I honestly like these weird and goofy brick built animals. They have that old school Lego charm that we rarely see these days.

The bee in my opinion is really cute, very simplistic, yet easy to identify.

I don't really find myself hating the polybag ones too much when you consider that they weren't really designed to be something permanently on display, instead more of a basket stuffer to make for a fun, little build before being ultimately absorbed into the lego bucket at home.
I love the 3-in-1 polybags. That they can get three recognizable models (even if they aren't all the same quality of build) from a polybag's worth of parts is just amazing.

That creepy monkey 3-in-1 set was my first LEGO set ever. Though it doesn't look good, the building system that the set introduced to me was enough to sell me on LEGO as a whole, and I haven't looked back since.

But it just has such a Lego charm, it’s fun and it’s creative, even if it is a bit creepy.

I think the levers on the spider are meant to represent pedipalps which are essentially weird arm things on spiders that help with catching and eating their food

The Monkey 3 in 1 is so bad that I love it. It also gives me a lot of Mixels vibes, like if there was a jungle/animal tribe than he would be in it

The scorpion is actually missing a pair of legs. It needs 8 legs and 2 arms.
I agree with most of your choices but at 5:04 scorpions like spiders are actually arachnids, having 8 legs (so either it *does* have the right amount of legs and no pincers, or it has pincers *instead of* 8 legs)

@@jenniferdunstan5065 He didn't but he should have for the same reason he said the spider was bad, an incorrect number of legs.
I think the hinge pieces are supposed to be claws, which means the venom of that scorpion is going to be a doozy.
While the spider polybag is definitely a poor representation of a spider, I do think it's a really good "creature" set. You could drop it into any sci fi build as a monster and it works fine and has plenty of playability.
Some of the jank ones look better than the "good" ones, but would be more believable as a generic monster instead of a specific animal.

That monkey 3 in 1 was my favourite, it's so easy to build and unbuild, and make the other ones
Incredible how much some of these remind me of mixels, probably my favorite lego theme growing up for how goofy they looked. I grew up with mostly mixels sets, and they hold a special place in my heart
Fabuland even had a parrot Figure: fab10c It was literally a Fabuland Figure with a parrot shaped head, colored predominantly green with a yellow beak, and not brick built. This seems like an idea SpitBrix might want to do: Consider going through the LEGO Fabuland theme and see what you can come up with regarding it's designs, including origins or any available design notes or tidbits of information about Fabuland you can put together in a video.

8:50 There is one thing wrong with this dog: His mouth is a tongue on a lower jaw, and his entire upper jaw is just a round piece, no teeth no form or shape, no anything. Dogs in real life have both upper and lower jaws and teeth in them with the muzzle and nose on top of it. This is such a big fail I'm surprised SpitBrix didn't point that out in the video!
Even if most of them don’t look good, they are still part of the wonderful Lego history, that’s just how Lego learns from its mistakes !
The scorpion doesn't have the right number of legs. There are still six legs and then the claws. Scorpion claws are modified pedipalps. Also, a scorpion's venom is inversely proportional to the size of the claws, so those claws being extremely tiny means that the scorpion is *extremely* venomous.
Are we all forgetting about the 2023 April Fools set: “The Majestic Horse,” that ended up being some kind of corgi?

I love mid 2000s Creator designer sets. I had the bigger dinosaur one and the bigger animal one. I always wanted the big gray robot and sea creatures sets too. There was a really cool game on the creator website back then that I played a lot.
7:27, Fun Fact. Lego added feature to the parrot in that 3 in 1 set. If you put those brown tile studs in its mouth, and lift up the parrot's tail, well... it poops.

those old derpy creator animals are some of my favorite sets
The reason why the bear bear was brick built was because it was a Lego Creator 3 and 1 and they don't use very many molded pieces if at all
I used to have the Rainforest Animals, it's playability was good, you need to put the seeds in the parrot's mouth and it just poop out 😂

Eight legged spiders are what triggers arachnophobia, the fear of spiders, it’s why in a lot of media spider creatures will usually have 6 legs because it doesn’t trigger anyone’s deep feeling fear
So people stop to count bugs legs to know if they should be scare or not
@@serenitynow85 Belated reply, but it's instinct ingrained within us. Spiders are generally the most lethal bugs people will encounter, so over time those with an instinctive fear and revulsion response toward eight-legged things tended to survive. It's the same thing with fear of wriggly things that look like snakes.

the frog and exotic frog are actually awesome looking.

One of the first Lego sets that I bought with my own money off Rite Aid pharmacy. Sure the small animal builds look odd, but I still had fun building them.
These vids just get better and better, and a bit random but I think you should do more of those minifigure opening videos, I really loved the Ninjago ones, and I thought maybe try something a bit different like Chima, idk just an idea!👍
Spitbrix I found a Ninjago leak in Lego brawls if you go on to the dragons rising theme there’s this strange character called “orb temple spirit”
Some of those lego sets gives me nightmares.

I love LEGO, the sets are almost always very creative and look amazing to show as a collection, sadly they're really expensive so I can only watch and dream.

Also the design fail for me was also a 4998 Stegosaurus. Why a titular dinosaur has a huge head with even bigger teeth? It just looks wrong.
That monkey isn't terrible if you think of it as the basis for a FNAF style haunted animatronic - it's an amazing build for that purpose!

i had that finale lego parrot set the exotic parrot and it found a way to get the parrot off the stick but i can't remember how to do it

I have both the Exotic Parrot and Exotic Pink Parrot. I actually just put the Pink one together an hour ago and it's sitting right here beside me. I'm going to take it apart, because I need the feet for a TARDIS MOC.
I also got the Adorable Dogs. I don't think they look adorable, though.

With the six legs, lever pieces and bricks in colours spiders don't usually have, I would argue that set is an ant build.

The scorpion is wrong. They are decopods (meaning ten feet). He should have 8 legs PLUS the two pincer claws.

Creator sets tend to use brick built animals because being able to build other things out of them is kind of the whole point of the line
