An animal just requires feeding, vet bills and/or insurance, and couldn't care less about your professional decisions as long as you put food in the bowl and pellets in the tray.

With our pets it's all about showing lots of love, time + patience which, not always but normally equals trust! Though cuddles are usually on a cat's own terms. I have only ever had strays, 5 in all over the years, my partner + I have loved them all + they have all lived to a good age. You have to put the work in to gain the trust of most strays, after all, why should they trust.! We mangaged physical closeness with 3 but our first was with us for 11 yrs, we + the vet estimated her to be 4 or 5 when she found us. We tried all ways but could never manage more than a gentle stroke down her back while she was eating. She must have had an awful life before she found us. She came in a collar that was too tight for her n we had to go to cats protection to get it taken off. She had belonged to someone before + when we took her to be spayed she had already been done. After the first few weeks she was very relaxed with us but made it very clear she didn't want to be stroked or cuddled but she, (TAMI ) displayed how happy she was in many ways, she did zoomies indoors + often ran vertically up a large tree in our garden, she knew she had found her forever home. It was hard not to be able to cuddle her, she was beautiful, i even dreamt once that i was walking round the house with her in my arms but it was never to be + i settled for how she was. She brought happiness + laughter as all 5 of our cats have + my 3 cuddle cats brought therepy too. I miss them terribly we lost our last 2 in the last year + I still have tearful days. It's hard for me to live without a pet. Would love another one but we are older now + it would have to be a middle aged cuddle cat, as i have health problems + can't stand the thought of leaving him / her behind. I used to have large breed dogs + loved + adored them, they are in my heart forever. It was later that our cats all started to find us.never meant to drone on for so long! Just want to end by saying the relationship between Andrea + Paquito is beautiful +quite unique, they are soul mates xx

I had a cat that loved spooning. I'd tuck him in with me and he'd lay in front of me under the covers with his head on my pillow. I'd basically just spoon-cuddle him, haha. He especially loved this when he was a kitten. It was that or sleeping like a halo curled around my head on the pillow, as he did the first night I got him. I miss him so damn much....

Cats nor Dogs have no conception of time. You could leave for 10 minutes and a pup will greet you like you have been gone a day. A kitty usually does follow or goes away. Clearly, your cat likes to cuddle and finds that behavior very soothing and loving. Beautiful!!❤

This gorgeous cutie has me lost for words! There's cuddle cats + then there's Paquito, he really is the most adorable cuddle cat, i have never known a cat as ready + willing to cuddle as Paquo. All mine have been loved + adored + so spoiled but cuddling has been on their terms. You are so lucky❤
I've been lucky all the cats Ive had in my life were cuddly. I had an amazing cat that would actually hug me and put his arms around my neck. He did that since the day I got him from the pound as an 8 week old kittten.
It works because she spoke to him. If you talk with your cats they learn what you mean. The more you talk to them about concepts they can grasp the more they will understand.

My cat follows me to the bathroom about 99 out of 100 times so she can sit on the counter then after I wash my hands I have to lean down so she can climb on my shoulder and I have to pick her up.. when she was a baby I had to carry her with me all over the house and even got a baby sling for her. What a happy little man 😭❤️ My cat does this. He actually gets mad at me if it’s “past bedtime”. If I manage to stay up (usually sleep early due to work the next day) He screams at me 🤣 and if I go over to see what his deal is he runs towards my room, all excited, looks back at me. If I walk away he follows me and yells. If I go into my room he jumps onto my bed, flops over and waits for belly rubs
I've had so many moments like this with our 2 cats who came into our lives at 4 days old. One passed last year at age 17 and his sister just passed last week at 18. I couldn't be more grateful, and will miss them for the rest of my days.

My cat would follow me screaming to the bathroom and demand to sit on my lap. He literally never left me alone EVER!!!! I miss that.
I've had so many moments like this with our 2 cats who came into our lives at 4 days old. One passed last year at age 17 and his sister just passed last week at 18. I couldn't be more grateful, and will miss them for the rest of my days.
I tell my dogs and cats I will be back,etc. They never believe me. You guys are so sweet.

My cat is a dog. Don’t even have a litter box, he uses the dog door. He sleeps with me every night and doesn’t flinch if you sneeze. Best boy ever 😊
