hey, loved the vid. is it good choice if i aim to buy this for 1-2 hour long podcasts? with dummy batteries ofc. if not what are the best podcast cams in that price range?
I just bought one a month ago, working great so far
I've had my ZV-E10 for almost 2 years. Getting a dummy battery and a capture card make this a live streaming BEAST. I love it for vlogging and it's a great camera to use for interviewing. My lenses that I use are the Sigma 16mm F1.4 at my stream setup and the Tokina 11-18mm F2.8 ATX-M for vlogging/field work

I use it in all my videos! 🙌 The external power supply (chord) is a must for CZcams shooting over the battery. I added the Sigma 16 a couple months ago and it looks great for my small bedroom recording setup. I added the Shure shotgun mic as well so I’m free from lapels or the SM7 in my face 😅
a good lens, lighting and audio go a long way to make any video look pro!
you can film with the camera being powered by a chord plugged in an electrical outlet instead of relying on the batery ? ( sorry im new to this and looking to buy the zve10)

I use this camera to record indoor events and have noticed that my footage is quite greyish and sometimes easily overexposed. Can you recommend some settings that would minimize post-processing?

I loved my ZV-E10, too, but after 2 years of constant (I mean constant and daily use of 10+ hours), the shutter on mine froze, and I went with an a6100. The smaller alpha APS-C cameras have been bulletproof for me (touch wood), I have had a few running for 5+ years.

It doesn't hurt the image quality really at all!
if you would stream 8 hours plus, what kind of cam would you recommend then?

In the future, could you guys share whether or not you're using the lens that comes with the camera on all of the shots? Knowing the lens in the outside shot was helpful. Since it is an interchangeable lens, this would be very helpful information with the indoor shots too.

Please help me, I bought a Dji mic 2 and it’s too quiet Already tried to increase gain of transmitter, receiver, camera settings, everything! Even when I record with the transmitter itself, it’s VERY quiet. I tried on iPhone, canon and transmitter, adjusting gain levels A LOT, follow the Dji recomended settings in their manual. PLEASE somebody helps!
Why would you use the 20mm full frame lens on the zve10?
It is just a very sharp lens that I have always been a fan of! I will often use an 11mm focal length if I want to go really wide though!
Does anyone have a class on how to use this for beginners? I purchase one and struggle to use it. 😢

Yes, 13 hours limit. All new Sonys can do that.
I do agree its a great camera. I went with the nikon z30 over this one for one major reason and its the build quality. The nikon jusy feels a lot better and has weather sealing while the zve10 does not.

Gotta wait for the mk ii, it's got the same senor from the a6700 and fx30! Plus 120p and SLog3, and AI image stabilization!

for video it's like a6400 only cheaper and has some great feats like better AF, better charger over USB (so you can use it with powerbank) etc
a6400 is just hands down amazing, don't be fooled it's slog(2 and 3) are great even without much color grading, just convert it to rec709 and it looks amazing even if it's 8bit. 8bit slog2 or slog3 converted to rec709 looks incredible and will beat any other non log footage in every other camera 100 out of 100 times. trick is to get the white balance right, calibrate it on every scene or if you are in daylight use daylight, cloudy - cloudy, everything else if it's not studio controlled environment with 5500K lights it works ok. also get a decent lens like sigma 2.8 18-50 and use a ND filter, variable one is a great way to get that exposure right. get a grey card, set the zebras to 41% and when zebras show up on grey card you are spot on with exposure, minimal adjustment in post is necessary after that. just a tad more contrast and saturation to taste.
4K on a6400 looks super super sharp. also its super super super small and compact. now every good part about a6400 is even a bit better on zv-e10

Is this camera worh to buy for purely photography?
It is a great camera for photography if you are okay not having a viewfinder to look through! If you need a viewfinder, check out the Sony A6100 or A6400.

It seems like a great camera - but I want one change. In going from zv-1 to the zv-1 ii, Sony moved the cable connectors from in front of the screen when viewing from the front, to the handgrip side. PLEASE SONY move the connectors on E10 mark 2!!!! I want to use the camera facing me with the screen folded out, but having the cables in front of the screen really bugs me.

Yes actually even better. With the usb c u only get 1080p. Via the hdmi output u get the full 4k

@@slpdx I always left the camera on 4k settings. looks great. The extra fps u would get from 1080p doesnt do much in video calls
I’m struggling with grainy footage using the kit lense, anyone have any pointers😪
You might try shooting in manual exposure! First, try keeping your aperture value as low as possible. The kit lens shoots at f/3.5 at its widest open value. Keep it there, keep your shutter speed at 1/50, and your ISO as low as possible! This should help with the grain. If it persists, you need to add more light to your scene :)

if someone were to use this for long streams (4-6 hours) would it be possible to utilise a dummy battery
I have the zv e10 and the dummy battery is a must. I can stream for hours on end, including conference calls with no overheating. I can leave it running over night connected to ecamm live and it is still on in the morning. I highly recommend picking up the dummy battery.

The camera is good for CZcams videos but there are a few issues. The camera with the kit lenses does distort. It is sometimes hard to use in bright sunlight. The menus are terrible. Rolling shutter is a problem. BUT for the money the camera is very good.
I agree with your comments. That’s why I use either the Ciltros 13mm 1.8 or the sigma 18-55 2.8 on a tripod or a gimbal if I need the move a lot. If I don’t want the jitters when moving while clogging, I use Catalysts Browse or video stabilizer in Davinci Studio.

The ZV-E10 would be a great fit for your needs! Plus, it will be a little bit more affordable than the ZV-E10 Mark 2 when that comes out.
Agreed. I started filming with my cell phone. While my Galaxy’s and iPhone are great camera phones, in my opinion the ZV E10 is a huge step up in video quality and can afford you a little more leeway in post production. The price currently is also insane. If you need a camera now I would go for it. From what I’m hearing Sonys product cycle is every four years, which I’d inferred means the Mark 2 will come out in 2025.

man the more the hype on this camera the harder it is for the price to drop. Maybe a year after it came out i was able to get this camera at a pawnshop for $300 with a sigma 16mm f1.4. Now i see people selling the bodies only for $500-700. not saying it aint worth it, it's just not depreciating like it should.
It is the best. ZV1F is a toy and there's no comparison. I've got first ZV-1F and then changed with ZV-E10. Changing lenses is a real game changer for video and photography.

This is thousand dollar camera. It should be good.
Hate to say it, just get the Pocket 3 Creator combo. Especially for Vlogging or content creators. My pastry chef, personal trainer, & DJ I manage all use the Pocket 3 & find it easy to use with great quality.
if your only interested in video, but as a hybrid shooter on a budget, this is the way to go.
Pocket 3 is a great camera, but for taking head youtube videos the ZV-E10 is better suited. All down to the right tool for the job!
