Batman hates Superman because his shenanigans in Man of Steel killed a lot of people and he has to be put in check. The entire film is him trying to bring Superman down because he's a threat. Not sure how that is too complicated to understand.
It's not complicated, it's just stupid. Superman saved the whole Earth, so he's a threat, that makes sense.

Yeah Superman wasn't a threat at all. There was lots of collateral damage, but if Kryptonians fought in real life that's exactly what would happen. Governments, especially the US government, cause tons of collateral damage all the time.
Batman's idiot logic was "what if Superman became evil", I mean that applies to anybody, and this is a universe with mega threats Superman would be vital against. Humanity would be gone if not for Superman already.
Batman's logic was preposterous, and the Martha thing was stupid as fuck. Batman is so convinced of his dumb logic he's willing to kill the world's greatest hero, and all it takes to change his mind is their mom's have the same name? You can't take that seriously.
Solan K it’s not that they have the same name. It’s that Batman has up until that moment, refused to see Superman as a human, yet the fact that he has a mother with a normal name forces him to do that.
Also Batman is afraid Superman will go off the deep end and kill a bunch of people.

Yes, that seems confirmed by behind-the-scenes info. I mean, at one point, Dylan's construction worker turns his helmet around onstage to become Denise's Pizza worker's little boy, so I presumed that this was a similar situation, with Chris Allen removing the mask to act as Alfred for a moment. But, no, it's not a character shift, but an indication that perhaps all of Chris Allen's characters are the same guy.

I think the guy that played Sweet Tooth is just phenomenal. Of course everyone in this is amazing, but he was just perfect. He's so quirky in the right way to be a crazy funny villain. That actor should just be in as many things as possible, and of course Joe and Brian and Nick and Lauren and Goyle :)

Well this was just fantastic. I like that it took influence from all eras of Batman. The costumes and campiness of the whole thing was a lot like Adam West Batman. The villians and puns were from the god awful so bad there great Joel Shumacher movies, and then they also took a bunch from Dark Knight Nolan Batman. Particularly Batman's and Alfred's voices. That was a really good and more importantly funny Michael Caine impression and then he did an Irish and Chinese accent on top of the Michael Caine= Sheer Brilliance. Also Sweet Tooth is the best thing ever. It's like if Carrey's Riddler, Arnold's Freeze, and Ledger's Joker all had a baby. Hey does anyone know the name of the guy who played Sweet Tooth? I didnt quite recognize him from other shows.

this video is the reason why Brian Holden deserves a fucking tony award. The look on his face when Batman tells Gotham that Superman saved the day. The fuckin tenderness in his eyes, the surprise, the awe. Every time I watch this goddamn beautiful musical, I convince myself that I'm not going to cry at these fckin nerds in tights and their stupid puns. But that look gets me every single time.
