  • A bike helmet designed for the higher speeds of motorized bikes, without weighing you down or cooking your brain.
    I'm offering my feedback and asking Xnito a question to see if they are listening.
    Xnito's helmets meet the NTA-8776 standers, and are designed for the higher speeds of electric bikes, scooters, and other EVs.
    Because most gas bikes ride at similar speeds to electric bikes, this makes them a good option for us as well.

    I wear a full face helmet. I live in the city and have to keep up with traffic a lot of the time. With the sort of speeds these bikes are able to get to, I very much recommend getting some proper motorcycle protection. I sure was happy that I was wearing a full face helmet when I had my first wreck, front tire popped and I fell over the handle bars, my face went down and the helmet took everything.

    • @LAHover
      @LAHover  Před 2 lety +3

      Completely understandable. Motorcycle speeds and dodging traffic will likely benefit that style of helmet.
      This is more for bike lane speeds and relaxed riding. More comfortable than a dot, more protection than CPSC, MIPS, and ASTM f1952.
      Everything is a trade off.

    Ben from Xnito responded to my question :)
    Yes, the accident replacement will cover the helmet more than once. But after the first replacement you will have to cover shipping.
    I find this to be a reasonable response.
    He also pointed out that it's recommended to replace a bike helmet every 5 years, I did not know this at the time of recording.

    • @DemonratsRevil
      @DemonratsRevil Před 2 lety +1

      Yes. Any kind of helmet will be recommended to be changed ever 5 or 6 years. Kinda sucks. Especially if you just dabble in things here and there

      I'm curious whether this is actually a necessity. After recently watching a video of a sport motorcyclist talk about this issue regarding tires and later mentioning he'd have a video up of him riding fast on a track with ten year old tires to show that age isn't quite as much as a concern as we're meant to believe. TBF, he thought it was too until someone let him know otherwise, that's why he was nervous doing it.

    I crashed my daily bike at ~40 mph on pavement with just a bog standard bicycle helmet and walked away... I can see why a better helmet might suit some people, but from my experience, the regular helmet works just fine lol. Especially when the average 2 stroke bicycle only sees 35 mph max on a good day downhill.

    • @shelbertoswaggapants873
      @shelbertoswaggapants873 Před 2 lety +4

      Yeah I went with a fullface downhill helmet and glad I did, I assumed it was good enough for mountain bikers riding downhill next to giant trees/rocks and hitting massive jumps, it's probably good enough for putting around at 35 mph in traffic. Gotta say I wouldn't want to switch to anything else, when I got hit i landed head/shoulder first the only thing that bothered me in the end was the shoulder.

      Ouch!!! Yeah this helmet is not for motorcycle speeds. It's for the legal limit of motorized bike.

    a question I just had so I recently swapped my motor on my cranbrook bike and Bike is running good but it is a newer motor so I’m in the break in period I’m running 40.1 fuel and oil ratio is that good for a new engine! It’s a 100cc 2 stroke motor also will my engines power increase once’s engine is fully broken in?

    It's a pretty nice helmet but I only wear a full face helmet...if anyone has slid down the pavement on there face you would understand...if I would've had a open face on I may not be here now..it ruined a 60 dollar shield and I was going that fast but going at low speed it would be ok ..

      Here Here!!! I always wear my full face and some leather jacket. I had my first wreck a month ago after my front tire popped. My head went down and the helmet took everything! The main thing about these motorized bikes is that they get up to about 30mph and that's enough for some serious injuries.

    Don’t like the colors but it looks like it fits well and would protect during a fall. With the ebike explosion I see many riding no helmets 30 on sidewalks and improperly put together bikes with front skewers straight out! Pretty freaky. One pot hole or large sidewalk crack and over the bars you go.

    I know this is off topic but wanted to stick this on the most recent video. I put together my pk80 and took it on the first trip to work after a few weeks of driving around and tinkering with things to make sure I was ready. I really under estimated the hills on my path to work. Other than a higher tooth sprocket, what would you suggest as the next best upgrade to help the wildcat take on the hills? A better head for cooling and compression? I seem to lose about 50 precent or more power, but not so much that I can peddle. Thank you in advance.

    • @LAHover
      @LAHover  Před 2 lety +1

      Many of them come too rich with around a 72~ jet. Simply dropping down the jet size can help a good bit. Try the 65-70 jet kit from bike berry. Start with the 70 and work your way down.
      A pipe will help. The Deluxe or wc80 is decent, the real mz65 is best.
      Finally, porting will open it up nicely. Specifically making the exhaust port 4mm wider (2mm per side).

    150 is extremely cheap for a helmet compared to any other kind of sport that requires helmets.
