  • Eddie recites the frightening tale of what happens when two farmers from Quin in Co. Clare interfere with the Good People who called Corbally fort their home. On an October's evening, Pat and Sean were returning home from an unproductive day's hunting. On glimpsing a goose on the grounds of the fort, a rifle shot rang out and the two men thought their hunting luck was improving. What they didn't realise was the true nature of the beast they had just injured, and the retribution that would follow their actions. This tale is taken from Eddie's recently republished story collection entitled 'The Man In The Big House'.

Well I went on Google Earth, took me a little while but I found a Large Double Fort just outside Corbally Co Clare and Tulla up the road, ( where the doctor lived ) I tell you with respect to Her, if Biddy Early mentioned to people or warned them to stay clear of this Fort I surely would listen. / Eddie knows the truth, I 100% believe Eddie, I have had several very weird experiences over time, but I will only tell Eddie, Some day this year if it is not a bother we will meet. I am often in Clare, Thank you Eddie and thank you, who ever uploaded this. I just love listening to the Great Man.

Welcome back and happy new year!! I'm from Italy and I know many Italians moved to the US around the same time as Irish people. I wonder if there was also a "hidden" reason for them 😧

I grew up near there, never pronounced it ''Corr bally'' it was always known as corb-ly

Yes , in Limerick..not co Clare..

@@eileenbrazil8039 No, it's a different Corbally. There's a small townland near Quin in Co. Clare that's named Corbally, not to be confused with the area located near Limerick City.

What is it that makes them prominent around these hillls (are they timuli's?) Is it down to the belief of the observer or is it something geographical and supernatural?
