Colonel Tom Parker did more to ruin Elvis’s life and career than any one else, IMO. Elvis could have done so much more and probably had a much longer life, IMO if he had terminated Parker decades before he did.
It’s so funny my husband and I are in our 70’s and every night my husband does the Freddie Flintstone foot movement to get into to bed 😂🤣 and when I say come on Freddie he say ok Wilma and have you put the cat out 🤣😂 I loved the Flintstones
@@anneroy4560 I was just saying if I could go back in time I’d rather live when we didn’t have all the ‘JETSONS’ technology and back to more simpler….didn’t like the tv show THE HONEYMOONERS..Jackie Gleason and Art Carney were prestigious actors, but I did not like the way he yelled all the time..even as young girl watching the reruns, just did t like it…my mom yelled a lot like that….
Harry doesn't understand or appreciate the significance and the hard work of others who built something despite starting from nothing. He's never had to work for anything, so how would he? He's graceless and unappreciative of the privilege he has.
My favourite was the garbage disposal. Wilma opened the bottom cupboard and there sitting was the was a Dino eating the garbage. Great remembering fun childhood memories.
I loved how they used the animals for different household functions. I remember the bird they tipped so his beak would play records. With all the complaining about the environment, we’ll probably end up with Flintstone cars.
My friend just returned from a trip to Nashville, and they toured Graceland. They said it was a smaller sized mansion by today's standards, but it would take at least four days to go through it all because it was so packed with history about Elvis and his life. Even if you weren't a fan, they highly recommended it. Anyone who would insult someone's life, who made such an enduring legacy, doesn't understand or appreciate history. It's no wonder the significance of Graceland went over those two's heads.
Oh yea Elvis was and always be the king of Rock and Roll !! I live about 25 miles from where Elvis was born in Tupelo Mississippi. I wished his twin would have lived can you imagine 2 ❤ Big wave 👋 👋 👋 Neil and everyone
The Flintstones is one of the great cartoons. I loved Bullwinkle & Rockie; Dudley DoRight; The Jetsons; and of course Bugs Bunny, and Warner Bros cartoons. Neil, thanks for another great story taking us down memory lane.
I loved the Flintstones! I loved Pebbles & BamBam! Yes, Ann Margaret was brilliant! She must be cringing knowing that Meghan also went to Northwestern University...well, Meg only lasted until the sorority gluing of the eyelid incident. Insane & evil even back then.
Sorry but plenty of photos of Meghan graduating, doesn't say much for the university mind you given how totally ignorant she is, especially as she graduated after doing their international politics, or whatever they called it, course. She is NOT a good advertisement for that university at all.
Hi Neil. Do you remember the Lodge of Loyal Water Buffalos with their hats, greetings and hand shakes? When the Water Buffalo hat came out you knew Fred and Barney were up to something and Wilma and Betty were not going to like it. I loved when the ladies were upset and took the credit cards holding them up high and yelling "Charge" as they ran into a store. The Flintstones are great.
I grew up right up the interstate from Memphis so Elvis was huge at our house. When I was a senior in high school we saw him in concert in Memphis in 1974. Several years later we toured Graceland when I was pregnant with my youngest and she ended up being born on his birthday.😄😊👋🏼
Aw I’m sorry that Elvis never got to do the Flintstones. We all loved them ❤. Fred catching bees in a clamshell so he could shave 😂. Much loved indeed. ♥️🇨🇦
When we were kids my dad took us to see the Harlem Globetrotters in person. Flinstones and Jetsons were some of my favorites as a child. Neil....you bring back good memories. Feel better...
I loved the Flintstones and my son also watched it when he was a child. I remember Ann Margaret (Ann Margrock). Loved the Jetsons too. So many great shows in the 1960’s. I Dream of Jeanie, Betwitched, Hogan’s Heroes, Get Smart. Beverly Hillbillies, and so many more. Those were the days before PC.
We watched the Flintstones regularly when I was a youngster. The two families, goofy Fred, good soul Barney, the bowling nights, the kids and pets, the cars, the ladies’ hairdos, the music…I remember it all.
In Arizona, on the road to the Grand Canyon, you will find Bedrock. It is replicas of Barney & Betty's house, Fred & Wilma's house, the Bedrock Theater that plays The Flintstones cartoons, Fred & Barney's cars, Dinosaurs and the other things we saw in the show. It is a great place to visit if you are a Flintstones fan.
I loved the Flintstones. I also watched the Jetson's; Johnny Quest; all the Warner's cartoons; and Top Cat especially. I think Bea Benadaret who was a big star in "Petticoat Junction" was in the Flintstones cartoon as "Betty" for the first few years of the show.
YES, I loved the Flintstones! I also loved TOP CAT + HONG KING FUEY! As you said Neil, as kids we took the cartoons at face value and just enjoyed the mirth they provided! Its not fair the woke crowd are not letting todays children have the same chances to enjoy 💯🏴🇬🇧
I absolutely love your show Neil, every morning I make a cup of tea grab my phone and watch your show, I love seeing London and you have a great sense of humor... love from Canada 👋❤️🇨🇦
Loved those old cartoons! And I happened to have seen both the Ann Margrock episode AND the Stony Curtis one! The Colonel exed a lot of things for Elvis because of his own greed, and some because he himself had a past to hide.... remember Elvis didn't make it to the UK.... Also because of The Colonel!😔 Yes Neil.. still love the Flintstones!😃👍
Stoney Curtis slave boy for a day. I love the Flintstones and watch them all the time. My favorite episode is Flintstone Christmas, and the movie A Man Called Flintstone. Fred does a good James Bond impersonation. I saw it in the theater when it came out, I was around 6 years old or so. The Beau Brommels also appeared on the show on Shinrock, their version of Shindig. Lots of fun. Also, Scooby Doo, the original. Cheers!👋👋😁
Ann-Margrock, Alfred Hitchrock, James Darren James Darrock, Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York, Cary Granite, Some were voice actors. I can't remember more but I found it so funny what they'd do with the names.
Loved the Flintstones, great fun. I’ve been a radio presenter for 10 years and have only ever played an Elvis song unless requested. It’s not him personally, more the 1950’s music. All genres except rock and roll. Great piece Neil.
Hi Neil ! I loved Bam Bam and Pebbles from The flintstones and The Jetsons. You’re right that the story boards were very well done. I really enjoy your narration of these stories. Harry is a fool to say bad things about Graceland. Just shows how money doesn’t buy manners.
Loved watching the Harlem Globetrotters. They were just amazing. The real ones I mean. 😂 We watched the Flinstones and the kids loved them. They watched the Jetsons too.
I remember being a tiny child and getting to watch The Flintstones with my parents and older sister. I was about 2 or barely 3 years old. Long before Wilma’s baby and Betty’s baby - Pebbles and BamBam. Loved Elvis and Ann Margaret!! Wish Elvis had made it onto Flintstones!!
Thanks for this story about the Flintstones! This show used to be on in the evening when I was a child. After dinner, my dad and I would cuddle on the couch and watch. When I got older, I appreciated the Hollywood guest stars. What a shame Elvis never was one of them.
Flintstones was based on an American TV Comedy Show in the 1950's, set in Brooklyn, NY. "The Honeymooners". Fred is based on the Bus Driver - Ralph Cramden & Wilma on his wife Alice. Barney was based on Ralph's friend who worked down the sewer. They live in a slumb building.

Dr.Nic picked up where the Colonel left off.
He sure did and Elvis remained loyal to him. Sad
