I am an engineer, my neighbors were engineers and pilots. We watched for nearly 20 minutes until the lights drifted out of sight to the south... we knew without a doubt we were witnessing something that was NOT available technology or natural phenomena. It was a HUGE lighted object hovering and moving slowly. We called Police, Luke Field, the Airport... nothing... no followup. It's nice to see the Govt finally waking up and publicly admitting "something is going on".

I can say that the "lights over phoenix" (a clip you showed in the intro with 3-6 lights in a row) were bright flares with parachutes. When the local Air Force Base was asked about it they said no Air Force unit was flying at the time but they were not tracking Air National Guard units which were conducting training missions in the area. Also the flares dropped below the mountain range which made them seem to disappear. Pilots at my guard base are asked about this story ever few years and they try to set the record straight but no one wants to hear it.

the video has been discredited very quickly after the event. A news station lined up the video at night with a shot of the mountain range during the day showing that the lights faded out exactly at the time each light sinks behind the mountains. This proves these lights did not hover of the city but slowly descended behind the mountains in the background, giving credibility to the flare explanation. This does not explain every sighting that night but the video most likely shows flares.

Did your lanterns have a physical mass that blocked-out the stars? People that actually saw the "Phoenix Lights" that night (from below) said it wasn't just lights in the sky, that in-between all of the lights was a solid V-shaped black mass. I've seen Chinese lanterns, it's possible to rig this in such a way that they hold a shape. The thing in Phoenix was massive and - apart from having a physical form - coasted horizontally across the sky and over the mountains. These weren't lanterns, flares, planes, or helicopters.

the video has been discredited very quickly after the event. A news station lined up the video at night with a shot of the mountain range during the day showing that the lights faded out exactly at the time each light sinks behind the mountains. This proves these lights did not hover of the city but slowly descended behind the mountains in the background, giving credibility to the flare explanation. This does not explain every sighting that night but the video most likely shows flares.
That's not how flares work lol 😂 if they were flares there would have been a smoke trail, flares aren't that strong to be seen from end of the city and not only that they most likely would have been red lol

superimposed over a recording from the daytime you see that every single light in that video is descending and vanishes exactly once lined up with the mountain range. This means that the lights were descending and where behind the mountain range, not over the city. This is the area where the military claimed to have dropped parachute flares during an exercise. This is a reasonable explanation matching observation. There is 0 reason to assume this footage to show anyhing else.
This does not explain every sighting that night but this footage has 100% been debunked.

Because the psyche is not interested in the truth. It is interested in stability, no matter the cost. It will do everything in it's power to make whatever we want to be the truth seem like the truth. Aside from that, i know the universe is gigantic, beyond all imagination. I know it is expanding, in every place at once. I know that this means that the more distant something is from us, the faster it moves away. Which means that 94% of the observable universe is already out of reach forever, because it is being pushed away faster than the speed of light. I know that the time in which humans gave of any detectable sign of intelligence (like radio-signals) compared to the age and size of the universe was so miniscule, that it would be an absolute miracle if anybody out there was already reached by it. I also know the distances between solar-systems are so vast that it would take an eternity, even at the fastest speed possible, to reach us. I know that due to the relativity of time visiting us would serve no purpose for a civilisation, as the planet from which a vessel would leave would see even more time pass than the traveling craft. I also assume that the evolution of life, let alone intelligent life, is so unfathomably complex and influenced by soooo many factors that it appears to be basically impossible that humanity will ever make contact with another intelligent species.
Everything we know points towards the sad reality that we will never ever meet another intelligent species in the universe. Life is probably out there, but we will never see it.
