I wasn't expecting much considering how Hollywood is trashing EVERYTHING these days... But having read every book on Lestat, Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil etc, Sam Reid KILLED it as Lestat.👏👏👏 I dare say Anne Rice (RIP) would be pleased with her L'enfant Terriblé brought to life so wonderfully.👌💞
Rolling said that the reason he did the Immortal universe is because of season 3 where he will work on The Vampire Lestat. OMG he will make Lestat shine… just hope they won’t cancel the show…nowadays so much shows are canceled due to the lack of audience although they have great reviews 🙏

This being my favorite show and becoming absolutely obsessed with it, i am becoming concerned for the future of the series. I tend to be a worrier, but i have recently read stories about AMC Studios having financial troubles. They are having to lay people off and i think i read that an executive resigned. I'm not sure how they're having financial troubles considering the success with TWD, IWTV and others. Maybe well done and successful shows don't always equal profitability. I will be severely pissed if they at least don't get to do a second season. I'm hoping for more.
I am a HUGE Anne Rice fan and I wasn't even sure if I would like the show (I mean....prior to actually seeing it, I was extremely excited for the Queen of the Damned movie and any fans out there know how well that turned out...lmao) and I can honestly say that so far, this show is absolute perfection. I have not a single critique, not a single thing that I've been like "Man, they could have done that better...", nothing. It's the last thing Anne really gave her input on that we've been able to see and I wish to the Gods that she was here to watch this after the great disappointment she was dealt with Queen of the Damned. THIS is the adaptation she always deserved and I hope she's on the other side beaming with pride at how this turned out. Knowing Chris is giving his input still makes me feel like the show is going to just keep getting better as it goes along and I cannot wait for the second season. I wish the greatest success to everyone who made this show happen. They FINALLY did Anne's work justice on the screen. I am re-reading all of the Vampire Chronicles starting with Interview and I was surprised to discover that while I was reading it, I started seeing Lestat not as I have always seen him (not as anyone who ever played him or as Stan Rice but just as himself I suppose?) but as Sam. I couldn't give higher praise to anyone playing Lestat than that.
I have a feeling this took place after the Screenrant interview where Eric accidentally revealed Young Eric cuz of the look Sam and Jacob exchange and Sam trying so hard to hold in his laughter after Eric mentioned the vampire/human dinner. Oh Eric. Our own IWTV Mark Ruffalo/Tom Holland. So excited with no spoiler filter.

At 3.08 Sam literally is getting emotional talking about how much he loves Lestat. It's amazing. We're so lucky to have him in the role ❤
They have great chemistry and I love the changes to Louis, makes him interesting before I thought he was pretty dull
