I was there live and it was a wild scene.
As security was escorting this guy out another fan actually attacked him!
They escorted both of them out and let the second fan back in about 10 to 20 minutes later.
This is the second time something like this has happened in Brooklyn with the first being the attack on Bret Hart at the Hall of Fame in 2019.
Those two attackers are gonna be a tag team

People tend to forget how Dimebag Darrel was killed, a nut jumped on stage and shot him point blank during a show, what if this guy who went after Seth had a gun? They need to step up security, and stop acting like all the fans are nice people.
Not only Dimebag, he took more lives and injured others. What with how people use social media nowadays and people are so willing to believe anything and everything it's scary what this guy could have done.
Because no one's ever got past those checks right 🙄
@TheBestFighter so it still can happen sir, mentioning that a person can sneak in a weapon is not reaching.
Clearly you never been to a wrestling live event in your life. Sucks to be you 🤣
@TheBestFighter "you clown" "you bum" damn, someone doesnt like being wrong lol
I was apart of the security team for this year's Wrestlemania and I can say this with all truth and honesty, majority if not all of the security teams that are contracted for these arenas are absolute trash. Most of them are old/out of shape and in no physical condition to prevent any person from committing things such as hopping a barricade. A few of them are only there to see glimpses of the wrestlers and have no genuine care for the safety of both the audience members and the in-ring performers. And then there are the ones who are only there for a easy paycheck and will do everything they can to do as little as possible. If WWE wants to prevent further incidents such as this from happening again, they are better off hiring their own full security team or doing a better job of vetting their contracted security team for the arena that they will be performing in.
Bingo! Well Said
I think they do but they’re limited to making sure hard cam crowds behave. Also any arena is probably contracted with some security company and wouldn’t sign off on a company bringing in their own full size security detail.
I really have to compliment Jim on his memory and recall. I don’t remember things that happened to me last week with this much detail!
Yeah Haku wasnt exactly the best example lol. He would've moved the security like children and done a Mortal Kombat fatality on the fan in front of God and everyone.
God would’ve turned his gaze toward Yonkers and muttered “oh no I can’t watch him do this again” to Himself…

Haku would've snatched any fan's soul out of their body had someone jumped him.

This is the 2nd time in 3 years a WWE star has been physically attacked at the Barclay's. If I was Vince, I'd probably wait a couple years before going back there, until that building gets their shit together
Yeah good luck with that if Vince wants to book a venue that can handle his ego which involves any big arena for that matter.
@@BeyondDaX from my understanding the barclays center is a cheaper building than MSG. If that's true it'd explain why WWE use MSG far less than Barclays.

I thought Jim was gonna have to calm him down! That was awesome lol.

Hahaha This comment is too funny yet cool. I wish WWE had Haku as security for the live tv shows because he would be the only person they need in situations like this 😄
it's to seth's credit that he didn't get hot and attack the guy in the heat of the moment. he somehow did the minimum, keeping himself safe and not roughing the guy up, which would be bound to have bad optics if it emerges that there's mental health issues at play. really the best outcome anyone could have hoped for. Just hope WWE see it that way
And this clown “fan” said on social media that he just had to do it to send a message to Seth and blah blah….total meatball !! 🤦🏻♂️🙄

The fact that Chavo tried to mock Rollins for getting blindsided is sad. Too bad they don’t let the stars retaliate. I understand why tho.

I remember back during the Attitude Era they'd have these random moments of plant fans getting smacked around by wrestlers. I remember Kane and the Acolytes had moments like this. Rick Rude was literally hewn from granite. I love the story of him putting Ultimate Warrior to sleep with a slap. Rude was polite and up front about Warrior being way too stiff, Hellwig pulled the I do what I want because I'm the Warrior, Rick Rude responded with SLAP, followed by Hellwig taking the Ultimate nap.
Brooklyn was apparently a wild crowd. they had the incident with Seth and that guy. then after the show during the dark match. Montez Ford and MVP dared another fan to jump over the barricade to fight.

Idiot fans can't sue no one once they step into that ring and that's when it's becomes fair game to beat the living crap out of them..
@@kenrickeason I think the biggest reason not to attack a fan would be to not risk giving corporate an excuse to fire you. It would suck so hard if you defended yourself and WWE fires you because they think you are a risk or something like that.

