- Mariah The Scientist takes Speedy Morman out for a day in her life as she prepares for a sold out show in New York's Music Hall of Williamsburg. The Atlanta native shared stories about shifting her path while still attending classes at St. John's University in Queens, NY. Her connection to the borough would continue when she recorded early songs in the late Jam Master Jay's Queens based Hall of Fame studio. Along the way, she reveals how relationships, family and friends [including Complex News alum Beija Velez] have kept her steady as her career begins to take flight and discusses the conspiracy theories around her songs.

I'm not even gonna lie, Mariah and Speedy had some really cool chemistry going on throughout the entire interview. I can tell they were both trying too keep it professional of course, but the energy was definitely there on the slick tip lol. I’m late to her music but I absolutely LOVE her energy and voice. Her lyrics are really vulnerable and unafraid of looking like she doesn’t have it all figured out, which I love. That is so funny that the soundtrack she made for someone didn't want to hear it because they thought it would be bad, and they didn't want to criticize her.
