Great tones here, and great phrasing in your lines. Zendrive is so full and rich and it can make any amp blossom into a tone monster. I have the Zendrive 2 (the one with the tube). It will be with me till the end.
@@wences71 idk what you mean. Zendrive 2 has a tube in it. The other Zendrive 2 is different, it’s solid state. You need to go read some threads on the Godawful TGP or somewhere else and then you’ll know which is which. Basically, Hermida and Lovepedal confused everybody by calling a Lovepedal Zendrive a “Zendrive 2”, when Hermida had already used the “2” designation for his tube Zendrive. (Tube Zendrive is twice as wide as the regular versions, that’s how you can tell the difference. Plus, the tube Zendrive has a little emblem of a tube on it. )
@@wences71 I don’t think the difference is all that much. I’ve actually taken the tube out of mine just out of curiosity to see what it would do, and it still passed a signal through and sounded like a weaker Zendrive. Those Z2 are very expensive now. You can get practically the same sound with a regular. That being said, if you have the dough, buy one, because I don’t think it’s going to ever lose value. I got mine 10 years ago for $330. Would I pay the $800 or higher that some sellers are asking now? Idk. Maybe. But that’s a lot of dough.
Do you put this in "Dumble style" or "Screamer" or "Klon" type territory? I use an AC30 and overdrives can be finnicky with them. I've got the J Rockett Dude for a Dumble style and was curious how this compares to that. The Dude is really cool. I just thought this might get into more Larry Carlton territory with my 335. The Dude loves Strats.
I have an OG zen drive and this one as well. Sound nearly identical but I will keep them both :) Good little demo 😊

@@zenlandzipline actually I was asking about the tube (v2 version) compared with the regular original version (small.one) regarding the sound.
