more so an equipment issue rather then a voice acting issue.
Oh I do hope u keep going with this I would Watch all of the movies if you do it

This is pretty well done! I like it. Especially for the time you originally made this. Fandubs with decent audio and sounddesign were sort of rare back 7 years ago.
I will admit it was really hard finding this kind of quality back then, especially when CZcams was not nearly as big as it is now.
But I have always been extremely critical on my work, and with such a large scale project that I worked on day and night, every day for 5 months straight, it had to be something I would personally want to see from other productions.

This is impressive for a fandub. It keeps to the tone that the game had but it'S a shame that the other films never got done. They need it done someday whether that's official or another fandub.
I understand what it would take for it to be done with the professional voice actors again but hopefully one day this project picks up as with the newer equipment out there and some tweaks to the way the voices are recorded would make these some of the best unofficial dubs ever.

I really like Ikutsuki's VA, and Akihiko's sounds a lot like Logan Llidlow (Bleach S abridged's Ichigo :P) which fits weirdly well :D Shinji is spot on, though! :D
One thing I would change: the first station announcer (right before the dude throws himself in front of a train) is a bit too sultry-sounding. I think he should've sounded a bit more like the in-train announcer. It's a detail, though ;)
Also, absolutely no knock on ms. Macdonald, it's just a really big task to re-voice someone after Tara Platt voiced them :P
Also you can hear the VA's youth in Igor, perhaps someone older, or doing an "older"-sounding voice could've worked better.
Actually when we were in the middle of the 2nd movie, I had Makoto say the line "Personal space" I had it uploaded as a teaser (The beginning of the 2nd movie)
I had to change the personal space line due to lip flaps lol
