How Drae feels about Ast is how everybody else who bitches about NM while playing a higher tier character feels about NM. NM and Ast are both high damage characters who're slower than the rest of the cast, so fewer of the risks they take need to pay off for them to win and an opponent isn't allowed to make as many mistakes as they are in other match-ups. However, the risks both characters take to get damage are often greater than other characters, and because they're slower and more constrained in their ability to punish, it's easier to avoid mistakes. Nobody else has this much trouble with Ast because they're so much faster than him they're able to avoid making enough mistakes for Ast to capitalize on with his enormous damage. Even though he doesn't do as much damage, NM is just fast enough by comparison that a lot of people seem to make more mistakes against him, allowing him to win, but since NM is still pretty slow, he doesn't have as much of an advantage against Ast. Fighting Ast feels to NM like what fighting NM feels like to everybody else. That's why Drae feels like Ast is doing NM's job better than NM. It's still wrong, but it's interesting to watch regardless.

Astaroth needs a reworking. His grabs have amazing range and murder healthbars. His ce grab is guaranteed if not ducked. His ram move ducks highs and is a good gap closer for him. Nightmare got nerfed hard but is still fun to play.
Good fight. Asty is very slow, easy to button mash against, can't punish hardly anything, he whiffs moves too much (especially Hades Swing), doesn't have good lows. You have other characters that have lethal lows. How cheap and easy is that?
@@Draethiox I am sorry I had a really bad day and my comment was a little bit rude. My tips is to attack astaroth he doesn't have a good move to make you go away when you are in his face, also when he is attacking remain calm there are a few times that you said that only requires one mistake to lose and that is not really true I would say nightmare has a bad match up since most of his moves are really high risk/high reward and if you miss astaroth can punish you really hard when he is in attacking you try to squeeze a k or a grab to break his offense also I don't know if you know this but if you breack a command throw the opponent is on +8 so be careful.
