Hyundai IONIQ 5 N - YES! EVs can be FUN!

  • The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N is one of our most anticipated cars in recent months! Even the regular IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 are pretty good to drive in the EV category. However, the first electric car of the Hyundai N division is, as expected, sensational. In terms of driving fun, it has no rivals in the current world of EVs. Power modulation, weight control and traction work is brilliant for such a heavy car. We are really looking forward to a full test on public roads! Enjoy a quiet and fun ride with our video from track!

Hyundai should really provide like an app store where you can download different sounds and engine behaviours, it would be soooo good. Imagine changing from LFA V10 to Turbo Rotary in seconds, just take the sounds from Assetto corsa or Gran Turismo 😅.

Funny that automakers are finding ways to make pagan cars fun and engaging to drive. As it stands now these single gear BEVs cannot impress on their own without gimmicks. ICE sports cars spoke for themselves and people over the decades became drawn to them. With pagan cars anybody can order motors then marry them to a comically large battery pack. The only good thing about BEVs is that the entry to performance is so low that normal people experience what speed and good acceleration is like for cheap. A proper hybrid uses 1.8kw battery pack and could have a transmission with about 32-45mpgs. One ev has 75-90kw battery lol. You could produce 40 hybrids with the batteries of one ev. Hybrid suvs can use nickel hydride batteries for heavier applications and more harsh climates. The whole thing is a joke and they are giant disposable cell phones. The battery degrades by 40% or more in 10 years if you use it till its dead and charge all the way. Unless you follow the gremlin rules of battery packs. Its a shame that common sense died in y2k. I know this because i own several evolve longboards and electric bikes. They all need new battery packs after 5 years sometimes less. Now they sit as ornaments in my garage. Also if you store your car outside in snow or extreme hot sun. That affects the performance and battery greatly. The degradation as well.
