      sure - the battery gets hot then triggers the system to be like "oh I'm a little toasty!" then you swap the battery and it's all like "oHHhhhh that feels gooOOOOoood" and then it will cool the internal temp of the camera... I'm not a scientist but this is how I interrupt how it works 👨🏼‍🔬🔬🧪

    Good video and completely agree with the: you buy the small camera to use as a small camera, not build a studio cine setup. It gives you mucht more candid footage to walk around with something people don't take very serious. The E1 is excellent for video, if you want a photo option: have a look at the A7CII, that Ai AF is really nice to have.

    It's just a shame they put that low-res screen on it and all their cheaper bodies, sadly.
    With the A6700 you have a decent EVF at least... I had a ZV-E10 for a bit, but the low res screen meant I did miss focus sometimes in manual and couldn't tell til I got back. It also wasn't great when it was bright outside to be honest.

    • @dandobi
      @dandobi  Před 4 měsíci

      hey dude! WELLLLL I mean ... in comparison to other monitors, sure, it could be considered "less than" however if you're not comparing it directly, it's still a really decent monitor!

    •  Před 4 měsíci

      @@dandobi I think it's objectively bad. Just looking it up the RX100 had a 1.2million dot screen back in 2012, 12 years ago, and that wasn't great for focus. Putting a LOWER resolution one on a two thousand quid camera in 2024 is a bit of piss take IMO 😂 really trying to squeeze that margin!

I use my A7VI for 80% video and 20% photo, but for video, I mostly use 24fps 90% of the time and 60fps 10% of the time. However, I want to trade it for a more compact camera for everyday carry. • @dandobi
      @dandobi  Před 7 měsíci

      Hey! okay so ... it's the SAME sensor so image for image, you're going to have the same exact "look". I think the ZV-E1 has better AF, slightly better with IBIS. In my opinion, this has more features than the a7siii however doesn't have an EVF (monitor for your eye). Also, a7siii has more customizable buttons on the body which might be useful but not really be a huge deal. Honestly, I think ZV-E1 is the way to go. Save money, smaller body, newer tech. Thanks for the video! When you shoot in slog3, do you use flexible ISO, such as 640-something for good light situations and 12800-something for low light? Or do you try to stick to the base ISO? In vlogging situations, flexible ISO is very important to me. Do you have any suggestions? Also, when I shoot in 12800 in low light, I still feel like I'm missing that buttery quality. Do you have any preferred settings for low light? Thanks in advance.

    • @dandobi
      @dandobi  Před 6 měsíci +2

      Hey there! When I shoot in S-Log 3, I always TRY and shoot at the native Iso's if and when I can. If i'm in a pinch, and the sun is BLASTING and for some reason I don't have ND, I will jump down to flexible iso's and just eat it. normally, this would only be the case for personal stuff or social content but if I'm on a job-job, I will really make it a point to land at 640. As for 12,800 -- it's not "set it and forget it", you still need to have your exposure correct and it's a little more sensitive here than it would be at 640. The second you underexpose at 12,800 your lack-of-butter may appear, but in my experience, i actually LOVE 12,800 and have no issues with it at all (rewatch the low light section of the video for more examples of 12,800). Hope this helps! : )