I know they won't let Jim do creative ever again, but at least let him do a seminar for wrestlers on being attacked by fans. Few have more experience.
First they'd have to let him do a seminar on making fans care. And they've already turned that down.
How about teaching pro wrestlers basic defensive wrestling?
If Seth would've hit that fan once the staff had the situation under control, it would've been just like Jericho taking his cheap shot on the AEW fan. Unneccessary and proves nothing lol. Good for Seth for showing restraint
In fairness to Seth he handles these situations well. There was also that time when he was in that program with Fin Balor / Demon King and a fan hit the ring during a promo. Im still ok with the old school mentaility of if they jump the barricade theyre fair game for a shot or two at least. They have no business being there & dumb actions have consequences
@@MeNoSpeakJibberish I agree with what you're saying. Like if Seth would've got a couple of strikes in before the staff showed up it would've been totally justified, Rollins would've just been defending himself. But there is nothing to gain from attacking someone whenever they are already restrained y'know
It's a good thing the guy didn't have a weapon on him. At least there were no serious injuries, but WWE really needs to do something about their security of lack thereof. There will always be a couple of idiotic, drunk fans out there that can't tell the difference between fiction and reality. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy wasn't all there to begin with, either.

@@brokentablespodcast I know what moron why would any current wrestler will argue with fan even situation like this this why many wrestlers today don't bother with social media
Even if he did see it coming, in this modern era, you can't get into a brawl with fans, even if it's the fans' fault. That way now leads to a lawsuit and possible criminal charges. I'm no particular fan of Seth a lot of the time, but that's not his fault.
Right. Seth has every right to inflict punishment on the fan because he's the talent. The fan was 100% in the wrong and should not have been anywhere near Seth. There is no way that Seth could be held liable for beating the hell out of that fan.
@@elhajjmalikel6266 The fan will definitely catch the assault charge but if Seth were to retaliate while that guy was being restrained that’s a battery charge. His only chance at retaliation is before security & officials intervene
@@elhajjmalikel6266 That's not how the law works. Self defense is only allowed if the amount force used is reasonable. It's generally not considered reasonable to defend yourself from a skinny fat nerd without a weapon (essentially not a big threat to cause physical harm) by pounding his face in until he's got the shit beaten out of him. That's why WWE dont let the high testosterone guy wrestlers deal with the fans. Their worried they use force past self defense and cause liability for the company.
@@jessepaiz6356 the fan at least deserved to get tackled or locked in a choke.
Self defense, don’t be a progressive or a digressive about it. You get attacked it’s whoop ass time, and I bet nobody has more money there than Vince to fight that sort of thing and get a law suit to put them out of their house and home.
I’m no fan of his, but I have to admire Seth’s restraint in not laying in to the guy - I’m pretty sure that Seth could have knocked this guys teeth down his throat in a shoot fight situation, and the instinct to do just that was probably there, but he chose to no-sell it and let the crew deal with it instead - hats off to him for that, because most wrestlers would have lost their cool and wanted to save face in those circumstances
Huh? This guy was kicking Seth's ass.
I seriously doiubt he could. He didnt even apply the front facelock right and was about to get his lights punched out. It took 4 guys to struggle and remove that fan. Seth should have just walked away instead of cowering 10 feet away while hiding behind security
I can see this being a two-parter. The mental aspect is definitely correct from the promo that the guy dropped once he got out of lockup, but the backstory is just so weird of him getting scammed and his girlfriend getting locked up because of a setup by the scammer. Then, throw in the fact that the guy had been brooding on social media for two years without people taking notice to what was happening. It is a sad situation, and I don't know that the fan has the mental capacity to ever understand the truth.
The guy definitely seems to be a little downsy
Hold on what his girlfriend got locked up?

From what I understand, and this could be wrong, the guy who did it got scammed by a fake Seth Rollins account on social media and then ended up blaming the real Seth Rollins. He went live on Facebook or Instagram before the show started and you can hear him saying "This is how I'm gonna do it." and he's talking to security guards and stuff.

