I’ve been working in sports retail in the Chicago market for a long time, and so many people buy counterfeit jerseys and try telling me “it’s real because it has a fight strap” even though they will clearly be wearing a Chinese made knock off. The retro CCM jerseys are getting straps and will be sized in chest size also. They have 1958 Blackhawks Ccm jerseys like this as the United center store this year.

      @@hanojekcim yeah, honestly with jerseys there generally gonna fir unless your going like 2 sizes down from your normal t-shirt size,
      basically if you go true to size, up 1 size or down 1 size I think most people arent gonna have body fit issues the main differences will be how long of sleeves you need.
      I'm 6'4" and 175ish lbs, I wear size L in everyday clothing, sometimes XL in jackets, sweaters... I brought a size 50 medium adi jersey and it fits me pretty great.
      the sleeve length could be a bit longer for my height, but the body width/length is near perfect for casual wear over a tshirt, over a hoody it gets a little tight but still fully wearable.
      I think the L, 52 is likely my proper size, but I just ordered a 54 that might be a bit big for casual wear but will make a great pond Jersey and at clearance prices was worth grabbing... at the end of the day if you go to a game wearing a jersey your gonna see ppl of all shapes and sizes in all sizes of jerseys, some too small, too big you'll see it all

    I love my Adidas made Avs jerseys. I hate the Fanatics jerseys. They look so cheap and awful. Now when it comes to Adidas vs Reebok jerseys... on the Avs jerseys... the chest and shoulder logos is just heat pressed on and just flat looking. On the Adidas jerseys they're fully stitched and move better with your body, especially when you're sitting. Yeah, I don't get the point of the top pressed in circles other than maybe adding textured look to it. Draw back, they're thinner, they have more mesh panels... so when I leave the Pepsi Center at night during winter in Colorado don't expect them to keep you warm. Which is also why I call them a jersey, not a sweater... which is why I refuse to call these "sweaters", because sweaters keep you warm and these are not designed to do that.

      Depends. As in , on ebay you can buy from a Canadian ebay seller (like me, benhsports) and ebay/paypal will automatically convert things over to your US dollars. Super easy. If however you are buying from a normal store that happens to be in Canada, then (if they ship to the USA) you typically will pay by credit card. You will pay in Canadian dollars, but your credit card company will convert (and add their fee of course) and your charge on your credit card bill will end up in US dollars ... simply because your credit card is a US dollars credit card account.

Different companies size their jerseys differently from its competitors; authentics and replicas are also sized accordingly to the manufacturers' fitting protocols. I find replicas running smaller than the authentics; I don't know if it's the materials or the stretchiness. Any advice would be appreciated.

    • @Habu12
      @Habu12 Před 6 lety +1

      You're catching on... So if it's a Series 6100 authentic, it'll have the CCM and NHL logos embroidered ALL THE WAY through the hem. This is key. Speaking of the hem, it should be about 2". The fight strap should have a twill rectangle as an anchor, and the stitching should trace the perimeter, and cross in an X pattern. The shoulders should be doubled, and the elbows should have a scuff pad sewn in. You're quite correct that the fabric is the dense Ultrafil type. But both 550s and 6100s can both use Ultrafil. The 6100s will have a heavier weight, however. Each team specified whther they wanted Ultrafil, Air-Knit, or Air-Mesh (only NYR used Air-Mesh). The Ducks used Ultrafil. Lastly, neck tags. ALL authentics are sized by number. There should be a tiny, square tag that says the size number (44,48,52,54,etc..). The manufacturer tag should not show a size at all. If anything it'll say "MAN" or "HOMME". There should also be wide rectangular tag that says "CENTER ICE/MISE AUJEAU" with a blue and salmon colored stripe. Some or all of these tags may be missing, of course. Hope all that helps!

      @Habu12 Před 6 lety +2

      Steve-o Moreno the replica sweaters are the Series 550. Authentics are Series 6100. Those numbers correspond to the weight and grain of the fabric used. The higher number means they have more thread count, are more resistant to shear and are heavier. Thus more suited to actually wear on the ice in a game. Those series numbers came from the original CCM sweaters of the 90s, and Reebok adopted them when they acquired CCM. But rather than using the old series numbers, they named it Premiere and Edge respectively.

      Caveat emptor on the eBay sales. You gotta do your own investigating before you buy. My best practice is to ask pointed, specific questions of the sweater you’re looking at, unless what you see is a slam dunk. For example, I just got a Bruins authentic Starter sweater for $45. It had all the marks of an authentic, and it was unequivocal. Now I won’t know until I actually have it in my hands if I was right, but if there’s any doubt, ask the seller. Ask for pics. If they’re iffy about any of it, thank the seller and walk away.

      Rick Gonzalez ya it sucks because when I buy an authentic I expect it to be what the players wear on the ice,court or field. For the price difference you’re better off just getting the “authentic” because they don’t cost that much more then the fanatics replicas. Also if you want a player on your jersey and not a blank jersey, buy the blank one then get it sent in to get stitched separately because for some reason when you buy the authentics from Adidas with the name and numbers on it already it comes as that single layer crap instead of double stitched. Another reason why adidas is screwing its customers.
