So,this looks like it only works for the automatic HVAC versions...so....only limited trim? Would not work on a base or premium model it seems.

That I'm not sure. Climate controls might be slightly different
Wonder if this will fit my 2018 Forester XT. It has the same interior as the WRX and majority of the pinouts are the same as a 15-17 WRX
Yeah, it should still work. It also depends on your climate control though. The pins are the same but sometime the canbus is slightly different
Can you show it using android auto? Curious how it handles a vertical display, and if it shows the climate control still.

It wont as 2023 uses the new 11.6-inch screen. I sent email to aucar to inquire about 2022+ WRX support. They said they have something for it but it is still under development and debugging. So just be patient. If they can actually have something for 2022+ WRX, it's gonna fit across all the Subaru newer model like Outback, Crosstrek, Impreza, WRX, Forester, and Ascent, as Subaru are trying to standardize their head unit

This will not fit 2022+ WRX as they use a new 11.6" screen - DENSO CP1.0. The same as 2020 - 2020 Outback and Legacy. For 2022 owners, you guys have to wait for another few years for aucar to have something that fits. Come across this while searching for something that fits 2023 OBW.
Yes, you can trust Aucar. I have their screen on my previous Q50 too. Pretty solid-built screen

This looks ugly and cheap specially then buttons. Would rather go with the doing since it flows better with the molding /dash.
