The hustle is so real!! Glad you made it back in time. We did too. We've heard inconsistencies about getting the sauce on the chicken sandwich so if you get a plain sandwich, take it back. They'll exchange it easily. We had a few people tell us about that and it happened to us too.

We were just 10 days ago, and hadn't yet tried Mel's since they reopened. I watched several CZcams videos prior regarding the new menu and such, and we gave it a try. We loved the theming and refurbishment, but our food was really bad. The bacon on my burger was so limp and undercooked that I couldn't eat it. The burger patty was dry (old) and the bun was a bit stale. We tried the new milkshakes, and we really liked them. But the price!!$$$$ We'd recommend Mel's for the experience, but not necessarily the food.

We're with Bear on the chili cheese fries. They are our weakness too! We'll have to try the GF vegan ones on our next trip to Universal!