Gulf Coast Coliseum description is highly accurate. 😂🤣
I read somewhere that if you’re in fear of your life you are allowed to defend yourself with no legal repercussions in the state of New York.
Let's be honest: sometimes, defending oneself might mean beating the entirety of the fuck out of the person attacking you. Especially if the cops are slow to respond.
Id like to hear a compilation of interviews from those police from back in the day in various territories ! Probably be hard to track them down , but would be interesting to hear their side !
One of the fans should jump the rail and try attacking Brock Lesnar.
Shit even the 90s or early 2000s....Austin got attacked in the ring n hhh n the ref beat the f outta em
The fan was taken to suplex city on a fast pass
If Seth attacked the guy while the guy was being restrained that would be assault, but if he attacked him while he had him in the headlock that would be self defense. The key difference is opportunity, restrained the guy has no opportunity to hit/hurt Seth, but unrestrained (being restrained by Seth himself does not count, because that is still the 2 engaging) the guy has an opportunity to hit/hurt Seth.
Maybe, but 2 things. if varies state to state, 2) Seth looked scared and like he couldnt handle the guy. He was running his mouth while backing away and 4 guys struggling to take him away. Just embarrasing for everyone.
I can't believe Jim had another fan run in the show. Its always Jim's fault.🤣 If Rollins had a bad ass manager with a tennis racket maybe it would have ended differently.
J&J security must have had the night off
I saw people talking about this just after it happened, but I missed it. I did manage to see the clip earlier today though.
The initial shock of "does he have a weapon". Imagine he did, or broke a bit of glass from a beer bottle and plunged him. Seth done brilliantly but I get the story narrative, if seth when got him in a headlock started punching him, would of been self defence. If he was held down and then he attacked, be assault. On TV. Robbers can sue nowadays, let a lone a guy with I assume a mental health disorder being held down and battered on live TV, lol. He handled it well, scary as could of been much worse if he had a weapon of some kind
He was humiliated and AGAIN it was not a headlock but a badly applied front facelock which is why Colby easily escaped. Seth hid behind security and he was lucky they saved him, Clearly Seth can not fight and it shows how the business has changed and the new era has no idea how to really defend themselves. This will invite more fans to challenge wrestlers, Hopefully Im wrong. This guy already has fame in his eyes, a youtube video, and this was planned in advance by him. All the security should be fired, it took 3 or 4 guys to take him out as Seth stayed far away pissing himself. Go watch the old videos, the talent beat the fuck out of fans that did this if the ref didnt get them first. Because the old guys knew shoot holds and how to fight. It just kills any credibility wrestling even has left when fans can challenge the talent like this. WWE should be ashamed.

WWE and AEW need to tell the people in charge of the arenas that they need to tighten their security more. Wrestlers shouldn't be subjected to the stupid actions of fans like this. From what I heard on Twitter. This is the same arena Bret Hart got attacked when he was getting inducted in the HOF.
"Like Mussolini and Seth Rollins!"
I was there and saw this happen and it was a wild scene. We all thought this was a part of the show but then quickly we realized that it was a fan. There were no cops around at all and he's lucky Seth didn't beat him up. The crowd let the fan have it afterwards and after this Seth went right back into character.
I dont think seth would've been able to get that guy off of him if it weren't for security
Vince: "We need to hire security to watch those dark corners of the building? Where will that money come from? I guess we'll have to release more talent.
Anytime something happens in wrestling I’m excited to hear Jim and Brian talk about it.
This is embarrassing. This is combat sports and Seth looked like he couldn't take care of himself. Ugh another CM Punk
Another Young Buck more like it. Never forget, Torn Tricep Punk still beat up the Cucamonga Kids.
That fan actually speared Rollins pretty damn good.
The mental image of corny battling with fans is hilarious
Why's cornette getting arrested by joey ryan? Did he refuse to TOUCH IT?
Seth handled it like a total professional. Chavo is ridiculous. His whole career was based off his last name. Yes he was talented but so are most of the roster. Nobody wants 1 more match out of him and if he’s still wrestling nobody ever will.
Idk man, you can't buy heat like this and now I think people would pay to watch Seth rip Chavo in half in the ring.
Colby Lopez calling his ASS-ailant a "mother-fucker" on LIVE, national television wasn't professional and if he shoot-curb-stomped the fool in NY, it would've been completely legal.
@@bradpaton3927 He wouldn't have had criminal charges, but he'd have had the headache of that asshole suing him.
MaYBE, but Chavo can shoot and Seth cant. Thats the point. Not beating down or at least subduing this fan will invite more to try it.
Funny Chavo said that, in WCW when someone jumped in and attacked wrestlers, little 130 lb referee Mark Curtis tied the guy up.
MMA fighters would have put out a long guard slid back and threw a punch or kick, it's instinct after years of training you only need half a second to prepare. Not Seth's fault though 2 seconds is nothing to almost anybody other than trained fighters. I don't know why Seth is being victim blamed, slag off the guy who jumped the rail
Becauase todays wrestlers have never been in a fight or worked territorys where they had to defend themselves. It just rubs in your face these guys are all fake gymnastic dancers now.
New Jack would have killed the guy ( quite literally)
Except not in a venue as big as a raw taping
He would've gotten away with it in NY, too.
Didn't know New Jack was known for his excellent takedown defense or BJJ ability.
True story. Cornhole is pure hated where I'm from. I remember watching him and the midnight express in my HS gym in 87. The sound of that racket slapping your childhood heroes back INFURIATED the crowd there. (Deep Carolinas)
They worked all over the Piedmont and Low country
Happy🍁Thanksgiving Corny!!!!
The private security had the Patrick Swayzie Road House rules of taking out someone. "Be Nice"
The security should be fired...first the egg was stolen and then, this..
